I think getting discouraged is part of it all. All of us has been there, more than once. Just recognize it for what it is, which is your body telling you to make a couple more changes. You have done that, you joined this site, so keep it up.
When you feel discouraged, dont give up, work harder. Make a decision every morning when you get up, and every night when you go to bed, to keep going anyway. You will see results if you keep working at it.
Definatly track your food, and if you havent already, start reading the spark diet articles, they are very helpful and motivating. read one, and put it into action. when you have that down, read the next one.
You can do it!

I completely understand your frustration. I, too, am struggling to actually lose weight, and I am trying SO HARD to not get discouraged. I've been down this road before, so I know how frustrating it can be.

This time, to prevent major discouragement and giving up, I'm focusing more on making healthy lifestyle changes as opposed to losing weight. I know that the pounds will come off if I keep making healthy lifestyle choices. Plus, focusing on having a healthy lifestyle will allow me to maintain weight loss as living healthily will allow me to keep it all off.

Hang in there! It helps to reach out to the people who understand what you're going through and can relate to the frustration.

I realize that I just posted a comment but I ran across a quote on Pinterest that might encourage you...

"It takes 4 weeks for you to notice your body changing,
8 weeks for your friends,
and 12 weeks for the rest of the world.
Give it 12 weeks. Don't quit."

It's all about motivation. What caused you to decide to lose weight? Think about that daily. Find an accountability buddy. (I'm available if you need one.) Sometimes having someone who knows exactly what you are going through to talk to can really help. Last, set little goals. Don't think about how much weight you have to lose all together. Think two weeks in advance. Shoot for 3 or 4 pounds and then try to accomplish that goal with documenting what you eat, exercising at least 30 minutes 3-4 times per week, drink LOTS of water, and increase your fiber intake.
I hope this helps!

I started trying to lose weight 2 weeks ago, and I haven't lost a pound. That's why I signed up on this site, maybe it'll help. How do I keep myself from just giving up on my goals?
