Kahlad1,
I hope no weight loss means no weight gain, because that's a really good day. I having a getaway weekend with my wife and it is a challenge making good eating choices, but that's what this is all about :making better choices.

had my weigh-in this morning....no weight loss. However, I took some measurements and I am down 1/2 inch on my waist, 1/2 inch on my hips, and a 1/2 inch on my upper arm. I thought that was pretty good for the month.

Hi everyone! I hope you are enjoying your Friday. It is super slow for me at work, so it is making my day long.

Thanks for welcoming me back! I think if I keep posting, it is better for me. When I start to fall off, that is when I start to slack on my exercise plans and keeping track of what I eat.

Music - Don't beat yourself up for your choices. It is so easy to remember the bad things. Try to remember and be thankful for the good choices that you make. Mistakes are an opportunity to try harder and be better next time.

Sounds like someone had a super fun birthday! I want a bike for my birthday too, I think I should start working on my husband now...

So yesterday was a bad food day for me on my first day back. We had a potluck at work and there was food everywhere! I tried to make good choices (salad for lunch), but I brought carrot cake cupcakes and there were brownies, which are my downfall. I have started tracking my food today, so hopefully it will be better.

I also checked out the new YMCA last night. It is HUGE! The have a lap pool, a therapy pool, a kids pool and a family pool, plus childcare, two basketball courts, and three exercise studios for classes. Plus a huge open area of equipment. If you knew what our old YMCA looked like, you would be surprised. My son and I went and I got 40 minutes on the treadmill while he played some basketball. The upside to going was that I saw several people there that I knew, including two people from work. One of them and I are going to start going together and being exercise buddies. YAY!

I hope everyone enjoys their weekend emoticon

Hello everyone,
Work got so busy this morning that I couldn't get to a plate. So, now it's the afternoon and I haven't eaten. Past experience tells me this is not a good thing.

MRSDICKEY congratulations!!
Looking forward to nicer weather and committing myself to the 30 minute walk to pick up kids from school 3x week. I have lost 8 pounds since starting in January. I need to step up my exercise to see more weight loss.

Good Morning all:
Happy Dr. Seuss day! I had to make my daughter green eggs today for breakfast. YUK.
But it made her happy.
I am off to the store to go food shopping. I am very happy these days it seems like most of the things on my list are from the outside of the store, meaning mainly fresh foods, like veggie, fruit, meat dairy. I even have my husband eating much better, I am happy he feels much better. He has only lost 3 or 4 lb. but his clothes are bigger on him.
I haven't gotten on the scale this week but I feel lighter and smaller.
I did some exercises first thing this morning and I have had my juice and my green tea.
I will eat my fruit before I leave and go food shopping.I am freezing here. It is around 38degrees and I am stalling leaving my house.
I hope everyone has a great weekend. Keep moving..

I've been beating myself up for the past 12 hours about my eating habits. I keep thinking that I know exactly what to do and how to do it, but I just keep making mistakes. I'm tired of paying the price.

Tiffany had a great time and her class loved the pizza and cupcakes. We even brought home a whole pie and 4 slices and a dozen cupcakes. Then we had a small little party for her at home. She had cake and more pizza. We got her a bike and Leapfrog Leapster 2 with game.
Sorry I haven't posted the March challenge yet. I will post it tomorrow.Today we were so busy running around and we didn't get back home till 4pm.Then I had to decorate the house and get her birthday party all set up.Then we had dinner and cake. She went out side and rode her bike for a bit. Then we watch a movie with the kids. So I had a busy day..
As for my laptop well I called the warranty and they said to send in my laptop and they see if it can be fix and if not then I get my money back. So husband pick out another laptop for me and it better than the one I have and he got it for 6 payments of 141.66 wasn't that nice of him. I should have my new laptop some time next week.
Well I am tired and going to go relax but wanted to say hi..

Hey Healthy, that's a good plan, however I don't think the tracker irritates me as much as I let on. I am glad that it helps you. This is one of those tools that I hope will make my weight loss experience a permanent one.

Benny- Hope you find a way for the tracker to be useful to you! I actually don't use the tracker on here I use an app on my phone. but I do monitor my weight and measurements on here. I actually had the same problem you did.. :( but when I did use it I would add the food I most commonly ate and it did get easier once they were all entered ;)

Hello Friends,
So happy to read all of the thiings that everyone is accomplishing! And way to go on the Degree! I have 3 college degrees! Still want to keep taking classes so I can counsel part time. But working on getting an apt first. I have to save all I can for that so when I move out that I have the money to pay for everything. All the walking we do around here has made me lose more weight and I like that! I have lost 66 pounds so far! Just have to keep going! I will be riding busses and so tthat will be a lot of walking and getting off too so that will help. Glad everyone is having a great day! Darla

Hi everyone! I will be new for all of you, because I haven't been here for OVER A YEAR! I have spent that time wisely and I am about to finish my degree in Health Care Administration. That is the good news. The bad news is that I haven't been exercising or following an eating plan. Sooo, I have gained back some of the weight I had originally lost. emoticon

I am excited to be back! I hope that I can stay motivated. We have a brand new YMCA. I have been a member and have gone sporadically, The new facility opened today, so I plan to go by there after work and check it out. I will let you know what I see.

