I'm a complete newbie here, so this last week, I was working on remembering to track all my food, which I was somewhat successful at.

I hope not to completely overdo it at a potluck this weekend. Those kinds of social events are difficult for me because the food is usually so tempting and everyone else is eating... so I will have a planned indulgence but not eat eat eat!

I need to work out more consistently. I am hoping to start tomorrow again but it will all depend on my back. I tweaked it yesterday and it's really sore today. Hoping to get into my chiropractor tomorrow to see if it can be adjusted and that solves the problem.

Consistently hitting all my cardio workouts after my strength train workouts all 5 days this week. I alternate which body sections I strength train, don't worry. Weekends are usually my days off unless I go on a walk with my husband.

I need to work on keeping up with my nutrition plan even on the weekend because when Friday/Saturday come it's like emoticon I just want to eat junk food!!! I am wondering if for the rest of September if I should challenge myself not to have weekends so out of control!

Proud of my progress so far this week, recommitting to no sugar and no artificial sweetener. I think I'm a sugar addict and that stuff just makes me think about, and crave, food and sweets. These past two (three?) months Sparking have been the first time in my life that food (in particular, sweets) are not on my mind 24/7. I like that food is not my number one priority.

Regulate my sleep schedule. I tend to stay up until 3-4am and sleep until noon (I'm a stay at home for now but start an apprentice in Spring 2015). As a result, I miss breakfast and eat later. Also, I tend to have real strong snack cravings from 12am until I go to bed so getting to sleep earlier should help me sleep through those bad habits!

This week I need to work on not wanting a glass of wine or light beer with dinner every other night. I use it to unwind however I seem like I want it at least 3-4 times a week. It's not horrible because I normally limit to one or two drinks but I think these empty calories are not helping my efforts. This week I will try to not have it until Saturday when hubs and I watch college football. emoticon

I am trying to start a new routine this week. My daughter just started kindergarten, and she is in after school care, so that gives me time after work to go work out before I pick her up. Today I picked her up a little early (since it was the first day) and she told me that I picked her up too early- she was just going outside to play. So this evening we did a water workout while she swam. Tomorrow the gym!

Its a wonderful day to be the new me!

What is 1 thing you need to or want to work on improving this week? We'd love to hear next week how you did, too!

I need to work on eating better on the weekends. I don't eat poorly, but I think I really under-eat the good stuff (so I guess it could be considered eating poorly). I need to work on maybe getting in a few more healthy snacks for starters. We are so busy running errands and catching up after the work week that I forget to take care of myself. :) The last 2 weekends now I have hit Sunday night not feeling so great, which that doesn't happen to me during the work week.
