Don't sweat the ASVAB, one of my best friends took it 3 times because she would stress herself out too much. She ended up getting to be an Intelligence Specialist and did well the 3rd time when she finally learned to chill out :)

Hey, just incase anyone is interested and has an android phone...

Check out this little app on the android market. It's free and it has a lot of stuff for studying for the asvab. It's all practice questions and stuff, but it really helps get you into the mindset for it.

Let me know.

Last time I took it, which if I'm right was 3 years ago, I scored a 94. I didn't really study for it, mostly because I was still in school and taking relevent classes which helped lol. I know now, I'd be lucky to even get close to a 70 lol. I plan on speaking to a recruiter around December, I'll probably take it then.. I'll study of course, probably even get a book like you guys did.

That score is not bad AT ALL!! I did score pretty high, but the majority of the people at MEPS that weekend got a 70 or lower. I was one of two that got higher than an 80. I got a 92, but that was DEFINITELY because I baught a cheap study book from Half-priced Books. Do it! I'm about to graduate college, so I hadn't had a math class since highschool. It was definitely beneficial to have the study book. Good Luck!

When I first took it in 11th grade, I got an 86. I didn't even study for the math or science part of it, which are my weaker areas. I'm wanting to be a psychiatrist for the air force, so I'm not too worried about not being a pro in electric and motor knowledge and stuff, although I do realize those are important to have a basic knowledge of.

My dad got me a whole comprehensive ASVAB book from ebay or something. It has math, science, and english sections in it.

"Discipline is doing what you know needs to be done when you don't want to do it."

"It all comes down to the moment of the decision."

"The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?"

How did everyone score on the ASVAB? (If you've taken it.)

I only got 63. I keep seeing people in the 80's and 90's.
which sucks because I am trying to be a Cryptologist: Interpretive (CTI) and you need high scores for that. I am hoping that if it isn't high enough to get the job I can retake it.

If you got a high score, what did you use to study for that ASVAB?
