I have the same problem with my scale. I didn't get a new one, but I did get a new battery and even if I weigh myself 3 times in a row, I get a different reading each time. I end up just taking the average. Frankly, it still bugs the crap out of me.

I agree. I also struggle because If I move a hair it either gives me an Error or a different weight. I could step on it three times and they are now all different. Frustrating. This is why I bought a new scale. I guess I need to just put it in one place and leave it there and only weigh once.

3 pounds is nothing ... a lot of others have said their new scale was off by 20+ I really would prefer the old fashioned kind, these digital ones stink

One bite, one day, one pound at a time. Remember you are worth the effort!

You're right! I will weigh tomorrow and update my info. It just stinks. I thought I was doing really well and then the extra 3 pounds is like a smack in the face.. lol. It will be ok. :)

I would go with the new one too. Chalk it up to scales mark differently and continue what your doing. Three pounds seem devastating but in the long run, you'll know that it's a little blip!

Just go with the new scale - adjust your starting weight up by 3 pounds too in your weight tracker. My wife gave away my good scale that my 16EEE feet fit on when she bought her Weight Watcher one. Well the WW one does not like me - I have to weigh myself 3 times and take the highest reading (or if 2 out of 3 agree - I take that one).

Doesn't really matter as long as the trend is down, down and down.

It's only numbers you know.

Oh boy, same thing happened to me about a year ago and I was shocked at how disturbed I was by it. Go with the new one, but know in your heart it's probably a bit high and feel good that you haven't let this throw you

emoticon Hi Suzi!

I agree with Becky and Ann. I know it can be frustrating though. As long as you stick with it and remain consistent you will lose weight and the number on your scale will start coming down.

I am sorry but I think if you have spent the money for a new scale that is the one that you should read from!

Three pounds in the big picture is nothing. Just go on and do what you are doing, follow your program and let it go. I think the biggest thing for us is not to get caught up on the numbers. The number on your scale should not have power over your life!

Watching salt intake also trying not to buy foods that have high fructose corn syrup, sugar, rice syrup, corn syrup, fructose, sucrose etc. in the first three ingredients.

No foods that have more than 3 ingredients that I can not pronounce.

If an item has more than 10 ingredients I put it on the Do Not Buy List as it is too processed.

Well I would get over it and just accept that the three pound higher one is right. Find out from a doctiors scale which one is closer. I for one would go with the reading on the new scale. Sorry!! emoticon

I have a question for anyone that can answer it... A few days I bought a new scale because my other one is old and has been kicked around and I wasn't sure it was giving me accurate readings. Well, the new one is higher. Stupid scale! What would you do? Which scale would you go by and believe? It's off by about 3lbs.

Just keep swimming...
