Hi there,
thanks for posting and for supporting each other!
I, too, have been kind of "off" lately... need to get back in the groove and I know all the positive benefits in addition to making the extra few lbs I've likely gained go away!!

I have to keep reminding myself to take one step at a time and try to do what I can! Sometimes it's tough...

Keep up the great work @JILLYMAUI!

I have fallen quite a bit, especially as of late. I need to buckle down again. That being said, I just signed up for the 5K run at the end of January for Epilepsy, and the GAR in February.

Thanks HELE_LANAKILA and MOEMOORE, for posting about your plans for fall success!
Excellent plans and suggetions and I will also take a page from your books and add "put myself first'! It can be hard, but soooooo important to set our priorities so we can be there for the long run.
Good tip about zennioptical, too.
Thanks!
You two will get a special goodie for immediately!!

I so hear you on putting ourselves first HELE_LANAKILA!

And don't I know it - I get dressed in the dark too. And heaven help me if I drop my glasses - I am most likely to do that in my rush to turn off my alarm clock, in which I have no idea where I may have flung them too. Then I don't want to get out of the bed until I find them, in fear I'll step on them!

Wanted to tell you that I have had a very positive experience with zennioptical online for purchasing glasses. I spent a fortune last year at Lenscrafters, and not 3 months later they were broken and they couldn't/wouldn't fix the. I've purchased 2 pair through zennioptical (the first pair I didn't get anti-glare coating - big mistake!), each for under $50. Not sure if you were going to get yours online or not, but thought I would point this out for you, and anyone else who's been putting off glasses.

Here's to putting ourselves first!

Getting back into logging my food is definetly on my list. But this morning, something else hit me.

I need to get back to putting myself first. I've slipped back into that old rut of doing everything for everyone else and leaving myself in the dust.

Yesterday, both of my lenses fell out of my aging glasses. Now, mind you, I have vision insurance, but it's still going to cost $45 dollars to get a new pair. That's not much, I know, but I've been handing out money (and time) left and right to everyone else and forgetting about me. It frustrated me quite a bit, but this morning was even worse. I had just finished my shower and was walking back into the dark bedroom, (don't wanna wake anyone up!) and both lenses fell out again! In a dark room! Okay, it's funny right now, but this morning, I was crying. I had to get to work, after all.

So, after waking up my sweet husband, we managed to find both lenses. And I made a decision to go ahead and get new ones on my next paycheck. Me first, this time, even before the bills, before the three kids in college, before the grandbabies. Okay, maybe not before the grandbabies. They're so dang cute!

But I do need to remember that if I don't put myself first, I won't be here to help out at all. So, my time for exercise first, the food I need to eat needs to be bought, the time I need to de-stress needs to be found.

Yep. That's my plan for success. Take care of me, so that I can take care of the rest of my family.

Man, I ramble. *G*

With a car again, my goal is to make it to as many of my instructors Zumba classes as I can. Each month I print out my work schedule and notate what days I can make it to class. And then I go!

Another big thing for me to do between now and Thanksgiving is to get my house in order. My MIL will be coming to visit in December, and there is just way too much clutter in my house. I really do feel that I will feel more motivated to do all sorts of things if I can just get the house de-cluttered.

Let's go Hawaii Sparkers!

I need to get back to tracking my food... no matter how busy I am. Also, get back to exercising for my goal miuntes every week, no matter what!
To help me, I re-joined the tennis "fun" league, as it will push me to get out there and practice.

What are you doing to stay on track or meet a new (or re-visited) goal for FALL 2012?
Let's share ideas and encourage each other!
