Gaye, it was definitely an energy boost. I did a 30-minute run I had planned, then walked the dog for 15 minutes, made dinner then hit the 4,3,2,1 workout.

I did four minutes of kickboxing moves, cross punches, front and side kicks and some boxer shuffles. Then I did three minutes of upper body resistance band moves, crunches for one minute then a one-minute plank.

I did a lot more than a one minute stretch because it was needed.

I'm officially a big fan of the 4,3,2,1 workout and it fits nicely with the Spark 10-minute fitness philosophy.

Sounds like a good plan on those days when 10 minutes is about all I have, or a way to do set after set for a good long workout with variety.

Sounds a little frenetic to me, but I like the ratios. T.

I was reading about exercise physiologist Sean Foy's 4,3,2,1 exercise model and thought I'd give it a try......

4 minutes of high intensity aerobic activity
3 minutes of resistance training
2 minutes of core work
1 minute of breathing and stretching

Join me and let me know how it works for you.
