Well Gang - I'm back. I stated my goals here 2 Fridays ago, but didn't track as I knew I'd be gone for most of the week. Headed to Cub Scout camp with my DS (age 8) from Sun to Tue, then headed to Okl. to help my DM out with some stuff with the whole family (including the dog) from Wed thru Sun. So I WI this a.m. and will continue to work on my f/v's and H2O this week through Thursday. Let me know what is decided for this next week coming up! :) LYNNIE - I'm glad that you're doing better. KAREN - Hope that your party went great! Sorry to not "see" you on-line anymore. Hope life is going well for you and you're not way overdoing life like you do with regular work, work-outs, and then more work!!! LOL Have a great rest of the week everyone! emoticon

Mary, that's okay, we do have a lot of things going on on here and in our home lives right now.I didn't do very good tracking my week either although I was mindful of all the actions I needed to do and just tried to stay on the right path.
I am content focusing on the basics that I need right now. I think if you just state what you would like to set for your own goals this week and then on the challenge log you can either log it daily or for the week whatever is easier for you.
I am going to hp over to the daily chat....

I completely forgot about the frisky challenge this week.......:( :( as you all can probably see by my lack of tracking on the other thread! Whoops sorry! I was concentrating so hard on getting back on track with SP and the basics that I just focused on that. Sorry!

Okay, I have to say that i like the idea of each of us setting our own challenge goals this week. It looks like Lynnie and carol may have already begun! I guess if we all want to do that then that is what we should do this week? How should we track that though? Hmmmmmm.........

Silly me. When we started the other tracking thread I forgot about checking this one.

I know the challenge was quite demanding for this group but it was the same one I was running as a Week 8 challenge on BL10 so it made it easier for those of us doing both to do the same one.

We have 3 weeks left of BL10 and I already have an idea for that team. (fair warning Mossies)

Since I'm already the queen of challenges and goal setting, if you want me to, I would be happy to take charge. emoticon Think about it .... emoticon I can get pretty intense. LOL

I can start right away or I can start when BL10 ends. Actually what i have in mind for BL10 will lend itself to this thread too.

There's the pitch. Balls in your court now. Let me know if you wanto to play.

Hi Carol!!
It is getting better!! It was a hormonal imbalance and a little extra stuff for good measure! I am okay and I don't think I would classify as an emotional eater so I'm good with that.
As for the 2 lbs it could even be fluid retention and you will find the scale is better in the next few days...happens to me all the time!!(especially on WI day!!!) Onto a new week and meeting our daily goals, one day at a time. I just started using a Leslie Sansone dvd that I have had for a while and it's strength trng on the ball and I like it!! Off to do that next! Thanks Carol!!! emoticon Drink up!!

Awesome Lynnie!!! Despite having a "bad" week emotionally you had a terrific week with the WL. Way to GO!!!! I'm not sure what's happening with you on the homefront but sure hope it gets better sooner rather than later. :) I like your idea of just doing what we need to for our own challenge this week. Mine will be the 8 cups H2O and 5 f/g's daily. They are both a struggle for me. I was up this week by 2 pounds but I'm still happy with that since I had lost 4.8 pounds the previous 4 days before this challenge started.

I sure hope that everyone has a terrific weekend staying on track. Carol

Carol, Good for you on doing your best!! I think the more we try and strive for our best old bad habits begin to be replaced by better ones.
Tonight I am proud to say I didn't have any binging going on and instead for my dessert I had a cup of yogurt with grapes, strawberries and a crushed kashi bar. All with good intention and it hit the spot! It's about making the better choices! emoticon I'll drink to that!! Goodnight!

Hi Carol!
I think we were just kind of winging this challenge and hoping that more people would get involved since no one person was going to manage it.
I propose for the new week starting tomorrow that we set our own challenge and try to meet it since we are all on different levels. I know I feel like I have had success if I can get all my fruits and veggies in for the day along with my water, 30 min of ex at least 6 days out of 7 and no mindless munching in the evening! That would be my perfect day!! (and of course being w/in my cal range!)Do you think that's a good idea??
I have done terrible keeping track of everything this week and even posting and I apologize for my lack of support. I will try my best to do better. I have had an emotional week and had a hard time finding the words to say at times. I have felt far from frisky but my new healthy ways seem to come easier some weeks than others and I am psyched for this week because Ii am going to say goodbye to the 180's...I'm movin on down to the skinny side! And, I'm bringing Kim along with me, the 180's have held us hostage for much too long. Kim, lets dodge this place!!
So...if someone has a better idea for the week shout it out!! If not let's proclaim our intentions for ourselves and MAKE IT HAPPEN!
Sleep well!! Oh, you probably all are already!! Lissa?? you have a few hours on us!!

