Dee:
I am sooo happy for you. Please do listen to the 2 week thing and I agree with Twilightnan completly. You need to rest now and YOU NOW HAVE ALL YOUR LIFE (YEAH!!!!) to exercise and reach your goals.

I am so excited for everyone here. Swarmoflizards you are a great help on this site also. I have enjoyed so much reading posts and your encouragement for others.

I have had my exchange and nipple surgery and I am very open to talking about it if anyone needs answers, please just ask

Hi Dee, I'm so glad to hear that you're doing well! I had my implant exchange on Wednesday, and my doctor said three weeks until exercise, so I think I'm in the same exercise-free boat as you are for a while.

Congrats also on getting the port out! Bet it feels great to have that out!

Oh Dee, I am so happy you are doing well! Yea!

Don't worry about working out, you can do that the rest of your life! Rest and relax and heal now. Can you imagine how terrible it would be if you worked out and inhibited or reversed your healing? Don't be a bad girl, listen to your doctor and abide by the hospitals instructions! This is your time to rest and get better, no matter how bored you get. Don't fret too much about the food either, when you are given your walking papers you will take off that extra weight in no time I am sure. Hey your probably lost 10 pounds already from vomiting! lol!

So what exactly did you have? expanders and fills and then the exchange? May I ask if you had to have a flap from somewhere to enable your skin to stretch?
Anyway, congrats and so glad you are doing well. Hang in there sister...it will be a mere memory before you know it~! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Hello All!
I had my surgery yesterday morning -- removed expanders and replaced with the silicone implants and... YAY.. removed my port!!!

Couldn't eat much yesterday (even taking the anit-nausea) meds I was vomiting more than I did with chemo! But I am like new (stomach-wise) today! Still - very very tender and sore but not so much that I need the pain pills (which is good because they constipate me)

I just re-read the care instructions they sent home with me to find out I am not allowed to workout for TWO weeks. Ugh. I love my workouts and this is not going to be so easy. Though, it also says that the first two weeks is critical in my recovery so I WILL listen to the instructions. I'll just have to be very careful about what I eat! NO extras without exercising or I'll gain a ton of weight in just two weeks.

Anyway - all is well!! Thank you for your prayers and positive vibes!! Now we let this all heal up and then I go for the nipple surgery and then the tattoo areaola.

OH OH!! And my eye brows are growing back!! Yay!! and I am gretting to the point that in a couple of weeks I may not have to wear a scarf!

Hugs,
Dee

It is not enough to simply show up. You need to step up for results.... keep on stepping! Dee
