I couldn't agree with you more about this team! Everytime I log onto SP (even when I wasn't doing anything but reading) I noticed I always logged onto this team 1st.

Congratulations on your upcoming degree and your new home. Life may get in the way but you just continue to push through it and come out on top

You have had so many losses and here you are. That speaks volumes to me about who you are, You are so much more than a SURVIVOR of cancer. You have always been such an encouragment to me and I am sure many others and I am very happy to welcome you back.

emoticon back to the team, Dee. Congratulations on your new home
and your graduation.

You have been through so much pain losing loved ones but I am glad that
you're taking a medication that is helping you.

It's a good thing to want to lose weight. It's great that we can come to SP
for free, to get the job done.

Thanks everyone!! :)

Right now I am still in school... won't be done for a couple of more weeks.... so still feeling like I need to be three people. I always joke at work... I know I've gained weight but I am still only ONE person!! LOL!!

Anyway -- I am glad we have a three day weekend! My first goal on here is to just check in every day or two.... outside of that I am trying to find some kind of routine in terms of diet and exercise. slow and steady :)

Thanks so much for your support!!

Positively,
Dee

Dee, so glad you are seeing some improvement w/the Cymbalta. Depression can be & IS so devastating for so many, touching not just your life but those around you. Kudos to you for going for treatment! Several think it is a weakness to take medication for the condition.

Sorry to that you have had such losses and have gained weight because of all! I think it's how some of us relate to that stress! Oh, that in some magical time we would be so strong or have changed our responses that we wouldn't but maybe baby steps.

Of course you can count on this team to help you as we can. Do keep checking in so we can. Glad you are back and congrats on your upcoming graduation. A little at a time you can & WILL DO this !! We believe in you! emoticon

Whew Dee! I knew you'd been missing, but on this team, I was afraid to ask if anyone knew where you were.... Sorry you've been having depression problems (I know that feeling- UGH) but I'm glad that's been the worst of it. So sorry to hear about the loss of your mom and your brother. I know the feeling of loss of a little brother. Mine had just turned 53 the week before. Cancer, of course..... Anyhow, enjoy your summer break from school, get yourself settled in your new home, celebrate your graduation, and get back on track!!! I'll encourage you if you'll keep after me!!!

Good luck, and remember, YOU CAN DO IT!

Remember that even happy events cause stress - like getting a new home and settling into it.

I think everyone on this list has had ups and downs - and what matters is that you come back from the downs and try again.

godd luck, and hugs
Caro

Hello My long lost teammates!

As many of you know... I've been through a couple of major losses.... having lost my mom to leukemia this past memorial day (ugh! the ONE YEAR anniversary is coming up) and then my little brother passing away from a heart attack in January ~ ugh ugh ugh. On top of this I have plantar fasciitis and have gained a bunch MORE weight.

I fell into such a deep depression that I started Cymbalta. It has helped.

All of this while working full time and working towards my masters in social work.

Well I am happy to say that I will be graduating on June 9th ... YAY! It was a long 4 years!! And - since I am a teacher - I am coming into summer which is a much lighter work load.... which means I can take a breath and begin to take better care of myself!

OH... and on the UP side (beside my weight that is)... my hubby and I have bought a brand new home (move in on April 13th) ... we love it! Just haven't had enough time to settle in... but that is coming too!

So.... I am back and I would greatly appreciate it if you guys could help me STAY back... cheer me on like you used to ... check in on me when you can... that sort of thing. I am much more likely to check in every day if I know people are "looking" for me ;0)

Thanks so much for being here.... this team helped me through my breast cancer diagnosis and treatments.... and you have helped me through the loss of my mom and brother... This is by far the best team I have ever belong too!!

Thank you thank you thank you!! ((((hugs))))
