Discovered Borax for cleaning moving into new house, great for woodwork, tiles and even muck off walls.... dry powder on a damp cloth, sure it killed all the germs too emoticon

Hospitals are terrific for traumatic care; for acute care. They do a really, really good job in saving lives when it's a sudden bleeding emergency. But in terms of chronic care, they're terrible; (that is) in terms of the illnesses that most people have, endure, that cost the most money, that last the longest and ultimately die from. -Dr. Andrew Saul

Thanks folks!
I have borax for my laundry, don't know why I didn't think to use it for scrubbing.

I'm going to purchase a huge container of vinegar.

Vinegar & baking soda for sure and Borax for heavy cleaning, of course there's the essential oils too - tea tree, peppermint, lavender even citronella and eucalyptus are great.

White distilled vinegar for just about EVERYTHING! Mixed with baking soda it makes my toilet bowl sparkle. Sprinkle some baking soda into bowl, spray or pour some vinegar on top of that, let it sit for a minute and swish with brush. Awesome!

It's cheap and no toxic junk in my house.
It smells like a salad when I'm done cleaning. And then, as soon as it is dry the vinegar smell vanishes.

Moving into a new place shortly and during the walkthru I noticed that my cleaning standards were higher than the owners. I will be doing massive cleaning when I move in.

Do you have a favorite general purpose cleaner or combinations of natural items for cleaning?
