Stick with what works. Seems like you have to stay creative though!

I agree with Brenda. Sometimes you have to change something in what you are eating. Lower the calories for fats and increase the carbs, definitely watch the sugar in everything maybe up the grams of protein. Good luck and do keep tracking.

emoticon Closely check your portions, eat more fruits and veggies and fiber and you will succeed. Get out and walk more. It all takes effort but you can do this.

I reach that same dilemna. If we eat less than we use, we should be able to lose weight. I struggle with this often. Things I attend to when this happens; lower my generous calorie levels set, exercise more, or keep more accurate and truer food tracking. This is all difficult, but should help in the long run.

I'm working out and tracking everything. Fine. But I keep eating just over my daily calorie range. Not Fine! Well, it works to maintain but not to lose any weight. Why am I giving the effort to track if I won't give the effort to stay within my goal range?

I am off and on but will not give up even when more off than on.

All things are possible if you only believe, even losing 15 pounds

If you are talking yourself out of your workout, maybe you are bored with it. Find something new to do. Or go and do "just 10 minutes". When I do that it is rarely, almost never only 10 minutes. Once I went out for "just 10 minutes" and got home two hours later.

Start by doing what is necessary, then do what is possible and suddenly you will be doing the impossible -- St Francis of Assisi

I think it helps to know that every one struggles. You are not alone! When you find that you are talking yourself out of a healthier choice, stop yourself and tell yourself emoticon .
Just say to yourself "I only need to do 5 minutes of exercise" or "I only need to not eat this snack for the next five minutes". Sometimes we have to take it one hour at a time or one minute at a time. Try it. Try doing a very small step toward the healthier choice. The small successes often lead to larger ones and they push down that monster that says "I can't". emoticon

I have never met anyone who hasn't struggled with at least one aspect of making a lifestyle change. If I spent the amount of time exercising as I do on SP I'd be thin as a rail ! Lol
We all know what we need and should be doing yet, for some reason we keep searching for someone else to present an idea or suggestion that will make our goal(s) easier or faster. The bottom line about making a lifestyle change boils down to just one thing...US. Our choices are what makes or breaks whether we are successful or not.

I have gone through cycles of being able to do okay and then feeling totally unable to motivate myself. Even a small step every day towards your goal takes you further along the path.
Reading the success stories really motivates me. I look at what others have achieved and tell myself if they can, then what is stopping me from making some kind of forward movement.
On days when you feel totally unable, know that doing even a small thing will help.
