Still in a depressive phase, but so far the day seems better than yesterday. I am trying to focus on being kind to myself today - that tends to go to the wayside when I am in the dumps.

Hypo-manic...same as the last week. It is really hard to get up to 1200 calories when I am bouncing off the walls. On a good note, I have gotten a lot of walking in!

I am a mess today. Vacations (most likely the stress that comes with traveling with children and the anxiety of a new place) always seem to throw me into a depressive phase. As I have gotten to know my diagnosis, I am never sure if it is the depression or the lack of my manic productivity that bothers me more. Anyhow, we have no plans today, so I am just going to take it easy, make sure I am eating well and getting all my water, then try to get outside and be a bit active.

Audrey I hope it gets better. I hate that feeling because you know you don't want to be like that and yet you can't seem to control it. Maybe take some nurturing for yourself today, even if it is only for 5-mins? Music? A walk? A cup of tea?

Teresa, hang in there! Definitely re-examine your plan but try not to beat yourself up. We are only human and the medications add a dimension to the weight loss that others don't experience.

For me, I'm going on 2-hours of sleep and still battling the manic side. Very hyper-focused, task-oriented, impulsive, and very drawn to wanting to be on the computer. Trying to be patient and realize that this too will pass. Feeling more optimistic today.

I am frustrated at my lack of weight loss. I have returned to tracking, and things have been looking fairly good. I think I need to reevaluate some of my plan and definitely try and move more. I am working on the health issues which may contribute to this issue.

I'm still battling hypo. Went to bed around 10:45 didn't fall asleep until 12 AM. Woke back up at 3 AM. Went to a DBSA support group meeting yesterday... hadn't been there in 2-years. Glad I went.

Not too bad... I had a good day yesterday but tomorrow is going to be hard. I have to wake up early and go to the Social Security office and get paperwork to show the office my disability income. Geo is going to get his, too. Then we have to go downtown to get his bus pass. He's going to be irritated so I have to be the strong one.

Had a rough couple of days but I managed to stay stable. I feel more joyful and happier. I was happy that I didn't let the past few days events set me off into a depression or mania. I was determined to not let it happen and instead focused on the things I am grateful for. I told myself that I need to remain healthy. It was 1.5 days of constant messages to myself like this but it worked. Man, is it hard work keeping on top of this!

I'm starting to feel depressed. I have put plans in motion along with my husband that finalize the fact that I have control over our everyday expenses account and that will have a set limit on it. I know it's for the best so that we stop struggling financially but I feel like a piece of me is going away. I've done finances for myself ever since I was 17 being on my own. I have fun doing it (seeing those numbers when we're on a roll). I'm good at it too when I'm not in a mood swing. But my mood swings are worse and more frequent now so that it's not safe for me to have control anymore. That saddens me.

URBANAUDREYE I'm sorry. Hope the irritability eases up but glad to know the depression lifted. I hate when that happens. I've been pretty hyper focused today and unable to tear myself away from the computer. Guess I'm feeling a bit hypo.

MUSIC2HISEARS I am SO sorry! That is horrible and it sounds like you a need a break out in nature or a cup of coffee at a Starbucks to restore yourself. Right now must feel awful but please know that that it will pass... it always does with us and we have to fight to remember that. Sending you hugs!!!
