Thanks for all of the replies. I work about 30 hours a week for a non-profit. I am much better at staying on track at work. Late afternoon is the worst time for me. I just picked up some protein bars at Wal-mart yesterday. I am hoping those will help me not over eat at night. I did well yesterday and stayed within my calorie range. I had been going over by about 200-300 calories.

it sounds like you are doing really well actually. You joined SP and Curves. And you have lost onsome of your measurements too. congrats. Sweets are my weakness too, along with salty. I have tried to stop buying the sweets and chips and things. I figure if they are not in the house I won't be eating them as much. I loaded up on produce and fruit at the store yesterday. I am also trying to stick to serving sizes. If you only eat 1 serving of ice cream its not so bad. I tend to just get 3 scoops which turns out to be about 2-3 servings. I actually started measuring my foods this morning. Are you a stay at home mom? I am hoping to lose weight better once I get back to work later this month--I had a baby on 7/3

I waited until my baby was almost 8 months so you are stating off sooner than i did, but until you can commit to cutting the sweets down to rarely, and understand it took 9 months for the weight to add on to your figure! It is going to take some time to remove it, stay positive and change one thing at a time if it is easier, but have fun with it!
The end result is a happier & healthier you!

You also have to remember that muscle weighs more than fat so maybe that is why you lost some inches but no weight. I belive that it also depends on what you are doing for a work out. It has only been a few weeks of working out and a week on board here. Take it easy on yourself and it will come off.

I have been doing SP for a week now. I weighed myself this morning and I have not lost any weight. I decided I would go in and get myself measured at Curves. I have been going to Curves for 7 weeks. I started immediately after my OB cleared me to exercise. The only place I have lost inches is in my waist and hips. I went up everywhere else! My body fat did go down though. I keep trying to tell myself that my daughter is only 3 months old. My body is still trying to adjust. I also need to cut out sweets. Any suggestions for some healthier dessert choices? emoticon
