Did my ten minute physical therapy exercise routine this morning, add to that about half a mile of walking. I also went to the dentist, so that deserves Kudos, because it is not my favorite thing to do.

I already did my 10 minute stretch. I have physical therapy today. I hope it can stretch the pain out of my sciatic nerve today. I need sleep. Hope to get some more before I really have to get up.

After 2 weeks of excuses I went upstairs and popped in Coach Nicole's Cardio Blast and got moving. Then after Walk it out and the 80's workout plus two sets of warm ups and cool downs I went for a brisk walk around the block. This rounded out my exercise for the evening and gave me a 30 minute cardio session. Made me feel good and empowered emoticon

It is a workout but a fun one. Didn't make it to ZumbaTone though. Had to pick up my hubby from the hospital; he had a kidney stone blasted today. I was a good girl though and got on my exercise bike and did that for 25 minutes while watching Biggest Loser. Towards the end I kept thinking of a saying I saw on our daily blog about motivational quotes; "You are stronger than you think you are!" That gave me the little extra umph I needed to finish. Your right about the warm weather. Can't come soon enough. Dying to get outside and go on hikes and walks again. Thanks for the pick me up emoticon

Hi,
I watched a few videos on you tube on zumba...wow.... I see that can be quite a workout! That should kick you into high gear.
I think if we ever get more sunshine that will turn around your motivation as well. The sun can just puts a smile on your face when outside enjoying it. I'm looking forward to some nicer weather to start my walks again.
I don't have any allergies, but to me, what you mentioned sounds like some symptoms. Hope you feel better soon.

Well I didn't do my rookie run last night.I can feel my motivation wavering. Don't know if I have allergies or the beginning of the change of season cold but my head is congested and my eyes are itching and dry. I am dragging and can't seem to get motivated to do my daily exercise. Hopefully after ZumbaTone tonight I will get my motivation back.

I checked out the web site on the plates. I have not seen them before. What a neat idea. Do you like them?

This weather has been crazy.. another 4-8 inches coming on friday... ugg.. enough already!! I pretty much stay at home when the weather is bad and have found myself housebound more often than I want these past few weeks. But what i did do is post my goals everywhere throughout the house where I will see them during the day. This has helped me keep on track, I actually feel guilty if I miss doing one of my daily goals.. Seems like when its in my face I tend to not slack off...

Good to hear that you have been staying on track with your eating...and Congradulation on the terrific weigh loss!

So frustrated with this weather emoticon My zumba tone class was postponed.I blew off doing anything yesterday and again today I was distracted so got no exercise in.On a good note though I am keeping my eating on track.Try again tomorrow.

I have been doing good so far this year.I have lost about 2 lbs per week which is my weekly goal.Been keeping to an exercise schedule and using my new fashionable portion control plates that I got for Christmas. www.slimware.com I have the lily pad ones. I am also trying to get in 32 oz of water daily.
Hope everyone is doing good and going strong.

I hope everyone had a guilt free enjoyable day.I tried to stick to the if you are going to indulge then just try one of everything you want rather than piling high.Did pretty good.It is hard for me to get on the computer after working all day and then I have exercise classes then I have to get dinner and get the kids situated.By the time I get time for myself it is 9:30-10pm and by that time I am not into getting on the computer so I grab a shower and crawl in bed.But I am always thinking about everyone on here and hope things are going well.

I've also been sidelined by packing, moving and closing up our CT yard. We are now in FL for the next 6 months. I need to start walking, going to the gym and tracking my calories again!

I can't seem to get back on schedule.I am having trouble juggling all the balls.Long story short.I lost my morning me time due to the fact that my kids are both on the early bus this year.They catch the bus an hour apart so the half hour I had all to me before having to get the second one off is gone.My spouse is working 2nd so when I get home from work my kids are waitng for dinner and the 2 yr old wants all my attention. By the time dinner, bath, and bed are done it is 9-9:30pm. Where did the time go?! Now I am too exhausted to go online or workout (5:30am comes awfully fast).Please bear with me? I have not forgot about you, my teammates,I am here.