I look forward to getting to know each of you!

BENNYTINNY: the tracker helps me a LOT! Sometimes it's intuitive to enter things, sometimes not. It does become a skill like navigating the site. (I really don't like that potato as an entry brings up potato chips as the first option, rather than baked potato. OK, enough of my rant.) What if you work in a small daily reward for learning to be proficient with the tracker? Something non-food of course! Like a few mintues to read a good book? That way you've built in a goal and reward to offset any irritation as you're learning.

This is day 3. I find this is the first place I go to on my laptop. I forgot to weigh today cause the dogs needed out right-this-minute, and when I came downstairs I drank milk. Well, I guess that's not a big deal, cause the scale will be in the same place tomorrow morning. I plan on doing Wii Fit today and scrubbing the baseboards. At least I will get to log in some exercise minutes.

BENNYTINNY: I was finding that until I discovered the little key under the place to put the search, "Items other members have entered," or something like that, and so far I haven't had to add anything else. Just an idea.

Hello all,
I'm having the hardest time with the nutritional tracker. It's because the things that I eat are not on the list and I have to put all of that info in for every thing. Then getting it to register in the right place (breakfast, lunch, dinner) can be a challenge also. I'll keep working at it until I develop some proficiency, but I also know that if it continues to be a challenge my interest will wane.

Hello everyone.

I got up and did my treadmill run this morning. Strength training tomorrow.

Momma, great job on the 11 pounds that is awesome.

Joana glad to have you back.

I am sitting here doing this and watching tv and my eyelids are getting very heavy. Ugh. My eating is going well but I was making a salad for supper and the family was having chicken and french fries so I inhaled about 10 french fries and dipped them in mayo. I am still way with my range of calories for my day but still. Oh well, whats done is done.

Have a great night all.

Here I go...diving in! I think I did fairly well today. I walked on the treadmill while watching BBL on hulu. Great motivation right there. That's my goal for the next week...to continue doing time on the treadmill to work on getting my stamina up so I can handle being dragged by the mighty dogs of this household once again.

Day 2 of the recommitment. So far so good. I did Wii Fit for a bit and did some cleaning. If I can do this each day, who knows? Down 2 pounds from where I started. I think once I get a string of good days together, then I will start to get excited about what I am doing. Until then, I'll just do my best.

Morning
I see we are all doing well. Some of us are in area's were the weather is warmer and it makes it easier to go out to exercise.I have started my web page for the march of dimes. I am looking forward to that walk. This team is getting bigger by the day. It started off with five of us now it is up to 8. I am very happy about that. It has been raining here and it is freezing.
I wish it would warm up already so I could at least walk with out freezing.
I am glad to see that there are tickers moving in the right direction. Tomorrow I will do the weight in and we will see what happens. I keep trying to do some self work out but I really want to go out and do some walking.
Hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning! Today I'm going to get to the gym or take a 3 mile walk with a friend...all depends on the weather we're supposed to get. Cleanse still going well, although I added some nuts and seeds back in to get a little protein. I can see doing this twice a year to clean out the body and reset things. It will be interesting to see how long it takes for old habits to start creeping in. Have a great day everyone! I'm off to spend the morning with my eldest daughter who went off to school this year...beauty parlor day at the beauty school!

I get by with a little help from my friends...

Hey Joann, Welcome back to your journey. Everyone has a small detour from time to time. The great thing is that you found your way back to continue on your path!.. Working in the barn doing chores is sure to be considered exercise!

I have detoured several times from my journey, this time I truly BELIEVE that I am ready to stay on the right path to a healthy lifestyle, at least I hope I am...no I no I am,so good luck and great job taking the first step back!

.I am back, really fell off the wagon, and wasnt here for awhile. I guess my first step is to weigh myself, just to see how bad the damage is. I am going to have to try to get back to exercising tomorrow.

I stopped at the grocery store this evening. Stocked up on some foods that are better for me, such as yogurt and fruit and vegetables. So here is to another attempt, I suppose. Will get back to working out slowly Wish me luck. At least I have still been doing the barn chores. That in and of itself is still pretty strenuous exercise.

Sandy - I honestly love it! I'm actually trying to also watch my calories and for the first time EVER I sometimes have a hard time eating all of my 1500 calories. and if I don't eat them all I don't lose weight. After just 3 days of drinking it I was hooked! my hubby lost 12lbs as of last week. check with your friend or check www.shakeology.com/reneewickman it really is AMAZING. another thing that is really helping me is eating 5 or 6 times a day because I love food so much I don't feel like I have to wait for something.

Hello everyone.

I actually didn`t have chicken tonight. Hubby baked pork chops and there was some fresh mushrooms and a bit of packaged gravy. Very tastey and a nice change from the chicken. I also had some pickled beets and peas. I think I will have some yogurt and watermelon for dessert.

