Dog Very Unhappy Being Put On A Diet

Cute video, although I have to say that dog's voice would drive me to drink......

We use green beans - NOT canned ones because of the high levels of salt in them - whenever one of the beasties needs to rediscover their "slim, trim, girly shape"... Phoenix and Arwen used to really enjoy them, but Brinx has always known that we want to poison him and he thinks green beans are one of the worst poisons out there. Carrots are almsot just as scary to him, plus he really can't chew hard stuff like that anymore.

He has lost his "girly figure" since we lost Phoenix and Arwen, and now that he's getting close to 12 years old, he doesn't move around enough - even with the puppies to chase - to burn as many calories as he used to.

So, the poor old guy is pretty much on what he considers to be starvation rations these days.

That is so funny. Cassie just looks at me and asks for my food when she doesn't think she gets enough.

My boys liked their veggies and fruit. Plus Venture loved his apple juice (he would take my glass somewhere he could drink it). Venture was also very fond of carrots and would ask for them from anyone who happened to have some.

I had to give Cassie green beans for a problem she had and she didn't like them too well, but after I put broth on them she got to liking them pretty well (I still don't know how she could) and has liked other things as long as they are cooked. With having cancer I am cooking her food and today she had turkey and spinach.

Oh jeez lol.

My dog cut her teeth on frozen carrots and she loves carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, broccoli, and apples, melons.

I was at the store getting carrots for my dogs. A lady said she was having problems putting her dog on a diet and was going to try carrots. She said it worked great, I do know many dogs don't like carrots, but the vet says their are many befits for giving your dog carrots many are the same as you grabing a carrot for a snack and the main other is clean teeth.
