Great ideas here! Thanks for the post - it serves as a reminder that I need to add some structure to my journey and come up with my mini rewards.

Love the flowers idea the best.

My journey is a 140lbs long, at least... and well, it can get overwhelming at times.
So, I made a huge motivation poster of 100goals I had, answering the question, what would life be like, if my health wasn't in charge... who would I be? what would i do? what would life be like?
So, for every 10lbs, i get to put a paper rose sticker (looks like a real mini rose) on the poster as i've blossomed and grown a bit more to reach a goal. In addition, I've gotten shirts at the clearance rack for CHEAP for the next size down... getting to wear my 20lb lost shirt today was HUGELY reinforcing.
Also, I added milestone goals, and corresponding rewards. At 25lbs lost I want to try a new hairstyle. At 50lbs lost, I get to look into fertility treatments (a big deal to me) AND I want to take a short drive around the countryside, a hobby of mine. At 70lbs, go visit a new city near me in Texas.... it's my halfway point!!! At 75lbs, I want to stay at a bed and breakfast. At 100lbs, I'll finally be at a weight where my size won't keep me out of activities, and I want to go horseback riding. At 125lbs, I want to go away for teh weekend at one of my bigger destination places, in Texas. At 140lbs, I'm having a mini-me party

I don't have to get there fast... I just have to keep reaching for my goals, and keep moving towards them. Slow and steady wins the race!

I decided to start a Rewards Money Jar. I get 2 dollars for every day I stay in my calories, 2 dollars for every day I workout/hit the gym, & 1 dollar for every pound I lose. I going out of town at the end of November so I'm using that as my spending cash.

It was a fine line between a bungee and a skydive but I think I would enjoy (if that's the right word) the skydive more and it's longer in the air too:-)

My husband is scared of heights and thinks I am insane!

I make a goal of 10 pounds. Then I choose a little reward that I will earn when I make it. One goal was Keurig K Cups, another was a item for the kitchen or bathroom. Things that strike my fancy. It so nice to see that I am making progress that I have to reward myself for the effort.

I am rewarding for every 5kg (11lb), I just treated myself to a Trollbead for my bracelet for my first 5kg:-)

Others in the pipeline are:
Philosophy skincare set
Facial
Underwear from Rigby and Peller
Manicure and Pedicure

My big one for reaching goal will be a little off the wall but is something I have always wanted to do, I want to go for a skydive, most of these have to be done as a tandem jump and I have always been put off for being too fat and embarrassed about being strapped to someone much fitter than me. So yes, I want to jump out of a plane!

I promised myself for every ten pounds I would treat myself to a mani pedi.....Im the type of mom that its all about the kids and barely have anything left for me. Well Ive learned that I also have to make myself happy and Im proud to say that I have already done my first mani pedi and well on my way to my second. I also have my eye on a designer bag that will be my present to myself when I reach my goal....GL to all

I recently rewarded myself with a small bouquet of flowers for losing 2 pounds last week. It's a nice visual reminder for me and it's also very colorful which helps keep my mood up.

Another small reward could be to get yourself a new book you've been wanting. I love to read and I often have a hard time going to a bookstore NOT buying something. So since I have stopped buying books and going to the library instead, buying a new book would be a good reward for me. Or if you don't like books, maybe buying a new movie that just came out on DVD that you liked.

I have for myself a mini goal of losing 15 to 20 pounds by Thanksgiving. If I can do that AND keep losing throughout the holiday season, then I will get myself a new blu-ray player for the new year.

I know what you mean: I have this same problem! I find, as well as many Sparkers I would guess, chosing non-food rewards. Perhaps a new pair of pants, earrings, or something else small? I look forward to seeing the answers people give you...

Every day that you do your Fast Break goals, put a dollar in a jar. At the end of the week, take the jar to the store and buy whatever non-food item strikes your fancy!

You don't have to eat the whole thing.

I know what you mean, when I think of rewarding myself it is usually with food, like going out to dinner or something rich for dessert. Recently I have started taking baths with foaming bath balls and some scented candles for a reward. It may not sound like much, but with two kids in school and all the stress that comes with it, a bath can really be just the thing. Its what I did when I finally broke into the teens.

Hi, I have my big reward set for getting to 200 pounds. However, I am still doing my fast break goals and can not come up with a small reward. I have always thought of rewards as food like comfort food. But thats no longer an option. Any Ideas would be great! I have a problem with over thinking if you can not tell! emoticon
