I took the plunge and registered MBSHAZZER! And I agree, it probably won't huge like Miami was!!! I was dodging people for at least 5 miles at that one! I'm excited, thanks!

Tia, it looks great! Also, an inaugural race usually is a smaller one and a lot of times it's easier to hit your goal time when you are not constantly dodging people and stressing about the crowd. (hellllloooooo ING Miami!).

I say DO IT! Good luck!

Tia, I may look into this one for next year! I am hoping to figure out why I can't seem to stay healthy and fix it.... whether it's an alignment isse, a gait problem.. whatever... and hopefully be ready to try for my BQ in the next year or two.

FANGFACEKITTY, the intent of the race isn't to qualify, but they just want to be a race to attract people who do want to qualify as well as all others. It's hard to find good qualifying races that time of year on the east coast, so it's great to have. I'm sure it will be like all races, with people of all abilities, but since it's a very flat course, it should lend itself to a good PR run no matter how fast or slow. It just sounds like a great race, you should still check it out!

I don't live too far away and could do the race but I am not that fast and don't have any intention of trying to be. I know I could run the HM anyway but I don't think I would enjoy it if the intent of the race is to try to qualify at those times.

I am guessing that this is the first year for this race. I live in Michigan and I am familiar with most local races. I've never heard of this one (also they did not put last year's results on the website). The Crim group is putting it on AND they know how to put on a race so it should be good.

Had been looking for a good marathon to BQ at late spring, and came across this one. Sounds gimmicky I know, but it really looks like a great race, so I figured I'd go for it! Anyone familiar with it?
