Hi Ladies,

STILLOSIN I join the Summer challenge.

Couldn't get my outside walk in raining too hard I did the Air Climber haven't do that
workout in a long time forgot hard much it makes me sweat. The Air Climber will be my go
to workout when I can't get outside and walk. My weight has been climbing up slowly now
it time for me to put a stop to it and do what I know I need to do to get back on track.

Hi BBQ,

Nice to see everyone pushing forward. On Monday I started Leslie Sansone Ultimate 5 day walk plan dvd, each day you do a different number of miles and a different body toning session, I am enjoying the workout plan because I know just what workout I'm going to do for the day. On my lunch break I walk a few lapse (3) around the park that;s across from my workplace. My eating is fair but I know I can and will do better just need to get to the supermarket and shop.

Good Morning, How's everyone doing? I'm doing great getting in my workouts & eating healthy. I know I will lose these 8 lbs cause I'm focus and determined. My workouts consist of walking, weight lifting, Zumba,WATP, Biggest Loser Power Sculpt, Jogging. Eating consist of lots of fruits & veggies green smoothies. I don't meat except fish and my water has to be Deer Park also drink a variety of herbal teas with lemon.

Get your plan together and work it hard and you can get to where you're going. Much Success on your journey. emoticon

I was off vacationing, celebrating my birthday and mother's day. However, I did not lose sight of my goals. I lost 1.4 pounds.

I also am pleased to say that I wore a black and white dress that was previously too small.

I am getting there...

Just wanted to check in got in 4 Miles Biggest Loser Power walk this morning,
looks like rain this evening so I don't know if I walk outdoor this evening.

Got a pair of volley ball knee pads since using them my sets I do on my knees feel so much better:
push-ups on the knees, lower back stretching on knee, cat stretch, leg/butt kicks (part of Slim n six), even give me a good start and finish with the planks. After I finish workout on my knees they use to hurt and burn so many times I would avoid doing them but now I can handle it with no pain or burning.

I'm still pushing doing Zumba dvds, walking & strengthen training. Lost another pound I working

Spent the weekend doing some serious gardening. In addition, I had a good week overall. I am certain it will show on the scale tomorrow at my weigh in.

Hi BBQ, I still in the game doing more walking since we had some nice days I walk every where, getting off the bus I few stops before my stop and walk home, I walk at lunchtime, and my daily evening walk. I'm still doing my Leslie walks in the mornings.

4ever21 and Ronnie, just keep up the good work and your post are encouraging.
I am so busy study for a law exam, work full time and bible prophetic training, but I have been walking. but now I am going to increase, I am joining curves this month for the circuit training and do atleast 3x per week for now and walk the other 2 days~God willing. I will give my best and I eat pretty healthy, I will post this months weight on Saturday. then keep going until June emoticon emoticon because we have too. I don't know about you, but Im tired of being overweight emoticon

Hi Queens,

Hope everyone had a nice weekend the weather here was great sunny and warm my type of weather not too hot nor cold.

I'm doing alot of walking inside and outdoor using the band for toning, for the month of May I going to do Zumba I had the dvds for months now and never gave it my best.

Eating plan:
No process foods
fresh/frozen veggies and fruit
lean protein (egg whites,fish, Chicken)
90 oz of water daily

workouts:
Walking every day
strengthen training 3x of week
Zumba 3x of week.

Goal is to lose 5 pds by May 30.

I am losing at a steady pace which I am pleased with because I know it is gone forever. However, I am not sure if it will be a full 20 pounds by the end of the challenge. I am not discouraged and I am not giving up. Just reporting in.

Oh, and speaking of reporting in, SOMETHING is working, because I am getting more positive compliments about my appearance.

Hey Queens How's everyone? The weekend was awesome i spent it with my grandson which was awesome.We have 8 days left in this month and so far i only lost1lb so I'll be pushing myself a little harder to lose 2lbs.Planning and preparing meals today.As Always Keep Pushing and Don't Give UP!!!!

Hi Queens, glad it Friday got of lot to do this weekend I want to paint the bedrooms, hallway, and bathroom so this weekend I'm going to do a clean sweep throw out junk, give away clothes I don't wear and make my space free of clutter. I believe once I clean out the clutter around me I will feel free to also de-clutter my life, and live a healthy lifestyle.

Hey Ladies, Stopping in with aprogress report.Well i had a dr's appt this morning.It went well.I'm now @ 173 the nurse told me to subtract 2lbs when you weigh with close on,so that would put me @ 171 but since I can't walk around naked I'll take the173 lol!!!! I also lost 3 inches in my waist 36-33 emoticon

Hi BBQ, just checking in this week workout is lacking so I'm going to cut down a bit in the mornings, and do 35-45 mins before work, 30 mins walk at lunchtime and an evening walk outside. Trying different things concerning my fitness just got to found the right fit. My eating and water is on track, but my motivation is low concerning my exercise going to found something to give me that extra push.

