Hot and humid, in the 90s today. Doing laundry and cleaning and am almost done.

The end of another month. I am ready for better weather and better health. I will be slammed with doctor's appointments in October and won't have much free time. I dread it! But I need to be healthier.

That safety check sounded great. You are very good to Cassie. I am glad she is happy.

Hubby worked on the old truck again today and I worked on sparkpeople group stuff.

I got decisions on the Medicare Savings plan and SNAP today. The problem with finding my file at CICP is everything was under a Medicaid number and not the Human Services number. I haven't had full Medicaid for several years, though the decision thing says I had it in August and September. Why those two months I'll never know. Their decision explanations don't make sense for either one of them, though. Guess I'll have to call and ask questions. It doesn't give any decision for the next year on SNAP, just a bunch of a mess for Aug, Sept, and Oct.

I was out doing a little shopping and returning books today. Had to get a new prescription for Cassie and some stuff for her meals. When I got to the library to return the books there was a car check thing going on. Safety check on the auto and also on the driver which included blind spots, how the seat belt hit, angle of the steering wheel (I had to lower it), and height of the head rest (had to raise it). It was all through AAA and AARP. I had seen something on one of those, but at the other end of the city, not close to me. Anyway, I went through it and later bought one of those cover things for the seat belt so I could wear it properly without it cutting my neck.

Came home and fixed Cassie's yummy dinner (well, to her anyway -- vegetables were sweet pepper, broccoli, and mushrooms that went with her chicken). It is good to see her enjoying that so much.

So sorry to hear about your rough day. My hubby and I have been going through that the last couple of days. He is working on our old truck and I am working on cleaning out one of my pantries. Way too many problems cropping up. Hugs.

I think the medical stuff is straightened out. I hope so, anyway. I think I will take the form over to the Human Services anyway, just to make sure. I'll have to wait for a while, or get just a few gallons of gas to get me there and back. I only have a quarter tank. Well, I will figure something out. I just don't trust them now.

Went to get a couple more things for Cassie that will hopefully help her. Meanwhile I went to the food pantry hoping to get her some more meat. Only ended up with some that I can eat since it was all seasoned. I did get her another sweet pepper, though, and she has seen it on the stove and wants it. Crazy girl. I also went to get some pill pockets and managed to get sick, then broke the screen of my phone. It costs more to get a new screen than it does to get a whole new phone. So I will either get a screen protector or end up getting a new phone, again. This one was from April. What a mess of a day.

We are having the same kind of goofy weather.

I hope everything is straightened out now with your medical discount program.

I hope Cassie does well with the chemo. I will send another prayer for her. Hugs.

I've been having problems with getting my medical discount program. I didn't realize I had to call in a bunch of the information to get it started. Well, I came home and did that call, went back to get the card and was told I didn't have the application started so had to start over. Blew my stack and went and talked to someone at the corporate offices. Still had to come home and start over. Then I was told to fax it (over $25 to do that). Called the next day and was told that faxes sit for up to 45 days. So the lady I talked to then took the phone start. Got back down to the office and they said it wasn't there. Plus I had to give her all the paperwork backup again, though I had faxed everything. I called the lady from corporate from right there is the waiting room and they finally got things done, but if I hadn't lost my temper on Monday I still wouldn't have it.

Got Cassie's next chemo capsules today. I'll start her on them tomorrow. I sure hope they help her and get her into remission. She is just so sweet.

We are having the craziest weather. I was looking to see what it would be today and think it was 80s.. Tomorrow suppose to be 90, then around 70, then high 80s, then 70. Just jumping all over the place.

Dairy products here are very expensive. I don't buy them other than cheese and yogurt.

I got my senior flu shot last Friday. They are predicting a bad flu season. A child has already died. I hope you will get one. Hubby and I are not feeling well. I have tons of medical appointments soon and hopefully my doctor will have a plan. He is really good.

I am really into cozy mysteries.

I hope it cools off here soon. We need to get ready for Fall.

Expensive and the stores are always advertising "our new low prices." Went to Kings the other day and their small sour cream is now $2 each ON SALE. It was $1.79 regular price 2 weeks ago, then they had a sale at $1.25 and then increased the price. I wonder what it is going to be next week when it isn't on sale anymore.

