So I will have a very happy doctor when I start my visits this month, He wanted a 9 pound weight lose for me by January 1st and I can happily say I have lost 12 pounds this last year!. Not a super fast weight lose but still it is less to carry than last year, so I am very happy!

I am aiming to loose 35 for this whole year and as I managed the 12 in 4 months I think 35 may be doable for 2014.

So when do we start our next challenge? LOL

Ok so the good news first, in past years I would have gained like crazy in the 4 weeks between Thanksgiving prep, the actual day and then Christmas and New Year's Eve and Day, but have not so far this year! Not so good is stayed the same again this week but holding pattern is better than a gain, so not Bad news! And we all should remember what we can do is good even if there may be a gain as long as we jump back on the band wagon January 2nd.

Been really busy and with grand kiddos home from school very little me time so this is short and sweet.

Thanks for the the Kudos, Dancincajun1! I think as long as we all try and be accountable even without a lose ( but hopefully not a gain) we are doing what' s best for each of us!

I bet if we were not doing the challenge it would give us free rein to eat more on the holiday seasons! Just a thought, as staying the same is better than an unwanted large gain!

Well even to housebound due to weather and a broken car, I am managing to be as good as I can and the results are not bad! Twelve pounds off since September will make for a very good doctor visit next month! And 4 pounds this challenge so far, even if i don't make the 10 that is okay as long as I am moving the scale in the right direction.

yes team is doing very well, sorry I be not holding my own. LOL it is slight and has been stressful so I am back on track now this minute. It is fluctuating by day and time so I am not sure if water weight is going on or what. But will track closer this week and see

Ok so minor weight gain this week but I am still eating mostly right and learning what I am doing wrong so I am okay with it. In other years it would have been a major weight gain, so lessons learned. And I am less then I was 2 weeks ago, so even more good news to me.

I am aiming more low carb than others but work more on portion control and eat what is served.

I spent more than 1 week with constant moving to help someone ready a house for appraisal, with little food to eat, so expected a better weight loss this week. Than yesterday ended the week with a day in bed almost unable to move with just one meal eaten. So today back to normal eating what's cooked and measure a correct portion. That is this weeks goal just measure/weigh intake and see what happens.

you are all too funny! I love elbees, hehe!

Hopefully back on track eating this weekend as house is calmer (sort of, boys have 3 day weekend so not real quiet).

We ate out and had a lot of junk food and don't see that it killed my weight, looks like I may be up a bit but no worries tomorrow is another day.

Giving up is not an option, so onward and upward in the battle of the fat hill to slide down the other side!

Yep another day too busy and too much but I knew we were taking Dear grandson to supper so ate as light as I could during the day and still went over calories but only by 130 cal so not too bad and all points were met or under so not bad. See it is all about me learning to make choices each day.

Will be glad when this week is over so we all return to normal (HAHA normal here is not most people's normal but what I have to live with, so...) and meals are planned out and normal times.

"Giving up is not an option" and I will keep it real with myself and others. In case you all wonder the "giving up quote" is one which a young man in our town had used through his life, which was cut short at 16 when he took a helmet to helmet hit in High school football and died without regaining consciousness, and I truly believe he was loaned to us short time to teach us all that we have to preserver no matter what or when as one moment at a time is what we have to live and fight through, and accept our success even if it is a small success.

Gr8tawk, a start is what is important, not whether good or bad, but we all want good and perfect so I understand!

Dancincajun1 can you do anything from the old place and put in a crock pot to carry to the new place? I love fresh fruits and veggies but in a pinch used the canned stuff when I am away from cooking and busy or prepack something like soup in crock to carry. Actually somewhere I saw a post about foods to take for lunches when no facilities are around I just can't remember the place I saw it.

actually sounds like you did quite well for all that NANA .... got to admit we are not eating very well with this move .... too many sandwiches and too few veggies ... they are all packed up and we haven't finished the cabinets at the new place ... will try to get the door knobs on today so we can start filling up the shelves ...

good news -- did not gain this weekend ....

sure will be nice to have my OWN exercise room in the new place !! will NOT have any excuses !!

Well as I figured it was not a good weekend for eating as we had a weekend 18th birthday party for my grandson, which meant from Friday at 3 until Sunday at 5 7 ravenous teenage boys who ate and slept here = lots of junk food! But the positive note to myself was I didn't eat all that they did variety wise and just had tastes of the food while trying to get best food available.

Also another good news is it pushed my weight up a bit! Wait you are saying that is not good , but yes it is as that means my starting weight for this challenge is higher and thus (to my crazy mind) will be easier to get back to last week's weight sooner. Just kidding I expected i would not have a lose and may show a gain, but it is ok as that is life up and down and I am still 8 pounds less then I was when I continued my Spark journey!

So here is my data for this challenge

which means my aim for January is now 229!

GIVING UP IS NOT AN OPTION an option and I will KEEP IT REAL WITH MYSELF AND OTHERS! emoticon

I could give you a ton of reasons it won't work; grandson's 18th birthday with 2 parties, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, all of which will involve eating a lot. LOL, but how about this, I am going to eat the best I can at each event, drink lots of water, exercise when my body allows, and get what I can off, even if less then my goal of 10 pounds!

Yep we can all do this one ounce at a time, baby stepping our way to healthy bodies and happier souls!
