Enjoy your long weekend and hope the weather is great. In the 50s here and sky is blue and clear. I love the cool weather, not a fan of hot and humid or AC.
The Harvest Moon Festival is in the park this weekend. We take turns watching the puppies so all of us can go. I love the fried bread at these events. Wish I could eat more as there is lots to pick from. We have the Blueberry Fest in the summer but it is usually too hot and too crowded. Our town is small and hundreds of people come. They park way down past our house. Everybody is usually worn out from one walk thru. Harvest Moon is much nicer. Have a great day and weekend. emoticon

Wrist is better but had a boring day as am usually busy with the dogs and apples. No fun trying to use the left hand, feel like a fish out of water!
Sounds like you had a good party when garbage is over flowing.
Heard from Penny in Az.. Their AC died just after they got there and the dishwasher had been leaking. they got the AC going. High was 90 there, they can have it, had enuff here but it doesn't get humid there like it does here.
Cousin and wife made it to Ely from Wyoming last nite so wanted to come over so we were up late, Robin had to work as a favor, so we are both looking for an early nite tonite.
have a great weekend!! emoticon

Smart mom thinking ahead as that is what usually happens with kids. Not me, we ended up with a stray, one of the smartest dogs I ever had. Have a picture of him kneeling next to me by the bed saying my prayers.
36 degrees this morning but no frost. I have a lunch date today at 1 and I have a sore wrist. I did too much clipping tall grass by hand but bet I can still get food to my mouth! emoticon Maybe need to ice it and take a pain pill, it is a little better today. I want to walk Brandy yet, she usually does not pull unless she sees somebody or a dog close, loves people and dogs and usually will sit and stay. It is still in the 40s so I am in no hurry. I love fall but did it have to start this cold?? May be time to bring the little heaters up for here ad the kitchen, have a bigger one for the living room. Supposed to be in the 60s but never can depend on a forecast to be right.
I have 1.5 pounds left to goal but will need a new goal and I have no clue. Never realized I was that fat!! 20 pounds gone mostly by walking.
Have a great sunny day! emoticon

Gwyn, Hope you are all healed now. 36 here this morning! Apples still coming.
I love all animals but my parents wouldn't let me have a horse while living in a rented cold water upstairs apartment. I did get to have a dog. I always wanted to live where I could have different animals but that never happened.
Puppies and dogs are napping so i can catch up on here. Have a good day emoticon

Raining and cold, not a good day to be inside with 2 dogs and 2 puppies but everybody is napping a lot and trips outside are quick. We need the rain so have to live with it. No walk with Brandy, no sweeping and dumping apples to get exercise emoticon

Walked with Brandy in the morning, always a good part of our day. We have the puppies now for the week while everyone works. I retired to care for my husband til he passed. My daughter will be off on Thurs. and Friday so she can help but then have the 4 year old over nite Wed. nite but Robin, oldest daughter lives with me, said I should go to lunch with a friend anyway so I will. We will start walking the puppies taking turns. Really hard to make appts. with our schedule. I need to walk uptown and see what is new if anything. she and I have been putting band aids on each other from puppies teeth trying to teach them to stay down, that seems to be a hurdle we have to work harder at.
Over 6000 steps today. They set 8000 for me on Fitbit but my Achilles tendons won't take that, swelled up so I stay with 6000.
Thanks for putting up with me popping in here. I enjoyed it need to visit more when puppies nap. Have a great week!! emoticon

glad to hear you are almost to goal. I have been exercising for about 20 years at local gym. We got our wonderful little 12 pound rat terrier about 3 years ago --- so I walk him daily. I gote at least 25 minutes of exercise a day -- I need to get more. but I have to watch wat I eat more than I exercise

Good morning! kind of a gloomy morning and in the 50s but Brandy and I will take our walk. T storms are forecast but so far we get very little water from them and everything here has dried up.
I was happy to see I have lost 20 pounds. Been a long road since starting in March but sure is a nice to see I have one pound to get to goal. Problem is, I do have more to lose so have no idea what my goal should be. Anyway, sure makes me happy. Most of what I do is walk. We decided to get a puppy and so did my granddaughter so one is mine and my daughters and one is my granddaughters and her other half. When they were small they were a lot of work and steps. Now they are bigger it is in and out all day til they nap. We/I take care of them during the week when everybody works and they take them over the weekend. They are so much fun but I tell everyone if you want to lose weight get 2 puppies!

they do have a website --- weightandwellness.com. went to it and looked around--it looks like they help lose weight by using food rather than shakes etc. have a lot of recipes on the website

I am not familiar with these programs. Wish I could help. I you find out anything, please share here for others. Do they have a web site to check them out?

Slow & steady makes a winner of us. Even if we hit pitfalls, get up. Know that a new day is right around the corner.

As anyone tried these classes for weight loss? Do you think it's similar to Medifast without the requirements of buying prepackaged food.