I did find some vitamins for Cassie at a lower price. Today I went and got 4 more gallons of the Alkaline water on sale. Got a small thing of shiitake mushrooms and a small pumpkin. I saw something for grilled pumpkin sections the other day and want to try it. Big splurge when I am trying to put that money toward Cassie's food, but she can have some of it, too. I'm sure I won't be able to eat the entire pumpkin, even if it is small.

Also got some ink for my printer (ordered and pick-up at store) and then went to Hobby Lobby and got some material to recover my truck seat. I have been trying to figure out how to do that and just thought that maybe I can make a half seat cover like they have at the auto stores to slip over the seat. It won't exactly match the back, but will look better than the big hole that is getting bigger and bigger. I looked at a couple other things there, but I was a good girl and didn't buy.

Came home and cooked some brown rice with green peppers and beets to go with the rest of Cassie's food that I have prepared so far. She is really enjoying the home-cooked meals. She had some blackberries for dessert. Just has a multi left for tonight and maybe some more CBD.

Everything is so expensive any more. It sounds like you are taking good care of Cassie. It also sounds like you got lots of exercise in walking.

I went downtown today to renew my CICP (discount medical for indigent). After going all the way down there they told me my recertification for Medicare assistance is due in October and I have to have all the paperwork for it and be to the CICP office by 7 a.m. to get it done. There is no parking at that hospital anymore that I can get in, so there is no way I can make it by 7 a.m. They just seem to be making things harder and harder around here. I think I will have to call the one at Lowry or Park Hill to see how they are working things. For several years they had appointments. Now that has gone all to pot.

A friend gave me some money for Cassie's vet bills and I still had a little left so I took that down the the clinic and asked about her next chemo. It won't be in until a week to two weeks. Then she gets one pill every other day. Meanwhile I have a book that was recommended that I borrowed from the library (actually Jefferson County's library) that has a lot of information and a diet for dogs with cancer. So I was trying to get more of the ingredients that he says for the meals, plus some Ca and tried to get multi-vitamins (they only had one for $25, so I'm going to look other places). I did get her chicken liver and brussels sprouts to cook and add to the meals, some red and yellow mini peppers, mushrooms (though only cremini since they didn't have the other kind), beets and brown rice. Hope those will work for a while. What is already cooked is chicken breast and still has some turkey and spinach in it. She has several supplements that I am mixing in for immunity and to protect from a UTI.

I did get some ground beef that was on closeout today, so had my cheeseburger for National Cheeseburger Day. Wow, though, that stuff is expensive. The stores all had some on sale, 80% lean (Cassie can't eat that cooked) but you had to buy over 3 pounds and I just didn't have that much. The smaller packages, though, were over $7 (they were more lean, though). The ones I got were $5.29 and 94% lean.

Had a good walk from the CICP office today. I had ripped a hangnail and wanted to cut it off, so had to walk several blocks south and east to find someplace with clippers I could get. Then had to walk a few more long blocks to get to the bus stop. Maybe only a mile, but hard on me for some reason.

It's nice to find someone else who likes the same authors. I have Cleo Coyle on my list of people to read too. Your crochet, knitting, and beading sound great.

Laura Childs is one of the authors whose books I have been reading. I think I might have read all the Cackleberry ones (that one is a cafe in somewhere like Iowa or Minnesota - something around there, but I've never seen exactly where), and most of the tea shop mysteries. She also has scrapbooking mysteries set in New Orleans. I like reading some of the histories that she has in them, but not going so into them like a history book. I just finished one of her scrapbooking ones and have her latest tea shop one here to read. That might take a while since I have a book on dog cancer on hold to pick up tomorrow.

The other two that I have here to read are Monica Ferris, who has some in Minnesota with a needlework shop owner as the heroine; and Cleo Coyle, whose heroine is manager of a coffee house. After that I am going to need to get some things done for Christmas. I have a lot of yarn left and I'm pretty sure I have crochet thread that I can use for crochet projects or knitting; and have a lot of beading and wire wrapping supplies to do jewelry. I have to see what else I have around the house.

It's in the 90s here and muggy. The heat index is around 100. The rest of the week will be upper 80s and 90s.

