We all do it - and really, let's face it, it's going to happen. Track it, chalk it up to experience and move on. Maybe next time, cut the scone in half and throw the other half away (man is that hard to do sometimes!!!)

My nutritionist suggested eating more protein to fill me up. So after a splurge I try to eat lots of protein at my next meal or snack so I don't feel famished.

Just my two cents :)

Wernerette~ You are totally right about picking only one! I always feel guilty just getting a scone, but to be honest I should go with the coffee nonfat it is less calories! Thanks for the tip! :)

Thanks for some of these great tipes, like a crave day or tracking before eating! I also try to make compromises, like if I am at Starbucks and wanting a coffee and a scone, I'll have to choose either one or the other, not both. I still feel like I'm having a treat, I pick the one I crave the most, but I'm not getting hit with a double whammy!

Today's deal is I am hungry. The day after I work out I am always very hungry which has gotten me in trouble in the past. Yesterday I burned 227 calories at 11pm. This morning I burned 424 by 11am. Tomorrow I should be a hungry beast! I am hoping this withdrawl from so many calories that I used to eat will go away soon! :) Still totally Positive about this venture!

anything I consider frivolous calories or not vital calories I track before I eat so that I am fully aware of the choice I am making.

I really learned a lot when I started tracking everything I put in my mouth. I would have never guessed that I was eating that many calories in a day. I'm good about it now and can usually guess about where I'm at, but I still track everything (not as good about this on the weekends).
This whole process is a learning experience and you said it right that everyday is a fresh start.

Amanda,
Thanks! I hope that you feel better! Sometimes we just fall into that good tasting stuff! I just read an article that picking a "crave day" helps with weight loss. I picked Saturday; therefore, starting on Sunday if I crave brownies I have to wait until Saturday to eat them. That is if I even crave them by then! I thought it is a good trick. I don't know how well it will work though! Good luck!

I blew 240 calories on 3 fun-sized twixes today. Ugh! And now my stomach hurts. I need to remember that...

Chalk it up to a learning experience. It's going to happen and as long as its not an every day thing it will work itself out in the end.

So I must admit I am hungry today! I continue to drink water because after dinner I am done with my calories for today! Ummm I blew 624 calories between a venti caramel macchiato and a scone! WHAT was I thinking! Dang! Now I have perspective on why I am fat! Ugh! I look forward to tomorrow morning when I will start fresh! Oh and the drink was nonfat! :( UGH on wasting so many calories!
