Glad that you are somewhat better today Paula!

Myself, well now I have progressed to the 'whiney' stage..... Coughing often enough that I don't quite know just what to hold onto - my aching rib muscles, head, or throat.... LOL

We had the A/C on last night, so all the windows were shut which helped to muffle the big booms enough to not overly stress out the one dog who is upset by storms. If it is a particularly bad storm we give him Benadryl and / or Gravol which helps keep him calm enough to not have a seizure.

Thank you Kathy, I hope you are feeling better too emoticon Glad to report that I am on the mend and as long as I step easy I can at least make my way around the house without hopping or doing the bottom shuffle along the floor LOL. As to sleep I managed to crash for 3 hours yesterday afternoon and was soooo ready for a good nights sleep, however my chihuahua had another idea as he is terrified of thunderstorms and the hum dinger we had last night kept us both up until almost 4:30 a.m. LOL, Still looking into nooks and crannies as I am determined to find that sneaky Murphy and give him the boot :). Have a great evening and hope you are soon all better. Thank you Jo, I got lucky and am healing a lot faster than I thought, hopefully can soon go for my walks again emoticon

Poor Paula! I have done stuff like that myself, so I know how much pain it can cause. I hope you get a better sleep tonight, and that by morning you are feeling a whole lot more like your usual self!

Maybe we should move in together since 'misery loves company'... you with your poor ankle and me with this nasty summer cold my DD has shared with me...

Some rain and cooler, less humid temperatures would go a long way to making us both feel better, I'm sure!

I think I need an Exorsist to banish Murphy's Law out of my house! LOL Lately seems like he has taken permanent residence here. Last night was a beautiful coolish breeze, enough to blow mosquitos and flys away so thought I would do some gardening. Hubby had mowed and together we had outside all looking so nice, no stray leaves gardens watered etc. I was doing the last of some dead-heading and trimming when like a dolt I stepped back and caught my brick edging on the gardening and rolled my ankle! Didn't hurt too bad but by bedtime I was in sooo much pain, couldn't put weight on it at all and had to crawl on knees to get to bed LOL Luckily have some Tylenol 3\s with codiene and finally managed to get 2 hrs sleep! Thankfully can put a little weight on it now so hoping it heals fast, swelling a bit better and feared at first I had tore the tendon but glad it doesn't appear to be too serious--ice and elevation and rest emoticon Hope we get the rain we are promised. Take care all
