I noticed this group as a tag under a posting in a different group, so I thought I would give it a try. I weigh in on Sundays as it a less busy day for me and I have time in the morning to weigh in and log it before anybody has to wake up lol.

I started off August with a bang and ended with a wimper. I lost 5 pounds this month, so that's good, but I need to get back on track. My diet has been awful lately and exercise non-exisitent. I'm planning out this week to make sure that changes!

FAITHFULMOTHER,
I believe that flavored water counts. Just make sure it is low calorie. Have you tried adding a slice of lime, lemon, orange or even cucumber?? Also Crystal Light makes some low calorie powder to add to water...some come in little packets you can add to bottled water.

I weigh in on Sat so if I go over my caloric range on the week-end, I have the whole week ahead to do some fine tuning.

About drinking water, tea, coffee are also ok............so say some diet guru's. It about getting fluid in.

Nor should we drink our calories by having juice. We need our fibre

Ok so I have decided to weigh in on Fridays. So I weighed this morning and did really lose anything but stayed the said minus a few oz. I have not been able to exercise because my son has a cast on his leg and so hopefully it can come off today and I can start walking in the evenings. I am also still struggling with drinking water. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get it in? Also does adding like a little flavoring to it still count as water intake?

hello all i weigh in on sundays its the begining of the week and its easier for me to remember but i use my wii everyday and am doing sometype of exercise everyday i still getting used to doing everything by the book so to speak i am currently doing a 30lb challenge by dec 22 so well see how that goes i am also planning out my year so i have goals for each month and i can mark my progressby next aug i want to be at 208 so thats my goal and i believe i can do this

I agree Angie. I used to weigh in on Thursdays and then for a challenge, I thought they asked to weigh in on Monday. At the time, I didn't even think to keep my Thurs weigh in. Turns out Thursday are my lightest days (as I still weigh myself), however, I have kept my Monday weigh in and that has turned out to be my heaviest day - especially as I not exercising on the weekends and I'm usually going out during the weekend so the scale shows it on Monday and by Thurs, I'm back down. So I hate weighing in on Monday....

Pick the day you want to weigh in. I weigh in on Mondays and I don't recommend it unless you exercise on the weekend!! I don't usually exercise on Sat. Or Sunday and my weigh in show that. It is not the day I picked. It is the day I have my diabetes prevention class. I have stayed with it out of routine. Good luck on your journey to a healthy lifestyle!! Angie emoticon

well ive been sick this week so eating has been scarce until yesterday afternoon i started eating real food im back on plan with my 5 meals throughout the day and am getting ready for some breakfast so im ready the day ahead, i still get tired a lot and am up for a few hours then i lay back down which is where im headed meds then sleep hoping ill be back to normal soon

i too have done the not eating all day then binge at night til im stuffed and it only makes you gain weight what im doing is breaking my eating down to 5 small meals of around 300 cal each and eating aproximately every 3 hours from the time i wake up which is usually around 6 ami dont eat til hubbs comes home from work around 8 and then starts my day its still a new plan so ill let you know how it works for me

Hi Dawn, I use to do that years ago, not eat until almost nearing suppertime. Like anything else, once you start eating breakfast, it will be a given.

If your feeling out of sinc, try to do something that will lift you out of it; have some fun. Hope your day gets better and better.

Hope yall( and i) keep on with the learning and the good attempts-- which lead to learning.

my food challenge these days is getting myself to eat breakfast- i want to avoid food as long as possible but know that is not a good way to do things. Trying trying.

my life challenge is reimagining this move-- from feeling it is an exile to going on to a new adventure-- depression threatens-- trying to separate out what is sadness and allow it. Soooo glad that i'm not going to hit the bakery or ice cream to try to make it all betterer.

well ive had a gain but my stress is over and depression lifted and ive reset all my goals and im hoping for some good news next sunday so heres to a new week im at 312 today so heres to a great week

I have had a busy birthday week. I haven't gained any
weight nor lost this week. I am happy to have no gain!!

