I'm planning to start soon but am intimidated by the 4-day jump start. Every thing looks good, but I know I will not be able to eat unsweetened cereal with skim milk. The other difficulty will be giving up coffee and my drink before dinner. Would it be better if I just started the 28-day plan forgetting the 4-day jump start??

I tried it but couldn't stick to it. I don't like tomatoes that much! But the diet is a good plan to follow, so I say go for it. It sounds like a fad but it's structure is just good eating advice. And easy to follow. Just need the willpower to follow through.

I'm thinking of taking the plunge, I've had the cookbook for a few years but I've never started. I'm intimidated by the 4 day pre-diet - I'm in a place emotionally right now where if I do anything restrictive I probably won't stick to it. Have any of you skipped that part of the diet? Or done a shorter version of it or a slightly less restrictive version?