I finished the Rita Mae Brown Mrs. Murphy series up till the next offering in 2020. I didn't like the later books much and probably won't read the next offering in the series. The books have veered way too much off topic for me and the cozy mystery part seems to be an after thought. The cat part has suffered too. The characters I liked in the early books are almost all gone in the later ones. The books have become increasingly political. Half of each later book is like a historical "romance". The focus is on Virginia, present and past, the topography, the lifestyle, wars, the evolution of slavery, manners, why Southerners, mostly Virginians, are so much superior than everyone else. Fox hunting, thoroughbred horses, vineyards, battlefields. Good slave owners vs bad slave owners. Really??? I'm sure Virginia is a wonderful state but aren't they all? I tend to think so. All states have the good, the bad, and the ugly. I'm one of those less-than-beloved northerners mentioned in her books though. Land of Lincoln, you know. No Revolutionary War or Civil War Battlefields here. We are not fighting the Civil War still here and really don't want to again. So I am moving on.

After finishing that up, I managed to check out the latest episode of Nancy Atherton's Aunt Dimity books "Heart of Gold" and until I started reading it, I didn't realize how much I really appreciated books that stick with the cozy genre. It was like a breath of fresh air. Nancy is one of our "rude" Illinoisans. LOL. I am all for those if Nancy is an example. I breezed right through the book. Didn't have to push myself to read parts of it. Didn't have to suffer through a slave having her eye torn out. Her face scarred. Her boyfriend stabbed. I totally loved it. Score!

I'm obviously hard to please. So I decided to channel my dead MIL to choose who to read next. My Mil's was from Wyoming and 100% Hungarian so not much in common there but her birthday was the day before mine and we love a lot of the same things. She liked beauty - things liked gardening, flowers, animals, nature, collecting things, art. I was raised drinking tea all day long and my MIL got into it at some point. She collected tea things and gave me tea things. I had tea parties as a child. She and her friends had tea parties as adults. So I found an author who likes tea too - Laura Childs. I don't know anything about her but she writes about a tea shop. It is in Charleston, S.C. so I'm praying I won't end up on Fort Sumpter battlefield with my leg blown off by a cannon. I'm only on page 50 and so far it's going okay.

Hubby took a day off Friday so he had a 3 day weekend. He turned 63 on Saturday. Over the 3 days we went to the library, Tractor Supply, Kroger, Walmart and to a guitar store he likes and he bought 3 sets of strings. He wants to buy another guitar He has at least 4 that I know of and I don't want more but I have a banjo, a snare drum, a keyboard. a clarinet. Saturday we went out of town and ate at Red Lobster and it was so good. It was his suggestion and a total surprise to me as he normally is very frugal and wants to cheap out. In addition to shrimp and fish, at Red Lobster he tried something new to eat, Garlic Shrimp Scampi. That is also unusual for him too. He liked all of it. He is wanting us to go back too. I think he is sick of McDonald's. I am not into fast food much but can find at least one thing at any fast food place that I like. McDonald's is one of the worst but I like their Bacon Ranch Salad with Grilled Chicken and Balsamic Vinaigrette.

Well, it is time to get supper on the table.

I am going to look into consolidation as long as it doesn't affect my house. I don't know how regular credit counseling can help. There just isn't enough coming in to cover the bills. About all I can do is not buy necessities.

The financial situation sounds like quite a dilemma. What about those people who refinance your credit card debt by getting your creditors to take less?

Poor Cassie. I hope she feels better soon.

I couldnt understand what they were talking about in that "pro se" bankruptcy meeting. They went fairly fast and it was just going over my head. I did find out the one thing, though. I would not have a place to live because the exemption for "homestead" is $105k and they don't even have any places here for that low. Even condos are going for over $300k now. So I would have to give up the house and that would pay the mortgage, The 2nd mortgage that my cousin took out (so I would still be able to keep the house if I declared bankruptcy), pay my cousin back, and pay the credit card company. Then I would have nothing left to pay rent with and apartments around here are going $3-400 more than my income. So I am going to be going through looking for things to sell again, even though they will only be worth about $10 each, if that. My saddle would probably bring quite a bit more, but still won't get the credit card balance down much, especially when they will either raise the minimum due or raise the interest again.

Cassie was licking the carpet yesterday and today threw up in the front of her crate. I thought when I came home this morning that it had to do with a treat she had, or she ate a little grass yesterday before I could stop her, but it turned out to be hair. She needs to stop licking the rug.

I'm glad Cassie is feeling better. I don't know anything about bankruptcy. I didn't even have a credit card until a few years ago.

Jazzy, when I really get into it and try KETO I never get the calories I am suppose to have. I can't eat that much fat or I have problems. But I try to do it when I am not being addicted to other things that I'm not suppose to have in the first place. Maybe not all the way down to what they say for carbs, but usually at where they start with the carbs around 50 to 75 (I don't end up figuring those as net carbs, though). It sounds to me like you are doing really well.