You're going in the right direction, even without tracking your food! You probably are, sub consciously, tracking. What ever it takes, it's working for you!

I would have had a good day yesterday BUT (there's always a but) I was sick Tuesday night, so I was trying to eat bland foods yesterday. I ate 10 Ritz crackers first and then looked up the calories, after I ate them. I didn't know each one was 80 cals! That's 800 calories! Lessons learned, check the "price tag" BEFORE you make the "purchase"!

Hope you had a better day yesterday CT-Snowbird. Sometimes those things come up that deviate us from our path but to get right back on is the best way to go.
I still have been bad about journaling my food but have been measuring my portions and trying not to indulge in mindless snacking.I feel like my clothes are looser and people have commented on how great I look but the scale doesn't seem to be moving.I have a goal dress already picked out and told my girlfriends once I fit it "We are going out!"

Today was the WORST day calorically that I've had in a long time. While I was at the hospital waiting for Melvin to have his biopsy, I was SUPPOSE to have a can of Slim Fast but I fogot it in the car and it was raining heavily so instead I had 2 Poptarts from the vending machine (400+ cals) Then I took him to McDs for takeout cheeseburger, which I have never had before (300+) followed by 3 chocolate chip cookies (500) because I "forgot" I had the Poptarts. I also had all the food I normally eat. The bottom line is 2950 calories!

Tomorrow is a whole new day. It better be!

Been trying to be good with the eating.Keeping portions under control.Journaling is okay but logging into to the computer is daunting.Wish there was a way to just speak it and it appear on the log rather than enter one by one.Did have a customer ask if I have been losing weight and tell me I look good and it is noticable.That felt good.Zumba tone tonight;YaY.

I'm doing pretty good but still have a MAJOR problem with Peanut Butter. For the last 3 days I've had 400 calories worth(each day)! That's 1/4 of my calories for one food item. I crave the darn stuff. If I lived alone, I wouldn't have it in my house!

Had a nice weekend.Went to the pumpkin festival yesterday and then Fort Hill for the corn maze and ice cream today. Tried to stay mindful of everything I was eating and stay within my portions.Wasn't able to get on the computer all weekend because I was outside with the kids. I love Fall!

I have been bad myself with not tracking my food, but I did start again today. I would say walking around the Big E is a good exercise but you had extra with pushing your brother around. Hope you had fun and good weather.

I didn't exercise or track my calories since the 19th, but today I'm back on track. I shouldn't say I didn't exercise. I forgot that I walked all over The Big E, pushing my 200 lb brother, in a wheel chair for about 3 hours, yesterday. How do I "track" that?!

Yesterday I had 1900 calories and a hard lower body workout at the gym, but no cardio.

Today, I walked 65 minutes and worked in the garden for about an hour. The jury is still out on my calories for the day.

Sounds like my weekend. Poutine and cheesecake on Saturday. Sunday we had a picnic at our church after service. I had to try many of the dishes that people brought. Needless to say I ate alot of sides and desserts. So I got back on track Monday; until dinner. Then I didn't measure the steak I had. Just eyeballed it. Had fries too that I didn't measure. Then came the cookies and ice cream emoticon It is that time of the month for me and I feel like I am battling a beast. I am so ravenous around this time. But I will try and be good again today because I really want this healthier lifestyle. One good thing is I have zumba tone tonight emoticon . Good luck to everyone with the choices you face today. I've been bad since Friday night:

Friday - 3 Mcds chocolate chip cookies = 600 calories

Saturday-DD Coffee Coolatta/Hazelnut shot = 400 cals

Sunday - family picnic that involved 1 hotdog, 1 cheeseburger, mac salad, other salads and 2 different kinds of cake

And no exercise since Friday night, except walking around at the Ledyard Fair.

