Frozen grapes, cut in quarters (or half if you are braver than me!), helps my son who is 16mo and had 8 teeth until last week. Now I'm not sure how many, he won't let me near him but from what I can tell he's cutting 3 more including his last moler. He likes to chew on stuff, but sometimes it hurts to bite down so something cold like frozen grapes (or another favorite fruit frozen) helps ease that.... OK I just went back and read that you said that is not helping with your LO.. sorry!

There was another thread about teething, with some good tips that might work for a toddler too.

Sometimes I'll let him sit on my bed while I'm doing things around my room (so he's not running around), chewing on his toothbrush, too. Seems to help and its something he loves to bite on anyways. He also loves crushed ice, like snow cone ice but with not flavor.

I use the teething tablets and also Hylands makes a teething gel that's homeopathic if you're worried that your little one is swallowing the oragel. I use the teething tablets with children's motrin if its really bad.

Good luck!

Ami

I use the Hylands Teething Tablets. Those things are great and Homeopathic too. Other than that try a cool pop.....kids that age love them and it will numb the gums a little.

Hi everyone. I'm looking for some ideas for teething. My daughter is 18 months old and just got her 6th tooth. So as you can tell, ideas that work for infants don't really work on her. We've used baby oral gel but she always ends up drinking right after we put that on. We have tried the frozen fruit and that doesn't work either. Any ideas would be helpful.
