I haven't had a chance to watch last nights episode yet but every time I watch the show I feel a variety of emotions...

1) Get over it.. the world doesn't revolve around you.. you signed up for this experiement now take it seriously. It seems to me that all the episodes before this one they never really seem to "get" what the show is trying to teach them.. if they are as you say acting like these kids are theirs.. then maybe they are finally "getting" it at which point.. I'd be THRILLED

2) You *they* don't know how lucky they are.. being able to give them back. I had my first at 22 and second at 24 and it's exaughsting and hard and emotionally and physically draining and all they have to do is put up with it for 3 days and then give them back and once it's all said and done they get to walk away with out the responsibility and hopefully I knew appreciation for parenthood.

3) I just want to go up and hug *and slap* each one of these kids because they have been TOSSED into the fray with little to no experience. It's IMPOSSIBLE for teens to raise teens as you would no longer be a teen by the time yours reached that age *obviously* so they would have 15-20 more years experience at life and parenting before they were to reach this stage of the game so other than an appreciation of how DUMB teens act *including them* they aren't really going to gain much from parenting teens

Steps down off of rant box...

The kids on that show make me SOOO mad!! I was watching it tonight and they were complaining and acting like they were really married and really had these kids!! I'm going, "YOU GET TO GIVE THEM BACK!!" I'll be 21 on August 11th and I TWO kids-- Brooke, 2 and Emily, 2 months. Quit whining you get to give the kids back and go back to your normal life!! UGH that felt good. My SO yelled at me when I started venting about it this evening.

I watch this show every week. I think it's a GREAT idea and that more teens should have to go through a program like this. The teen pregnancy rate in America is outrageous and maybe if they had to go through this program they wouldn't be having sex. At least some of them.

That being said.. I could never been one of the parents that hands over my little men..

I watch it religiously and I think it's hysterical. I see them go through things that I go through on a daily basis and they moan and groan about how hard it is. They are awfully young of course, I have a few years (decades) on all of them, but still I think it's funny. I would never lend my kids for something like that though. I have a hard time trusting my DH with them, let alone two total strangers! And the first time either of them cried, I would gallop into the house to sweep them up into my arms and hold them. I would be a nuisance to even the best teen parents on the show! emoticon

I have seen that show!! My husband and I watched it last night actually!! I really think that it is a great idea!! And I would feel ok sending my little boy to these teen homes!! The parents get to see everything that is happening and they can intervene at anytime!! Also there is a certified nanny at all times in the house!! So yeah, I think it is safe!!

Oops I forgot that part. They did make them wear the baby belly, not sure how long and they had to go to birthing classes. One girl wouldn't wear it because she thought he (her boyfriend) was laughing at her so the guy put it on and wore it to the classes.

It really is rather interesting to watch.

It does sound interesting, I don't know if I would allow my baby to be borrowed but someone would I see. I agree they should start with the simulated carrying of the child, that in and of itself can send you away screaming for mercy lol. I love my girls but carrying them was a challenge for me.
I pray everyday that both of my girls will wait, get their education, marry, live life a little before having my grands

Never heard of it.....sounds interesting though. I think they should start it off with the baby belly though.....make those girls be 9 months pregnant for a few days.....then get each little step.

The show that says it's not reality tv it's birth control. In case some haven't seen it. It's where so many groups of teen couples that think they are ready for children are given a reality check.

They start off taking care of infants for three days and it goes all the way up them taking care of dependant adults.

I have read some things in the news where people think it's not a good idea for the children, the infants, because that is when they bond with parents. I see that point. However, It was amazing to see how some of those kids got a good dose of reality and they changed their mind about having children now.

I will add that the parents can see their kids and step in at any time they think something is wrong. Also there is a nanny in the background to step in.

So what do you all think about it?
