I agree about 6 weeks to see the difference. Progress pictures is the best advice I got about losing weight. It really holds me accountable and I can actually see myself shrinking.

I saw it during week three from this site and taking weekly pictures. My rounded stomach went in very quickly and my bathroom trips became consistent with every meal (which my doctor says is a good thing). Although I only lost 17 lbs to date, I think that's excellent for being on here for 5 -6 weeks.

This site has taught me love exercise and eating (but healthier). I've consciously modified my food without feeling restricted to a set "diet" or eliminating the flavor. That's huge to me because I love to cook.

I can't wait until I see even more progress. When I reach forty pounds lost...that's when I will be convinced that there's no turning back.

For me, I started seeing results after about 6 wks. of changing my lifestyle. Once I dedicated myself to strength training for 60-90 min.(3-4x wk),cardio 30-45 min.(5-6x wk), and learning to eat the right things concentrating on my calorie intake and portion size, things began to happen. At times I get frustrated because I hit plateaus, but I never give up & I never give in.

I also started seeing results in about 6 weeks. When I started my journey, I set a goal to run a 15K. So I started Jan. 3 and ran the 15K Feb. 28th. My pants were starting to get looser even though I had lost only 5 lbs.

It took me about 6 weeks to see results. I lost inches, I feel great, and I have more energy.

It may vary with differnt people because no two people are alike, it took you time to put it on and it will take time to take it off.

With me when I start a life style change it takes about a good 90 days or 3 months to see results that you can really see yourself, and that was 30 to 50 pounds lost. When you look in the mirror or trying on your clothes. Others may see the transformation sooner but with your own eyes of being heavey so long I think the 90 challage is seeing your best result and that should motivate you to carry on.

Try that time period and see what I'm telling you. As long as you are eating correctly and and excerising atleast 3-5 times a week the results will start to melt off of you. If after your 90 days and you come to a hult don't get fustrated jut change up the way you are exceriseing because your body needs a new challage so you won't feel that you are stuck in a ruck.

I hope this answers your question but like I said, it works differently for different people because no two people are built the same. Most people with the flubbiest weight or the heaviest seem to losee faster than that person that is solid for some reason, just like men can lose weight faster than women in large numbers.

Good luck on you life change journey. Calories in, calories out and the right excerises you should no problems. Also try eating smalers meals about every three hours , about 6 times a day that will also curve your hunger through out the day and of course plenty of wafter helps with flushing the system and keeping you hydrated aspcieally this time of the year, no coffee, tea or juices. If you are eating red meats especially in the summertime cut them off or atleast try and cut back as much as possible because red meats stay in your system a long time and can slow your energy level down and we don't want that do we. Again good luck in all that you do. NEVER GIVE UP ON THE COMMITTEMENT TO YOURSELF!!!!

I am on the Jenny Craig Plan I eat between 1200-1500 cal a day. weight loss was really slow until I inreased my workouts to 5 x a week. I work out 2x for 40min and 3 x at 30min I make sure I workout with weights during 2 of my workouts. I would suggest a Polar Heart Rate Monitor and track how many calories you burn, that was a great help to me.

Best of luck and you are already starting on a great path by eating healthy and exercise

I know for me I was determined to notice something, but I didnt. I finally noticed when I was sitting and without thinking crossed my legs and girl they were not playing slip and slide with each other. They stay crossed until I was ready to take them down. Now, this may sound throwed off, but if anybody can relate, they know what I am talking about and how much of a difference it makes.

I have been eating healthier and I walked two miles a day each day this week. I haven't seen any results on the scale or measurements.

This is ok - I am willing to chisel away at my body slowly and in a healthy manner...I'm just curious.

How long did it take YOU to see results? What were you doing to get that result?

Thanks all!
