I am reading The Dresden Files series too, slowly. I am up to book 5.

Dresden files is one of my favorite series! It's great.

I have never read his other series "Furies"

I have read the Dresden Files, and as someone else mentioned, don't be too afraid if you didn't care for the TV series, the books are better.

I read the first book in the Dresden Files and really liked it. I haven't had a chance to pick up any more yet. I have to say though that I like his wife's books better then his. I have all of the ones that she wrote, lol.

One of my favorite series is the Dresden Files. Don't worry about if you didn't like the TV show, like everything else the books are totally different from the show. He also has another great series called the Codex Alera.
I would highly recommend both.

Heard of him but never read anything he's written. Didn't much care for the TV show--it's on Netflix if you're interested and have the service available to you--but that is really neither here nor there. He is a favorite of my older daughter's boyfriend, though. So he has the endorsement of a 19-year-old male college student, if that helps at all.

Love the Dresden Files!! Poor Harry Dresden, Jim Butcher never throws the poor guy a bone! New book coming out in November and I can't wait. I want Harry to not only kick a little *ss, but get a little happiness! I'm a sucker for a happy ending. What can I say.

I haven't heard of him, sorry.

I really like them. There was a series on Scifi for one season - Dresden Files. I've read all the books in the series so far. Waiting for the new one.

Has anyone ever read any Jim Butcher books?

I went to Barnes & Noble today and found a couple books of his that seemed quite interesting/good. So I want to know if they are good or just seem like they're good.
