I know ALL of those! At least I think so.

I practice them often - Use 'em, or lose 'em!

I understand the frustration! I can't seem to get enough protein without going over my calorie intake! I workout, just like you, and gained 2lbs in 3mo.without trying to gain. gained 1/4 in. on m y waist too. Cluck it! I am frustrated and sor sorry that you are feeling the same frustration! As for words to use, my Grandmother always said, Pshaw! There is also Gall darn it! and dagnambit!

Marshmallow puff, preztel sticks, fudge, crap, flipping, blah be la are just some of my curse words when things are not going right. I need new words since these past 3 weeks have been full of bad luck. Does anyone have any new words that I can use to express my sheer stressfulness? Flowerdalejewel, my calorie intake is 1300 calories. I went to the doctor Monday and found out that I have polycystic ovarian syndrome and I was extremely anemic. She said that could be why I haven't lost any weight and been feeling like poo. I just want to feel better and I can't wait for June 26th. I am hosting a youth retreat with some kids from church. I think I am going to put "Leave youth group leader alone for a few hours" in the daily schedule. Thank you for your comments. It is nice to know that there are people who care out there in the world. I hope that you have a great day.

Exactly what is your daily caloric intake according to your trainer. If you cut down your calories too much your body will go into starvation mode and retain what you are eating. You must have a balanced diet, breakfast being the most important meal of the day as it breaks the overnight fast. It will also depend on what your breakfast consists of, too much fruit, while looking healthy does not give your body enough to function on until lunch, you would be better with a high quality protein like an egg or if you are a vegetarian a tofu scramble, maybe a high fibre wholewheat piece of toast then a piece of fruit. That should get you through a workout and into lunch.

Don't get too discouraged if you aren't dropping the pounds every other day, not all people lose that way and don't forget that muscle weighs more than fat so if you are working out and building up muscle this maybe why you are not losing like you think you should be. Don't be tempted to say stuff it all and get into the cheesecake, sometimes weight loss takes time and depending on your age, the time will differ.

Please drop by my page if you want to talk or send me a Sparkmail, I will always try to help where I can.

Peace and long life - Jules

So I may need some help. This morning I made my protein shake with soy milk and had a banana. My trainer told me that my breakfast should only be 300 calories. I logged in my breakfast into my food intake page and it told me that I just consumed 345 calories. I wanted to cry. I am working out pass my limit and goals everyday and counting my calories everyday. Then the part that I start losing faith is when I set on the scale in the mornings. No pounds lost. I don't want to give up but it's so hard to work out until you see stars and then nothing happens on the scale! I want to lose this weight for my health and to show myself that I can do whatever I want to do in life if I set my mind to it. I work full time and then I volunteer as a youth group leader at my church. Youth group leader is a full time job in it's self but without getting paid. I am just losing faith in everything. I want to go purchase a large cheesecake and lay in my bed right now. Does anyone have any advice?

Being from Australia the whole "Weiner" thing falls flat over here, but I'll bet nobody over there would be able to look at a weiner the same way again, emoticon

Well, I guess because I could give a rat's patootie about politics, I simply enjoyed on the different ways of "couching" the weiner references.

And no, I'm pretty sure the furniture police would at least issue a citation on your 'tablet' reference...so I wouldn't risk it!

I'm all for a little drink every now and again! And now for something completely different?

New uses for old words:
Fascinate: "I got nine buttons on this shirt but I can only fascinate"
European: "Hey dude turn the other way European on my boots"

I saw the recipe for the bucket slush. After one of those, not many people would have any sense at all, unless the beverage was shared with a multitude of others and imbibing was limited.-- Don't ask me how I would possibly know this....... emoticon emoticon

PARTY SLUSH BUCKET

2 cans (6 oz.) straight frozen lemonade
1 can (6 oz.) straight frozen orange juice
2 c. strong tea
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. liquor (rum, vodka, brandy, etc.)
7 c. boiling water
Mix all ingredients. Fill ice cream bucket full. Freeze until slushy or hard. Serve.
May add 7-Up or ginger ale to make desired slush consistency in glass.

** Most people I know switch things around in this recipe **
7 c. liquor (rum, vodka, brandy, etc.) the more liquor stops it from freezing hard as a rock
2 c. boiling water

ENJOY! emoticon

I'm not much of a drinker anymore, it wouldn't take much to knock me cold, never mind a frozen one copping me in the melon!!

Frozen beverages are particularly hard when thrown at the head, huh, Juleen? A little time and softening make them so much lovlier!

Kahlua, vodka, vanilla ice cream--mix to a frothy shake and bam you have an excellent frozen beverage

I haven't had a "proper" milkshake in years, they just don't make them like they used to. Mind you if they stick vodka in them I don't think I'd worry too much about how they made them. emoticon emoticon

I actually don't drink very much myself but if I am going to blow my healthy lifestyle a grown up milkshake sounds really good since I love good thick chocolate milkshakes and haven't had one is several years! Oh No, Now I will start thinking about them and want to go get one!!!
