I don't eat too many unhealthy snacks, but then there is the dark chocolate. I'm trying to have 1 piece for dessert. It doesn't help that now we see articles that dark chocolate is actually good for you!!

I am working on quitting the unhealthy snacking. Joining in on eating one snack in the morning and one in the afternoon, and quit with the late night snacking. Why does chocolate have to call so loud??!!

Over the past month - for some reason - I have developed a new unhealthy habit (as if the ones I had were not enough! LOL!) ... drinking diet soda. This is unhealthy for me for two reasons... the first one is because I vowed not to use/consume artificial sweeteners because of the possible connection to causing cancer. The other reason is because of the caffeine. It increases my anxiety (which is naturally high because of my Type A - perfectionistic personality). Today, I have not had any soda ... and I have a headache. I am certain it is caffeine withdrawal. Bleah. What is funny is I gave up caffeinated coffee a couple of years ago and all I drink is decaf. So ... I am going to drink water first and foremost and only allow myself to have one soda with my dinner (total deprivation doesn't work for me).

I have been a little better the past few weeks of not snacking after evening meal. I want to continue that and also increase my dietary fruits and vegetables. It isn't as hard in summer with fresh garden produce but I WILL find a way!!

Going through radiation, I lost my appetite for the low carb fruits and veggies.
My pledge is to increase eating my veggies in particular. I have improved with fruit in the past two weeks. I also pledge to reduce the starchy carbs in my diet.

I know I will be challenged as i just started on Tamoxifen a few days ago.

Once in a while I buy 1 pkg. of coconut M & M's. I don't eat but a few
at a time, so they last for a week or so.

I have not felt well for a few weeks, but I plan to start walking on he treadmill,
at least 10 minutes to start, and hopefully increase as time goes by.

I am joining with the other 'creatures of the night' in trying to give up late snacks (definitely my undoing). I can be good all day long, but once the sun goes down, I want to feed. emoticon

I too, must give up unhealthy snacks. I just acquired that this year and I do not intend to carry it over.

I pledge to give up the unhealthy night snacks. I plan to limit my snacks to one in the afternoon and one in the evening. And yes, those m & m's get me every time. Who can eat just afew of them?

Almond M&M's. The little chocolate marvels seem to be most people's evil nemesis. I can open a 1/2 lb bag and its gone in no time. I usually give them up for Lent, which works very well for me, but this year, I'm going to stay away from them for the whole year!! emoticon

Sounds like we're all in the same over-loaded boat. I pledge to give up the unhealthy night snacks. Being diabetic I need a light healthy snack, but even tho they tell us to eat colorful, I'm sure that doesn't mean a whole bowl of m&m,s......

I resolve to stop pigging out late in the evening. I'm a working soccor mom and do not get home from work and activities until 7:00 or so in the evening and by the time I'm done cooking dinner, it is 7:30 - 8:00 and I'm completely starving and I tend to ever eat. My kids don't go to their after school activities without having a healthy snack, so why do I do it. There is nothing that says I can't have a snack in the stands while I'm watching the kids

No m & m's late night for me. I have eaten them as comfort food one too many times. I did last night and can't even find the expiration date, that's so bad for me. I commit to end my m & m problem. emoticon emoticon

I tend to eat too many late evening snacks. That is one problem I want to get rid of for 2012. I pledge to have one snack after dinner, not 2 or 3.

Do you have anything you are trying to emoticon or emoticon too? Something you are hoping to avoid in the new year. There is emoticon in our bad habits, but in a month's time we may be able to rid ourselves of one bad habit, post yours and why you are done with it this time.. emoticon emoticon emoticon You can make a fresh new start, commit yourself to your own personal goals! emoticon emoticon
