If you're short on time or want to add a little extra to your planned workout, try exercise physiologist Sean Foy's 4,3,2,1 exercise model:

4 minutes of high intensity aerobic activity (this can be as intense as you can handle, a brisk walk for example or some dancing or string a few SparkPeople cardio moves together:

3 minutes of resistance training - pick any strength exercises you need
2 minutes of core work - crunches, planks etc
1 minute of breathing and stretching (I usually do this for about five minutes. Go ahead and STRETCH out the time here)
