But I said yes to 2nd helping of my wife's meatloaf...then I calculated how much it cost me. I thought that burning 2300 calories on my bike yesterday gave me the right to misbehave today. Now, that's a slippery slope!!! I am going 200 calories under tomorrow!

Went over calories on carbs today due to some workout drinks and energy bar, but I burned 2300 calories on the bike trail according to my HRM. I'm happy and enjoying this challenge.

Just logged in everything I could remember from the last 3 days - I went over calories all three days at my daughter's, by about 100 each day.
If you can imagine the household with a brand new infant, a 2 1/2-yr-old with a constant running nose and cough, mom and dad, myself (the grandmother) and my younger daughter joining us for our 'Christmas' celebration of tofurkey and cheese cake. It was wonderful, but I could not keep track of calories. I did NO's all weekend, so much so that my older daughter actually had to tell my younger one to stop pushing things at me! Talk about roll reversal - it was great! My 25-yr-old is off to Thailand for Christmas, so we exchanged gifts and had other family over and made it our Christmas a little early. So, I'll have a jump on you all getting this extra off, hopefully by Friday!

I know NJJAZZ, I think it is Christmas all being thrown at me, I love it, but it is the most stressful time for me, and I miss my childhood Christmas so much, I guess we all do, anyway, I made the most fantastic cookies, and I do eat one at least daily, so that is helping me, and I do not mind saying no actually, and you are correct, it is not a punishment it is an affirmation on my new life style, (sounds like a bunch of bull huh?) Like I said, I want to maintain through the holidays, and then hit those last couple of pounds, Thank You so much for the Team Cupcake, HO HO HO, I ate it all, I will continue my no's and my yes's to exercise, I like it, I am getting my 10,000 steps daily, and staying within my calorie range, and I will maintain.
No to the second Cookie

Wow ! everyone is doing so well this month. It's been abusy weekend here so haven't been online till now so have 2 days input to do ...if the pages load properly ...I'm still having trouble with the computer and I really don't want to invest in a new one just now.
had morning tea and lunch at church today now i just hope I didn't go over my calories....it's always a sausage and salad over summer @ church...we have a large group of men from Vanuatu working here in the vineyards and orchards so we like to have shared lunch with them...but those jolly sausages are a
pain!
Have got the tree up this afternoon though and it looks lovely all in gold and red decorations. we have it in the living room so can look at it when I'm relaxing in my chair.
Said yes to eggs and rice for tea and no to icecream and had diet jelly strawberries and yoghurt yum!
Snack this afternoon was cheerios cereal, it's filling and you get the crunch as well.
Am trying to sort out what I'll have next sat night when we host the neighbours xmas BBQ. As long as I plan it seems to be much easier.
Am up early and off to the pool before work at 9 so will be another busy day.

Not far behind you Kathy. I've lost 1kg (2.2 lbs), but I think the hardest part of the challenge is yet to come, ie to maintain the loss through the rest of the festive season.

1. NO to an extra chicken drumstick.
2. NO to a snack while watching TV.
3. NO to feeling low, first thing this morning.
1. YES to keep measuring food. It can be so time consuming.

You should be giving yourself a sweet treat almost everyday so that craving is not so strong that you want to eat a half gallon of ice cream or 5 pound choco bar.

Sayng NO is a positive thing........... not a punishment. Pick a day - pig out a little and then move on. and find a reasonable daily treat to give yourself. You're doing so great.............

If I could only eat 5 days per week like i ate today I could really get to my weight goal and stay there.

Low on carbs
Higher on proteins
Low on fats.
At the low end of my calorie range.

and I dont feel hungry at all or deprived.

Had a tree cut down - it was mostly dead so had to come down -------------- and had the tree guy cut the tree into logs I could burn in my stove. I carriedf lots and lots and lots of those logs all afternoon stacking them on the side of the property. Saves alot on the heat bill to have the wood burning. Not sure how many calories I burned but it was alot of work.

I havent run for a few days and hope to get back to it soon. A full day tomorrow decorating the house and its also supposed to rain so I probably wont get to run tomorrow. Will try .

Im holding 133 ------- which means I can still get to my goal of 130 by year end. I have a fancy party to go to next Fri ------ wearing my little black dress.
Thats incentive...............

everyone is doing so darn well

Wendy-The lettuce wraps sound yummy. What goes in one? I wouldn't mind trying to make something like that at home.

Well Good Morning Everyone! It looks like we are all doing things to make ourselves healthier. I did weigh in yesterday and had lost 1/2 a pound. Not too much but in the 2 weeks working with SparkPeople the total is 4 1/2. emoticon

I will take it. The Challenge is helping: No again to bread at work; A Big No to cake last night; and No No No to eating without thinking about it first. Have a great weekend during this busy season.
Stay warm.

2. Bread with cheese and olive oil at an Italian resturant.

Yes to grilled calamari as an appetizer and grilled tilapia for an entree. It was so good.
Yes to 2 glasses of wine. It was time to celebrate the end of a long hard week.

Yes to staying within calorie range. emoticon

3. NO to opening a packet of maltesers.
1. YES to getting my ironing up to date. Ironing just has to be the worst household chore.
