Thank you - I completely agree with your review of Where the Crawdads Sing. I am almost finished with reading it. It does pull one along, but as you said, is completely unrealistic! And it's predictable - I'm sure I know how it will end... emoticon

Where the Crawdads Sign by Delia Owens ***

My sister gave me this book so I jumped on the bandwagon. Parts are beautifully written, and the author clearly loves the natural world. Not all of the narrative holds together, however. Still, if you want to learn more about marsh lands and would enjoy doing so in a somewhat unrealistic love story, you'll enjoy reading this!

The Night Window by Dean Koontz - this is the 5th and final book in the Jane Hawk series, which was fascinating and enjoyable. There is a lot of edge-of-your-seat suspense, and enough humour to keep it fun. I loved the ending which was very fitting.

"All In" by John Hill 4 stars

This is an interesting memoir of a modern-day Colorado doctor, who combines firm belief in God with extreme sports and a challenging family life. He finds hope in the many twists and turns on which his daughters, career, and time in the mountains lead him. If you are a Christian, mountain biker, rock climber, or sports-medicine professional, you will find this book fascinating.

The Great Believers - Rebecca Makkai 4*

Two story lines, both revolving around the arising of the AIDS crisis in the 80s. One takes place then, and follows a young gay man; the other takes place in 2015 and involves the sister of one of the young men who died; she is also the very close friend of the guy in the other part of the book. The chapters go back and forth between then and now. The woman in 2015 is also seeking her estranged daughter in Paris.
Fascinating, sad, and beautiful, all at the same time.

Where are you now? - Mary Higgins Clark 4 stars

I really enjoyed this story of a missing 21-year-old and a son missing for over 10 years. I did not figure out all the pieces till the very end of the story.
