Something different: My husband and I are visiting our grandchildren in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and this afternoon we walked around a nature reserve along the Rio Grande. We walked over an hour and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is cooler here than in the Midwest and there is no humidity. Just loved the walk.

I have in 205 minutes with a goal of 500 for the month.
Also have been tracking my steps. I am doing 7-8 thousand in a normal day.

I did get my walk in today--despite the very high heat and high humidity. You would think with so much sweating, some of that would be fat just melting off...but Noooo! I can only think I would be very, very large if I didn't do all this exercise and watch my diet.

I got a podometer yesterday in the mail and got it going this am. I was hoping to make 2000 steps, but have already done almost 6000. I guess I don't know how much I really move around. So tonight, I will have to find the place I mark my steps down. I also did some strenght training this am.

I have an appt with the Dr. later this month for a physical and check that cholesterol. I am sooooo excited emoticon

Hi,
I did a 30 minute video tape and 15 minutes working on the arm muscles with weights. Everyone is doing real good. Keep on exercising. I might go for a walk later today (if it doesn't get to hot). emoticon

The SP 10K steps/day team has been very motivating for me. Most days, I get that much and more. I haven't seen great weight come crashing off yet, but 10K equals 5 miles more or less, and it's got to be helping.

I do the video tapes and sometimes I do the whole 30 minutes and other times I do a shorter version depending on how much time I have to do exercise. I do much better if I do exercise early in the day otherwise I have a harder time setting time up for exercise later. Lets not get discourage but keep on exercise no matter what. emoticon