Cassie seems to be feeling better yesterday and today, even breathing-wise. I started diffusing some essential oils and am hoping they are also helping. I am going to print out some things I have found for cancer fighting and take them to the vet to see what he thinks will help her. He isn't a holistic vet, but I'm sure he would probably agree she couldn't handle the chemo again and I don't have the money for it now because of the hospitalization.

Tomorrow I will be going to some kind of meeting that helps people understand bankruptcy and how to self-file for it. The credit card company raised my interest 6% after I paid extra this month to try to get my balance a little lower. They always either raise my interest when I do that or they raise the minimum due. I have been paying faithfully every month and even trying to pay a little over the minimum and have a good credit rating at this point, but they are purposely ruining it. Then the issuing bank (which is my current bank) sent a survey of how they did when I called, how satisfied I was and would I recommend them to others. Oh, sure. Recommend them to others so they can be ripped off. I wrote back and told them I was looking for another bank after what they did. They have sent something saying they were going to call and straighten the matter out. I will have no way to pay for things like toilet paper now. I have been trying so hard and then get screwed by a company I have been with since 1976.

Jazzy, get well soon. You are sticking well with the diet. Keep it up.

I always feel a push at this time of year to get ready for winter. I have some gardening projects to finish up. Our temps are still up and down. Hubby is going to take some time off soon.

I am back to eating a lot of salads again and am eating more vegetables, fruits, and lean meat. Cheating less. I am sleeping okay. Getting my 10,000 steps in every day. Trying to keep up with things around here.

She came home late this afternoon. No parasites. Has prescription diet and meds for several days. I am sure glad she is home. She was really happy when I got there today.

I think most people would be doing the same under these conditions. At least she is doing well and should potty soon. Hugs.

We are at 95 now, but I think it is tomorrow that the temps are suppose to go down to the 80s for a couple of weeks. Either tomorrow or Saturday.

I played my full time of pickleball today. Kept the phone where I could hear it, but no call yet from the vet. I asked them to check Cassie for worms and they are having trouble doing it. She got rid of everything while she was suffering from gastroenteritis, so she has nothing to poop so they can check for worms. I think I could have brought her home yesterday if I hadn't asked for that check. Anyway, they said she is bright and eating and happy. I am eating, too, unfortunately. Stress eating.

The temps are up and down here but I am ready for Fall.

I am so sorry to hear about Cassie. I hope this works and she will be okay. My heart goes out to you and I will pray for you and her. Keep us informed on how you are both doing. Hugs.

Sunday and Monday were way hot here. Sunday got up to 100. Not sure about Monday, but at least 98. Yesterday was closer to 90 and today I think it was even cooler, though the Weather Channel app said 90. I stayed inside today. I heard thunder, but I don't think it rained.

Cassie has been in the hospital since Saturday morning. After having her chemo treatment she was okay for a couple of days, then got hemorrhagic gastroenteritis. Of course, yesterday we thought about her eating the leftovers in the yard (from hawks and foxes or whatever) so she might have parasites and I called to have that checked. They haven't been able to get a sample to check, so she has been in the hospital an extra day now. I did go see her yesterday for a while after I had been upset and crying because I was afraid I'd never see her again. So if they can get the parasite check done tomorrow morning she will be able to come home.

With all the worry about Cassie and then the worry about expenses, I haven't been eating well. Tonight it was mashed potatoes with ham again. I just cut up the ham and put it in with the potatoes.

It will be in the low 80s here all week and the high 50s and lower 60s at night. Some less humid days.

I hate washing bed linens.

That is the same neighbor. Who know what he is up to.

It wasn't dark and rainy here today, but it sure was cold this morning and yesterday morning. I've had to get in a hot tub of water to warm up. It ended up fairly mild today, I think in the low 80s. Tomorrow is suppose to get to the low 70s. Sounds like fall is on the way, but then it is suppose to get back to the 90s for a couple days, then back and forth between the upper 80s and low to mid 90s.

I am working on my laundry today again. I have dried my comforters and will have to throw one away because the insides are just all tied in tight knots. I will have to find a sheet or something to cover up the other one because it is white with pink and gray flowers and I don't want it ruined. Currently have a blanket and sheet in the dryer and am rinsing out the washer before putting my other load of clothes in it. I think I might make it to them tomorrow. I still have the electric blanket needing washed. I started to take it to the laundromat, then read directions and found it wouldn't work out there.