Did good yesterday until after dinner but then went down hill from there with sugar wafers and ice cream. Today already down hill started off with a piece of apricot orange cheesecake my husband wanted me to try that he brought home yesterday.Later going to the French Canadian festival and going to try some poutine which I hear is delicious but very fattening. I am canadian and excited to check out some of my heritage and share it with my kids. Would love to eventually learn the language. Atleast I will get some walking in when we are there.

I had a better day with my intake - 1700, instead of the 2200 I had yesterday.

I walked for 1 hour, carrying 1.5 dumbbells, to increase my heart rate a little.

My DH and I started to go to the gym at the subbase tonight. I found out that they have Zumba 3xs a week from 6-7. If I didn't have to go grocery shopping tonight I would have gone to the class. Maybe next time.

Didn't do as well today as yesterday but I did log everything I ate(even the bite of a twizzler and the package of ringdings).Will try to make better choices tomorrow. emoticon
No exercise today because I am sore from zumba tone last night.I have zumba after work tomorrow,can't wait. emoticon
Had to be to work early this morning so couldn't post a motivation for the day. Will post one for tomorrow in the am.

Thanks for the tip about the water.I thought I had drank enough but you know how school gyms are...hot as hades! Then exercising on top of that.I don't do well in heat. What I love about zumba is you can modify it to your fitness level.Doesn't matter as long as your moving.We have such a variety of ages in the class..I would say probably from 20s to 60s. I am going to try and be better with my logging and keep it up more consistently.

Thankfully, that's one good habit I have. That is I track everything I eat. I've been doing that for years, in little notebooks. The good news is that I do it. The bad news is today I had 2200 calories.

I did do a good job on my cardio by walking 62 minutes with 1.5 weights in each hand. Then I mowed the lawn and moved dirt around for a total of 1.5 hours.

I'm going to try Zumba when I move back to FL for the winter. I love dancing so I should like Zumba, if I modify it for my fitness level. You might have been a little dehydrated in the class today. Try getting a big drink just before the next class starts and see if you feel better next time.

Today I am proud of myself.I wrote down everything I ate(which I can never keep constant;I was never a diary type girl so journaling is a challenge for me). I kept within my daily goal range for cals but need more potassium and magnesium. Went over on the sodium but I never add extra salt to anything and try to buy low sodium or no salt added.Went to my zumba tone class and busted my butt emoticon didn't think I was going to make it thru started to feel nauseous and dizzy but slowed my pace so I didn't overdue it.Felt that great body tingle after a good workout so I am happy.All in all it was a good day and I am very proud of myself. emoticon

I had another "bad" day. I'm going to blame it on my special bro. His birthday was today. We had one party last night that involved pumpkin bread. Today I had another piece of the leftover P.bread and tonight I had birthday cake. It was the reduced sugar Pillsbury.

The weekends are always a problem for me. I tend to snack too much. During the week I have a schedule to keep me on task. Thank goodness I go back to work tomorrow! Plus I can't wait to start my fall session of zumba this week. These past two weeks off have been bad emoticon I have unexpended energy or just too tired to do anything so I eat. Deborah, You're so crafty, making a guitar case? Hems and buttons give me trouble!

I used to have terrible neck/shoulder pain but I've been doing pretty good, lately. That all changed when we were getting ready for Earl and I had to help my DH take down our Sunsetter awning. It took us almost an hour to clean it and roll it up, most of that time I had my arms up over my head, holding up my end of the d#$% thing. Now I can't shake the pain.

I did fairly well eating wise. My pain level has been high, so that is not so good. I did get to be creative in my studio and finished creating a guitar case for my son's acoustic guitar out of his old blue jeans. I will be posting pictures in a blog later tonight.

Not a good day, with the calories. Everything was fine until I had pumpkin bread and ice cream at a birthday party tonight. Oh well, tomorrow is a new day!