We all have to find what works for us but we can never give up.

I have been maintaining my food and exercise all week, except for Saturday which was my Grandmother's 101 birthday celebration. However, I tracked every bite and exercised! One day did not get me where I am today. And one day will not defeat my goals.

Back on track today and will have a marathon "exercise" day as I tackle some serious housekeeping (family is coming over and you know the house has to be CLEAN!) and will also do some strength training. (I actually like it, now. It still is not easy, but it I am able to do a bit more than before.)

It IS all about the attitude! I am a slow learner, but, hey, at least I am willing to learn.

Thanks so much for the encouragement. This challenge keeps me accountable.

Stillosin - with your determination you be back on plan in no time, hope you had a wonderful birthday.

I just pre order the new spark book, my goal this week is to get outdoor and power up my walking, its been raining the past few days I don't do well walking in the rain. I got in a mile this morning outdoor did slim n six using the band and 2 mile Leslie walk. Tomorrow is my rest day, log my food and workout so far I'm on track.

Good Evening BBQs, Sorry I've been MIA. I'm glad to see everyone doing great. Me on the other hand it's been rough with the eating. My Birthday been tomorrow I've been out to eat 3 days this week. I have pledge to myself that after this weekend I'll be put in some major workouts and eating healthy 100%.

I really like that salad idea think I'm try it.

Ronnie that 30 day shred is awesome the way she does the different levels. I absolutely loved it a few years back. I am walking only 20 minutes a day from 4/7 thru 4/14, then will increase to 25 minutes and add strenght until 4/21. then I plan to do the walk away the pounds from 4/14 thru 5/14. and finish this Challenge with the 30 day shred LEVEL I emoticon

Jackie - I like that idea about a 30 day salad challenge how good that is for the body and of course weight loss. I going to start this tomorrow along with a morning veggie and fruit smoothies. From April 12 until May 11 I will do the 30 day salad challenge 6 days on 1 day off.

I have Slim n six and 30 day shred I going to start with Slim n six and if I get bored before the end of six weeks I'll change it up and do Shred. Keeping up with my walks outdoor 4x of week.

I did a 30 day Salad challenge 2 months back. Defintely made a difference. I do not have a salad everyday now - but about 5 days a week I eat a salad or raw veggies.

Ronnie that is exactly what I started on Sunday. I am eating vegetables for 5 days and off 2 for a few weeks, and just starting out with walking, so I can see a change in the scale. I have been going up and down, ready to just go down!

Hi BBQ,

Keeping up with my workouts and eating healthy staying away from all process foods eating mostly veggies and fruits. I found a new love stir fry veggies, I got a Wok and love how my food taste Today I made stir fry string beans, spinach and chicken for seasoning I use a 5 spice season from the Chinese food store the taste and smell is so good. I haven't lost any weight for the past two weeks, with my change in diet and adding my outdoor walks the scale has no choice but to start moving down.

This weekend was a challenge, but I STEPPED UP to the challenge.

I was able to get some good cardio numbers in each day and some core work. This despite last minute, late night shopping, baby shower and hair appointment.

I am learning how to make my needs the first priority.

I am starting with 20 minutes of walking per day for this week; increase to 25 minutes next week 4 days and 2 strenght. trying to strengthen my core before I get real busy working out.
the third week I will walk away the pounds for a month starting with 1 mile to 2 miles to 3 miles. then I will end this challenge with Julian Michaels 30 day Shred. Good luck everyone! and prayer dont forget to pray.

STILLOSIN Black Women Losing Weight is a great fitness motivation page on Facebook. I was a feature last month. My goal is to tone so I definitely down for this challenge. I will need to prepare my meals ahead of time, like you said for the week. I will do that today. We can do this BBQs. emoticon

Good Evening BBQs and Welcome Everyone.

I've been getting in the cardio but my food choices need a little work down 1lb.for the first week. So I'm preparing my meals for the week.Boiled eggs, salads, fish,vegetables,brown rice,sweet potatoes,Iwanted to be 165 by 4/13( my birthday) but I'll shoot for 3lbs,

I am in, but I need to do a bit of modification of the cardio numbers and activity type because of mobility limitations (I am on the mend, though).

This challenge will run from April 1-June 21.

Goals
Cardio of your choice 5-6 days @ least 45 mins.
Strength Training-2-3 days
upper body-triceps,shoulders chest back pushups (dumbbells resistance bands)
lower body-squats, lunges, stand or laying down leg lifts
stretch after each workout.
pick a day to get in a full body stretch maybe on your rest day.