Is that the neighbor that has been threatening you that was yelling at the police? He sounds like he has a lot of mental problems.

It was cloudy, dark, rainy, and comfortable this morning before the sun came out and it warmed up some. The laundry, cleaning, and vacuuming are done. Worked on my checkbook and cleaned out my purse. I am ready to read.

Last Thursday evening, after my hubby got home from work, we needed to go to town. As we were leaving we saw a UPS truck at the neighbor's house leaving some packages on the porch. When we came home and entered our shared driveway the police were right behind us and drove over to the the neighbor's house. We don't live real close to the neighbor's but when we got out of our truck at our carport we could hear him yelling at the police. We couldn't understand what he was saying. So who knows what's up with this. Constant drama next door.

I have been doing a little decluttering of papers/mail. I put it off as we get too much mail. Sometimes I don't feel sitting down and weeding through all of this crap. So it piles up. I do dig out our bills if they are recognizable. Not always an easy thing to do.

I LOVE RBG and am sending prayers for her to beat this latest bout of pancreatic cancer.

Most bacon here is expensive, too. There is one store that has it on special once in a while for $2.99. It is a smaller package and I don't care if it is smaller because I hardly ever eat bacon. I have one package in the freezer and one in the fridge, but not sure the fridge one is any good now. It looks kind of funny. I did have a couple pieces from it. I am more likely to buy from the butcher part of King's since I can get two strips instead of a whole package.

Sometimes Kroger here sells uncured bacon for $3.99. That is about the best I can get uncured here.

Nothing much going on here. Got my laundry and cleaning done. It may storm again today and if it does I will read. I need to clean out my purse and go through some food to give to the wildlife. Some of them will eat anything so we have no waste.

Cassie and I spent about 5 to 5 1/2 hours at the Pet Expo yesterday. I got to sit down to have an expensive bite to eat (hot dog and fries -- ate about half the hot dog mostly without the bun, and probably less than 1/3 of the fries. They were bad) and then after closing I sat on the frame of a trailer while waiting for my friend to pick me up. I didn't think my feet were ever going to recover.

Since I have been eating too much bread I decided I would get some deli meat and cheese to eat by rolling them up. That will make something quicker to eat, especially when I just don't feel like cooking anything. I figure I can roll them together that way or add lettuce on the outside. Not too sure how to add something like tomato, though. Maybe just not roll it. I know prepared foods aren't too good, but I can't slice thin enough to roll like that.

I can have 3 servings of fruit a day on my plan and usually have them. The peaches and cantaloupe here are awesome right now. I like the fake crab meat too. The pet expo sounds great.

Mostly at the farmers market I only get peaches for fruit and maybe a cantaloupe (which I forgot that I got). This week I got a huge head of leaf lettuce as well as the kohlrabi.

Last night I wasn't too hungry so had fruit dip (yogurt and peanut butter) with a small banana and jicama. I just didn't feel like making anything. I got some fake crab out to make some crab salad with for maybe tomorrow night (it's still frozen tonight). One of my friends makes her spaghetti with that instead of ground beef or sausage. It is actually pretty good.

Taking Cassie to the Pet Expo tomorrow. I've been trying to figure out how to get everything going that I need to carry with. Decided maybe to take pictures with the phone and hoping I can get close enough to get some of the stunt dogs. I wanted to see them once before but wasn't able to and now am friends with the trainer on Facebook. Haven't met her yet though.

Do you have smaller farm stands? Where I got some peaches Friday they open up around mid July and are open 7 days a week. I have to remember to eat the cantaloupe I got there because it was already ready to eat. It is the smallest cantaloupe I have ever found for sale and since I can't eat much at a time it looked right for me.

At the farmers market yesterday I got some leaf lettuce for $2 that is about 3 or more times the size of what you get in the stores now for $1.79. Guess it's a bargain for that if I can find enough ways to eat it. The guy was also cutting up a kohlrabi for samples so I got a taste. I think I might have eaten that before, but can't really remember. I got one of those because I thought it might work with my peanut butter, too. Got a few more peaches and a few donut peaches at another stand (one stand mostly fruit, the other mainly vegetables).

We are back in the 80s for a couple of days and had rain today, which closed down the farmers market a little early. I was able to get what I wanted before they closed. It's muggy now, though.

