Lately my favorite lunch has been sauteed radish greens, some yellow squash, snap peas, and tomatoes from the garden. The garden is in its last hurrah so I'll be supplemental with items from the grocery store and the veggies I canned.

Favorite lunch this last few weeks is 1/2 large salad cucumber half pealed and sliced and chopped into deep bowl - add 5oz can of tuna, salmon, chicken or other canned meat. a tablespoon of avocado oil mayo and 2 tablespoons of dill relish. A sprinkle of DASH and Lite-Salt and stir and enjoy. Usually with pint of tea [hot or iced depending on the day].

We like our main meal to be at lunch time, instead of dinner time. Me, I like chicken salad over lettuce greens.

Determined to have a green salad each day this month - today added 2 oz cooked ground tukey and 4 oz canned pinto beans rinsed once to cut down the sodium, drizzle of dressing and pint of ice water with lemon juice in it. re-learning growing my own alfalfa sprouts to cut down grocer purchases for my salads.

I eat my main meal at lunchtime and eat lite for dinner. A healthy lunch...seems to help power me through the day by keeping my energy levels up. Usually a small vinegar and oil salad, center cut chops, fish, chicken, sirloin steak or a ground turkey dish and a red potato with Benocal spread.

I bake my chicken since store bought pre-roasted chicken is very high in salt. Costco's rotisserie chickens have 460mg of salt in a 3 oz. serving. That is A LOT of sodium for 3 ounces of chicken! They are also high in cholesterol. Walmart's rotisserie chicken is even higher at 620mg or salt.

I like this lunch idea, chicken, w/ drizzle of dressing, sounds gourmet!!

Do you buy the Pre-roasted chicken, for multiple lunches or Deli chicken Br slices?

Favorite lunch : Oven roasted chicken breast 3oz, bed of greens or finely chopped cabbage, drizzle of blue cheese full fat dressing, 1/2 apple or pear or banana, pint of tea or lemon water with stevia
