I take a pre natal vit everyday and rarely get sick. but it must be added to a healthy diet and exercise to work

I seem to always be over my vitamin C intake on my tracking. I eat lots of fruit and veggies so guess that is why. I will do some jumping jacks when I walk to get some extra cardio. The dog will wonder what I am doing, I'm sure.

Time to eat your vitamins. Most of us are into the cold and flu season. Keep washing your hands and get your vitamin C.

Of course it hasn't been absolutely proven to prevent or cure colds but it can help your immune system as well as forming collagen, a connective tissue, which gives strength and structure by holding together muscles, bones, and other tissues. It helps to build, repair, and maintain red blood cells, bones, and other tissues.

Sources of vitamin C, obviously, oranges but also red and green peppers, kiwi, kale and cauliflower.

Don't have these items on hand, get your shopping list started for your next trip.

CARDIO IDEA OF THE DAY: Move more than you sit. We've all read that sitting too much causes several health problems. So....

-get an extra 10 minutes of walking in, around the house or at the mall.
-walk a lap around the inside of your house every hour
-do side steps while watching tv
-walk back and forth on a phone call
-jumping jacks, low and no impact counts too (step side to side as you raise your arms).

I often break into jumping jacks several times during a weekend.