My email has locked me off, so I turned off all my notifications. I will try to check in via the website.

Actually they don't have that many federal laws about gun control. Legislation is proposed and usually doesn't pass or is passed and overturned, declared unconstitutional, or expires so people end up confused - thinking there a bunch of laws to protect them when there aren't. Some laws are just attempts to put teeth into the laws already passed or are laws to protect gun manufacturers from being liable. Some states or cities pass laws but then the person just crosses state lines and buys what they want. The guy you talked to on Facebook is a complete a---. No one is killing 20 people in a minute with a BB gun. People can make guns themselves. Most people are not advocating turning over the second amendment. Just asking for common sense gun control. Whenever gun control comes up nut jobs from both political parties go crazy. I have a FOID card and own 2 pistols. My hubby has a bunch. I don't know how many but can think of at least 9. He inherited some from his dad because his 2 brothers are on the list of people not allowed to have guns. That should be a source of comfort for everyone reading this. We don't have an AK-47 and don't want one and wish our drunken druggie neighbor didn't have one. It's not a hunting gun and, as far as personal protection, it's overkill. The neighbor's guns have been stolen a couple of times. Hubby and I don't have gun emergencies where we need to be able to buy a gun immediately. I can't think of any reason that would occur for anyone. Situations like that warrant the police. We are not felons, not committing domestic violence, not threatening other people with guns, not playing with guns, not disturbing the peace, not mentally ill. This article lists laws and attempts at gun control.

Banana peppers are not like any other peppers. All peppers are different to me. I can tell the difference in all of them. A chili doesn't taste like a jalapeno.

I think with the shootings that they need to do something about the AK-47s and stuff like that. How many people who aren't in service or police need those? But it would only be those who obey the laws who would be the ones restricted from getting them. Killers will find some way to get them or use another means. From what I heard, the guy in Las Vegas last year (I think it was) had some other kind that he added something to that made it like an assault rifle. Some guy on Facebook told me that what the guy in El Paso used wasn't any worse than a BB gun used for hunting. If that was true, how did he kill and injure so many? The problem is, they have all these rules and checks that people have to go through to get guns, yet the killers get them. How are they suppose to fix that? Here they passed something that if someone says you are likely to become a killer or you have any type of mental problem, they can take your weapon, no questions asked. Sounds great, but what about all those people who have a grudge against someone and just want those people in trouble. They will report them having a mental problem and the person doesn't have a problem, yet loses his anyway.

I have never tried a banana pepper. are they similar to Green Peppers in taste? I am not a Green Pepper eater, even after they turn yellow and red. I stick with chili peppers.

Peaches don't last long in my area.

Hubby spent a lot of time in the garden on the weekend. We are eating yummy goodies out of it. I like the red banana peppers the best. So sweet and crunchy. He also filled all the feeders for me and cleaned the birdbaths, fountains, drinking bowls, and the wildlife swimming pool so I didn't have as much work to do outside yesterday. We have tons of hummers this year and they go through a lot of sugar water. We have a lot of baby birds whose mothers are feeding them at the feeders. One of the baby raccoons is sick. It is having trouble getting around and might not make it. Hubby is trying to make sure it can get something to eat in case it can get better. He is really upset about it. Another raccoon has a shoulder wound. Life is hard for wildlife. We provide them with salt, water, cover, and food to help them but it would never be enough.

Domestic terrorism is sky rocketing. Will our leaders do ANYTHING at all to protect us? If not, it's time to replace them. Hubby and I have FOID cards and lots of guns but something must be done about this.

I would not have ever been able to get into the old cars, but I like to go look at them. My cousin use to race one. It was a Willy's from the 40s. Considering what that '39 Ford looked like, I think Elverne's was a '41. I want to go to the drag racing track when they have the classic car races and see if the guy who bought it after it was restored is racing it in something like that, but it probably isn't being raced anymore.

I should check my peaches and probably get them into the fridge. Got them Thursday, I think, on the way back from the vet (after we got home from Butterfly Pavilion). I finally got some peaches to ripen properly this year. Usually they get rotten on one side and they are grainy on the other side. I hate that. Then I have to go buy a ripe one each day that I want one.

Tried putting some soup on the chops tonight and added some potatoes. Not sure they will even heat up since they are still in the crock pot and I started them late, so I might have to use a pot on the stove instead. I think I will. It is already after 8:00.
