First day I tried to really run (er waddle/jog/shuffle walk) and I surpassed my own belief in what I could do! I jogged 1/2mile of the last 3/4mile of my path!! WooHoo!!!

3miles 47mins (and i was strolling slowly for first mile :-( Was not even going to go out tonight

I just did my longest run ever...9.5 miles in 110 mins. I am happy with that.

I am going to run 45 minutes today. But I also am going to swim and then bike 45 minutes each. The 20th I am in an all womens triathlon and need to do all 3 in the same day!

3.4mi in 53mins. Freaked me out...looked at my watch and thought it said 3.85, but on closer inspection that was my average speed. LOL Felt really really good for a few minutes. Still, it was a new route with a killer hill 2/3 of the way through, so happy with that. Should get me around 45mins for the next 5k in a couple weeks!

Until last Friday I hadn't run since mid-February. This week I got out early, like 5:30 or before, on Tuesday and today and did 2.15 miles in 30 minutes each time. Not very fast at all but I'm starting to get back to it. I do 1 min run/1 min walk for 15 repeats right now for the 30 minutes. So I'm feeling good about getting it done.

4 miles in 50 mins again today...95 degrees when I ran...broke down and bought Powerade Zero this week and I'm glad I did...I drank a lot today...didn't feel any easier today, but I'll keep trying...Kernell...keep trying too! Hi all,

I did 4.5 miles in 45 minutes today. This is the fastest that I've ever run in a 45 minute time period. Next week, I run my very first 5k I'm very excited, but very nervous!!

Same thing happened to me last week...ran 3mi wed did not bad, 3mi thurs and killed it, then took fri off, then sat did 3mi but had nothing in the tank. If you figure it out, let me know! :)

4 miles in 50 minutes...it felt hard today; don't know if it was the wind, increased temps, or how stressful and busy work was leading up to the run...I will never understand how 4 miles one day can feel SOOOOO much harder than 7 miles on a different day

Ran 3.11 today, but had no energy at all. Legs were heavy and tired from I guess overdone it this week. Combined with elliptical, recumbent bike, and my running, i think i did something like over 11mi, which is a lot for me, most of it since wednesay.

Really wanted to get in another run this weekend to try and lose this last 4 lbs, but got me eondering... I was able to do the run and pushed through the fatigue - cardio was fine, just wasnt feeling much energy in my legs which affected my pace a lot - but did i do myself any favours by pushing through, or should I have rested a couple days? Have no real problems these days trying to gut out a run, but just want to know if it could possibly be counter-productive? Or was it good to grind it out?

I haven't run in a couple of months. I did a little over a mile yesterday which wasn't as far as I wanted but it was noon and it got a little hot on me. Want to do a 5k the end of May here that is a local small one. There are only 2 or 3 local races a year where I live, the rest are at least 2 hours away. I've done this one the past 2 years. Even if I have to walk some of it I want to get out there and do it. We'll see how it goes. I have 5 weeks to see what I can build up to but not going to push it so hard I injure myself. I think my last run was a 5k I did in early February. I need to run earlier in the mornings though now that it is getting warm (mid 70's to 80 or so) now.

Ran 2.67mi today, finished it a few seconds shy of 41 minutes. I have a 2.4mi route I've run by my house and thought I'd extend it a bit tonight and see if I can get it up to 3.1mi but I guess my calculations were a bit off...may need to recalculate.

Not so much worried about the time yet...its only been about a week since I've been able to run (jog) a full 3mi without walking, and the pace felt pretty good to me, so quite happy.

Trying to get 5k under 45mins for a race I have in 3 weeks, and if I continue making the progress I'm making, I should be right on track!

I prepped, packed and went out to where my Tri team was to do an open water swim...waited...and waited...no one showed up, so I left. I'll bet anything they turned up after I left - late!!

Oh, well...tomorrow, we do a brick (bike + run)...if they show up for that.

It's hard to stay on track on a holiday weekend (sigh)...
