Swimming is what keeps me going. Its more than just a workout to me.

Eating soup for lunch, adding lots of produce to dinner, and making sure that I really am exercising 4-5 days a week (not just thinking about exercising....) is really helpful. The soup keeps my lunch calories in a good range, as do the freggies with dinner. Workouts are obviously a plus.

my walking is what keeps me at an even weight, even if it is not what I want I know I just spent 2 weeks, with little exercise, only about 5,000 steps per day, well, I did gain 2 pounds, and did not eat more, so I gotta walk, I should and could put forth a bit more effort but, usually stay at 2 1/2 to 3 miles per hour.

Drinking fresh raw smoothies for 2 meals a day has helped tremendously. They keep me full and satisfied, and are chock full of healthy nutrients.

Challenges like the 5% challenge really help me to keep focused and be accountable to others.

I started a regular walking routing several years ago which helped in so many ways. A brisk walk to work and I felt full of vim and vigor and ready to tackle the day.

Knowing I have a best friend/mom to encourage and inspire has helped a lot to keep me on track. Also, not keeping food in my bedroom. I still have lunch down there occasionally, but I don't keep food there. It makes it harder for me to snack mindlessly.

Packing my lunch daily and not going out to eat has really helped me. It makes me more aware of what I am eating instead of blindly grabbing something quick on the go.

We no longer keep soda pop in the house. No one seems to miss it. Water--plain and flavored--seems to be the beverage of choice, especially for my 12 year old! emoticon

DD has started exercising regularly using some of my videos.

DH has yet to get on board.... emoticon

Walking! Adding two 15-min walking breaks at work, in addition to my regular workouts really helps keep my metabolism running and helps keep me from sitting at my desk alllllll day.

Eating produce at every meal has helped immensely. Fruits and veggies are packed with nutrients for little calories.
