I wanted to wish everyone the very BEST during our holiday season and again would like to encourage us local Sparkers to consider how we might reclaim our local Spark team and rev things up!

Although I've been a leader for this SparkTeam I will have to admit to having dropped the ball on this Team for a while. In the past I was able to put more energy into it and we had fun organizing a team for the Relay for Life and have done things like getting together for picnics, potlucks, bicycling, kayaking, cross-country skiing, contradance, walks / jogs in local parks, etc.

I had hoped that others would join in to start up activities over time, however this didn't happen. Since I work a full-time and part-time job I just couldn't keep the mojo going.

But we DO have the potential to celebrate our SPARK locally and have some fun together. So I'm posting this as a reminder to everyone on our local Binghamton SparkTeam:

If any of you would like to suggest new opportunities for fun gatherings to celebrate our Spark I would totally support and do my best to be a part of it and lend some muscle toward whatever we choose to pursue as a team.

Here is a new idea I recently came across:

This appears to be a combination of a 12-step support program ala Overeaters Anonymous, however the twist is to meet together as a supper club and rotate meetings from one member's household to the next and to enjoy a healthy potluck meal together along with a discussion about healthy topics and brainstorms. Seems like a promising idea, no? ;-)

Please chime in on this message thread to share your thoughts / ideas / suggestions and let's see what we can do stir up some healthy fun for all of us!