I did strength training today. It was about a half hour workout. When using the treadmill you don`t have to think about things but with strength training I have to think about what I am going to do. I`m sure it will get easier to work out a program as I go.

Have a great night all.

Hi Today I am doing okay. I been doing laundry and cleaning up the house. Last night we had snow about 2 inches but by 10am it was all gone the sun just came out and melted it all away. The sun is shining and we only 46 degrees. This is what I ate today.

Breakfast --- 2eggs scramble, 1/2 cup of left over manwich, coffee and cream
Lunch --- 1 cup of chicken noodle soup with 8oz soda
Snack--- carb smart ice cream bar
Dinner --- BBQ chicken, Cal veggie mix and 16oz glass of water

Renee Was just wondering more about Shakeology like I said before I was given a sample and I have the recipe you gave me gonna try it and see. Does it cost a lot and how does it really work. Congrats on losing 10 lbs way to go..

Lanniemanuel bless your heart. My daughter and I have the same situation and having extra Omega3's helps. Think fish and especially salmon. Also nuts like almonds they help with cravings and helps to balance hormones.

Good Morning! Sassy, it's good to know that the calories go down in stage 2!

I'm more than halfway through my cleanse and feeling great. It is amazing how satisfying fruits and vegetables can be when they are your only choice. I lost another pound for a total of 9. This is doing exactly what I'd hoped by killing my cravings and shedding a few quick pounds. I definitely plan on sticking to whole foods as much as possible when I'm done. Today I'm headed down to the Peabody Essex Museum - can't wait! They have a 200+ yr.old house that was brought over from China completely assembled inside the museum.

I get by with a little help from my friends...

morning everyone looks like everyone had some great success yesterday! That is Great! I weighed in today down 3.8. I think a good way to finish the month. Did my 2.5 mile walk yesterday as well as some strength training. Entered stage 2 yesterday and realized my calories had been dropped. Was not expecting that, but it will work!. Have great day!

Happy Monday everyone.

I was happy to see a 5 pound loss on the scale this morning. I got to move 5 whole stones to my pounds lost glass. That felt good. I was very strict with myself and will do the same this week. I am only having carbs in the morning and then next week I will have carbs for breakie and lunch. That is my plan anyway.

I was just getting some strength training ideas off of pinterest. I know all the exercises but I need to have them written down. I also started my 10k training program this morning. I might run a 10k in June but even if I don't, this will be a great workout.

You guys are doing great.

Happy Monday everyone, hope this finds everyone had a great and sparkling weekend. For me I put in 7 miles of brisk walking. Went to the movies, and stayed away from the movie theatre goodies. Yeah me! Stayed within points went and bought a dress for a visual for myself it is 3 sizes smaller. Hanging on my closet door, hoping to fit in to by my 49th birthday in July really would like to sooner but we will see. Hope everyone has a great day!

Yesterday I started the fruit and veggie portion of my detox/cleanse....down 1 1/2 pounds, and I even ate at least my allotted calories since I tracked it, wanting to see what eating just fruits and veggies came in at. I'm feeling great and it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be to pass on the alcohol. Go me! Happy monday, and I hope everyone meets their goals today.

Hi Well today me and my girls did our nails and makeup and than we all made some peanut butter and raisin cookies. They came out great. I also did 3760 steps and burned 1991 cal. Right now I am playing words with friends. I just love the game you know. Hope everyone is doing good and eating healthy. Talk more tomorrow...

Renee I didn't do the meals for ChaLean Extreme. I am following a low carb plan and that's going okay. Thanks for the info on how to use the Shakeology.

Hello everyone.

I went for a 3mile walk yesterday and it felt grrrrrrreat!

Makes up for today because it has been super lazy. But I enjoyed every minute of it. I ate awesome this weekend and am looking forward to seeing how my weigh in goes tomorrow.

Have a great evening.

Sandy- Did you stick with the "food plan" too. That is the part I'm the most worried about, it seem a bit too healthy for my tastes.. lol I'm going to give it a hearty effort for the 90 days!

Hello Everyone,
Well I am feeling a little better today but still coughing and congested. I did get my pass to work out in the gym so I will give that to my caseworker tomorrow and get started on working out in the gym. I know they have treadmills but not sure what else that they have. So that will relieve some of the stress I feel being here by just working off my frustrations. I have made some friends here and actually met a man here that I really like and will be seeing him more. He has a daughter and son and 8 grandkids and 2 great grandkids! Big family! Well hope everyone has a great day!

Just finished Jillian Michaels yoga meltdown and I am feeling it. It is going to take a little bit to get the motions and flexibility to get into all the poses, but even with some of the alternatives I still felt the workout. I was looking for something to alternate with my walkaway the pounds and I found it. I think I am going to look into relaxing yoga as well.

I was so thankful that when I stepped on the scale this morning, I was down 4 lbs. Not only that but I am no longer in the 290s. I joined SP in November and although I haven't gained, I had only lost 2lbs up til now. Hoping I will never see those numbers again; however, with Hypothyroidism, it's hard to tell, but I will do my best to keep down sizing. I am so excited, I am getting ready to take my dogs for a walk!