Well, I didn't make it for all 7 seven days for any one of the 7 challenges that Tammy included, but I "did my best" for the week anyway. Hope everyone else was able to continue to work hard to get in as many of the challenges for the week as possible! :)

Lynnie? Tammy? Are we supposed to start again with a new set of challenges starting tomorrow or are we doing the same 7 ones again this week? Carol

WOW Karen, with all that going on (your even more than usual busy self) you're still fitting in exercise too...I would say that is VERY motivating indeed!!! Hey gals!
I HAVE gone MIA....can't help it emoticon ! I'm still very much on track---I won't allow myself to become derailed, but....I have been TOO overwhelmingly busy with SOOoooooooo much work around the homefront in preparation for our big party on Saturday. I have been reading the posts, both here & on BL, but have not had the time with my slow dial-up to post very often. So therefor, I will not be able to post my progress for this challenge emoticon Thanks to Carol for explaining about the emoticons; I'll keep that in mind for future reference. I AM still trying to work in most parts of the challenge, well, ALL except the motivating part. Guess I've probably not been doing a good job there anyway. I've got a few days of work this week & to finish with the yardwork, housework, and cooking of food, grocery shopping, a few more decorations to get, and I'm painting chairs & cleaning up the barns. Oh, and ordering stuff like porta-potty, tables & chairs, etc.... I take breaks to get some exercise in & to read what all of you guys are up to. So, I may not be around much, but I'm not gone for good!

Hope everyone has a great week, and hopefully I can pop in again soon.

Karen - I too couldn't put the "Met Goal" emoticon in to my template. What I did to get it to work was when I transferred the original template over to the other thread I included the emoticons that Tammy had put at the end. I copied and pasted one of those into my first "Goal Met" space that I needed one. My computer wouldn't let me copy just the bit I needed but kept adding a little extra from one of the other emoticons, so after I pasted the emoticon in, I had to delete the extra bit. No problem. Then I copied and pasted that "correct" one into the other areas that I needed "him" to go into! :) Hope that helps you.

Lynnie started a new thread called 6/09 Challenge that is just for tracking purposes. We can continue to chat about the challenge over here. Newbies, I just went down this thread and found the original template Tammy set up for us (Thanks Tammy!) and copied it and posted it over on the tracking challenge thread!

PPS My SW = 198 and this week's weight loss goal is 2 lbs. and I am going to try the whole kit-n- kaboodle with ST modifications!

Karen,

I asked the same question but it makes no difference to me. What I've been doing thus far is just editing my originals posts. Everytime someone joins us, I go back to my original post and edit their info in to the appropriate spot. Since no one seemed to have an opinion when I threw the question out there, I figured this would be easy enough to do and so far, so good. If you think we need a specific thread for it, just say the word and I'd be happy to set it up. If you think it's just as easy to edit our own posts here, thus keeping the thread simpler and making it easy to use the ever popular emoticon (which I, too, enjoy using!) I'm fine with that too and it's working for me so far. Not only am I frisky, but I'm flexible too! emoticon

So great to see everyone participating in the challenge! And, thanks Tammy for setting up the template for tracking! It always helps to have an easy way to track.
One question...do you think we need another thread just for tracking, as it may be hard to go back & find our tracking post to edit? The puter doesn't seem to like to copy the emoticons, but I really like to put that "goal met" there! I can "edit", but not copy the template with the emoticons.....

Good morning Frisky Ladies! To keep things simple, you don't have to copy/paste/edit the entire first post. Just enter your own post stating your starting weight, your WL goal for this week, and which parts of the challenge you are striving to achieve. Or if you're planning on shooting for the whole kit-n-kaboodle, share your excitement and enthusiasm by saying, "I'm Feeling Frisky!" I'll take everyone's info and edit it into the first post so it's easy to find.

As for me:

It sure sounds like you're very frisky. I'm personally going to try to do at least 3 of the items you have listed. Personally I know that I won't be able to take on so many of these all at once since I'm starting over again and life is extreme (when isn't it?) at the moment. Thanks for getting us jump-started. My vote is for Friday WI since some of us already do a Wednesday WI with BL10. I think it will encourage us not to slack off after WI on Wednesday.

So I take it we are aiming for a start date of this Monday? I'm up for that. Since the challenges are weekly, new peeps can join at any time and not be too far behind. No sense in us putting it off while waiting for more to join. Let's get ready to roll!

Hi Everyone!
Just wondering who would be interested in hopping on board for a new challenge to help to inspire and motivate us to do better. I really like the idea of making it weekly challenges inspired by each one of us so that it's not a lot to keep up with for one person individually. You can come up with either an exercise to do every day or minutes for the week, getting our water, freggies (fruits&veggies) quota or anything else you would like to challenge us with. Once we figure out how many would like to be involved we can come up with a list. If you have any ideas please jump right in and express them. This will be a team effort to help each other and ourselves to making more consistent good choices and living an active and healthier lifestyle. As for a time frame I think if it is working for us we can keep it going as long as we want.
Let's see who is interested and thoughts.... emoticon
