I have been told by a specialist that I have to reduce the amount of potassium I eat. She wouldn't recommend a dietician as my kidneys are not that bad. I went to one that I had heard of and she gave me the name Davita to look at. I was using their food journal but for the last 6 months they have discontinued it. Is there an app that could help me count my potassium? I do try to journal here on SparkPeople but have to search continually to see if the food entry has the potassium listed.
I have been a member of SparkPeople for many years and live near Toronto, Canada for the last 11 years, before that I lived in NWO for almost 30 years. I have lost 90 lbs since joining SparkPeople but it was a very slow loss!
Can anyone help me find a good site to journal my food intake.

I can understand. It's certainly is scary. What stage are you in if they've told you yet? I'm stage 3a as of last year. I go back in November so hopefully, it hasn't changed. I use some recipes from Davita. Mainly, eat veggies and fruit. Drink 8 cups of water if they haven't put you on a fluid restriction. Please ask any questions you have and I'll try to answer them. Welcome to the team!

Hi Iโ€™m new here I tried to lose weight before but I kept getting sicker. Now my kidneys came to join the ๐ŸŽ‰ ๐ŸŽˆ party. I am itching and burning all over and about to go in for a biopsy. I also have found that during a stress test my heart shows parts of it arenโ€™t getting any blood so I am scared. I am trying to change my diet and focus on my health and avoid the COVID monster that is so ravenous here in Texas
