- Going down a jeans size

- Getting rid of three huge bags of clothes (I deserve better than things that are baggy/old or tight/ill-fitting)

- Friends noticing how 'well' I'm looking

- Wearing new clothes, trying completely new styles that show off my emerging waist :)

- Pushing myself extra hard at the gym

- Noticing that I handle flights of stairs more comfortably than some of my 'thin' friends

- Noticing that this is a lifestyle I enjoy and am happy to maintain for the rest of my life

Everyone has such great things they are noticing! The windex trick is good...I will have to try that! I also love how a smaller pair of jeans feels. I agree with some of you on the indulging. It's good to eat the foods we love, within moderation and only once in awhile...It tastes even better when you don't eat it all of the time!

I'm more aware of what I'm eating and have discovered there are lots of healthy things I like to eat. Also, I'm not getting nearly as winded as I used to when I'd walk.

I love this post :)

I would say one is I am starting to savor food a lot more, and eat slower. I would eat as if my food would get up and walk away, and since it takes about 20 minutes for your brain to tell your tummy it's full, I would eat way too much! I've learned to chew more, drink water in between, and savor each bite.

Another, is indulging but only a little bit. I love the waffle fries from chick-fil-a and they are not AS bad as the ones from McDonald's or Wendy's. However, still not the wisest choice of snack. My boss gave me a large order of waffle fries that the old me would've eaten. Instead, I counted out five fries, sprayed the rest of them with Windex & threw them away. I sprayed them with Windex so they are absolutely not edible :)

Feeling lighter and having more endurance than ever before. Knowing that clothes are fitting better and looking good in them! :)

What a great post! Well, I guess I've got a few:

- First I went from a 22 in jeans to a 20, and yesterday after I got dressed I realized that the 20's are already getting loose. Not a full size yet, but if feels great to have them fit comfortably.

- I went camping with some friends and family this past weekend. We split up the meals so I had almost no control over what was going to be fixed. I did the best I could as far as eating small servings and not snacking, but I refused to have a horrible time and starve myself just because I couldn't pick the food. I did my best, indulged a little, had a great time, and still managed to lose a little weight.

- When I came home from my weekend I didn't have to "start over" and I didn't fall into my old habbits. I got right back on track.

Great job!

I think mine is just finally deciding to do this lifestyle change. I've been in denial about it for so long and kept saying ill start tomorrow..or next week...I'm thrilled and feel so much better that I'm actually doing it!

I often find myself caught up in the scale and the numbers, and forget all of the other wonderful victories I achieve off of the scale. Let's look off the scale and celebrate our "off the scale victories" Here are some of mine!

1. I am able to work out harder at the gym
2. I am finally able to buy a smaller size shirt (Having been an XL or XXL for so long, it is so rewarding to wear a Large...I can't remember the last time!)
3. I am finally sleeping all night...I am not up thinking about what I need to do to lose weight
4. People around me notice a change in my attitude and love that I am happy and upbeat.

What are some of your "off the scale victories"???