I am just starting with this group. I had a great week one weigh in on Monday. I have never lost that much weight in a week and been fit to live with. I love the trackers-they help me stay aware of what I am really doing instead of what I think I am doing. My goal is 288 by birthday on August 30th. I want to be below 290 on my B-day and I will do it.

I'm almost ready to move my ticker forward for another 5lbs lost for a total of 35lbs. Slowly, but surely, I will get there.

I try to stay on top of things as much I can by tweaking things here and there.

Hiya I'm new to the team so HI ALL! :)
I'm down 34kg/77lb and Ive got a further10kg / 22 lbs to go. I'd have lost 100lbs by then. I plan to do it in 8 more weeks. YAY. As soon as my camera battery recharges I'll post some new pics! :) Keep up you good work everyone.

I want to lose 10 bounds in August. This will put me at 229 and I haven't been out of the 230's in a long long time. It can be done!

I'm not new to the team but new to active posting. I've been spending a lot of time reading blogs and success stories and that is what is keeping me going. I have 105 pounds to lose total and this is the year to finally get it off.

I want off this 5-6 pound roller coaster ride! Can't seem to break out of the 240's (and stay out) ..... since April! argh! I know, this too, shall pass - but it's frustrating!

I also want to lose 30lbs by the end of this year. There is nothing standing in our way, although often times, we might think so.

hello all, im starting august with a gain but im hoping to loose it and be under 300 by christmas so 280 is my goal im currently at 308 so ive got my work ahead of me but i can do this im babysitting until aug17th so i have til then to deal with some stress the boys are 8 and 9 and are staying with us while their mother is with their father at the hospital so its been a stressful couple of months for me but i see the light at the end of the tunnel and soon life will be back to focousing on me and my goals:)

Since, I have lost 30 thus far, the next increment is another 30 hopefully, by the end of this year.

Then I'll move on from there.

My resolve is better then usual; what a blessing.

I just keep it in mind, portion, portion, portion. That what it's all about in the end.

I am starting August off pound lighter than when I joined!! I am glad to see a positive movement in the scales! I have a good diet plan in place and a workout regiment. Its working for me and I can see it in the smile on my face!!!

August is the month that I will concentrate on my diet-nutrition. I love the exercise part of this but the diet is what is getting me all messed up. So now I just need to think before I put anything in my mouth. I need to ask myself "Are you hungry?" If the answer is yes then eat, but do it thoughtfully. If the answer is no then put the food thought right out of my mind. I will be praying a lot this month because talking with GOD is the only thing that is going to help change my thoughts and habits. I know I can't do this on my own. Thanks to all of you too, this group of people are all so wonderful and giving. I appreciate it. I know Tom is coming and that is why I gained back my three pounds I lost. Tom suxs. Next week I should be back on track.

Welcome Sherri. Thanks for being here everybody. i'm starting August 15 pounds lighter than i was July 7. Feels great! Some bad days. Now with a quick relocation in a few steps happening, i'm overwhelmed but determined not to let road trips and lunches out and such take me down and push my weight back up.

i'll not have as many spark points, but i sure do hope i get some good life points and keep getting lighter.

Ahhh a new month! August will be a great month, this is a month were i lose at least 5lbs and i run more. this is the month that life gets more busy with school starting on the 22nd but i will meet it with gusto because i can do it!

It comes down to a simple question: what do you want out of life, and what are you willing to do to get it?

I have reset my goals this month and am trying smaller increment goals even though overall I would like to lose 100lbs, it seems overwhelming. I am recommitting to staying on track.

Hello everyone and Hello August! I'm hoping this will be a good weightloss month for me. I've
just totally recommitted to my weightloss plan and my exercise regimen and it feels good. I went clothes shopping over the weekend and I'm down a size, but would like to be down so much more. I'm hoping to be down another clothing size by the end of September is my goal. That gives me two months to take off about 30 more pounds. Let's see if I can do it!! I'm glad to see everyone here and welcome our new leaders. Thank you for being there for us. I hope you all have a successful month!

Another month down....my house will be winding down in 2 months or so, and I can regain my life back! We have 2 new leaders and lost Debbie, but with a new month comes a new slate. Lets moves our bums and make healthy choices, this will be a great month!
