Cassie - It's always harder to spend time online for those of us who have busy lives. Sounds like you have a great day planned. Enjoy yourself.

I haven't been posting much lately, but I really need to change that. I've noticed a direct correlation between my activity on the message boards and the number on the scale. So this week I am going to spend a little more time on the message boards. Today I am also going to be outside doing yard work until it gets too warm. Then I will come inside and paint my kitchen. Here's to a fantastic week!

This week I am going to try something new and actually write out a menu before I go to the grocery store. What a crazy idea! My aunt has been telling me to do this for years, but for some reason I never do it.

I'm also going to try to wean my husband off of junk food. He knows that I am trying to eat better. He also made a comment to me that our son is looking a little more than chubby lately, but he insists on having his potato chips and Twinkies in the house. I know I can have the will power to turn it down (most of the time), but it's not fair to have an almost 7 year old see the junk food in the cupboard and see his dad eating it then tell him that he can't have it. I think this week when I go grocery shopping I'm not even going to ask if anyone else wants anything. If he wants the junk food he can go to the store himself, and my husband loathes the grocery store.

After a weekend with too much Halloween candy hanging around I dug my pedometer out of my sock drawer. Since I work at a desk I usually have a really hard time getting enough steps in throughout the day.

My start the week off right went totally wrong. Did the 3.7 mile Denver "mini" marathon and though my ankle was just sore, I ended up with a severe foot strain, so I'm back in my boot and on crutches. Oh well.

Here's to starting another week right. I am participating in the 30 Day Skinny Jean Challenge. Today is day 5 so I did the two pilates moves the hundred and the double leg stretch. Talk about working your abs! I followed that with 18 minutes on the elliptical. Happy Monday everybody. Have a great week!

Welcome back CMNOVAK. I think the summer months are very good at pulling us away from using SP, which can be a good thing if it's because we are more active. Weight training is a great workout and one that I need to get back to. Have fun with it and as MARYJOHANNA said, alternate body parts to keep those ol' muscles guessing what's next.

Hi Thornton Sparkers! What are you doing to start the week right?

This week I've renewed my commitment to SP. I've been a little busy and haven't been logging on and tracking as often as I should. I even managed to maintain my weight during my 4 weeks of my 6 week hiatus, but after gaining 5 pounds I realized just how important accountability is for me. SP is the best way for me to be held accountable.

The other thing I'm doing to start my week right... I'm focusing on strength training. So far I've completed 2 days of strength training.
