Did any hear about the 92 dogs that were dumped in Texas. The video was heart breaking. I live in NY, but I pray that they let me adopt one of these poor babies.

With Love and Hope for a bright Future.

I live in the country and I see the dumping happen every single year around thanksgiving. It breaks my heart. I know this story to well. Already cramped but oh well, everyone gets along and it's only one more mouth to feed.
It's hard to balance. Bless you for your compassion and trying to keep the baby safe.

Thanks you for taking in that poor fellow. I often hope that I don't come across any homeless animals because I can't afford to keep any more than my three cats (all rescues) but I know I wouldn't be able to just leave them to fend for themselves.

husband says it Buddy Blue. Blue is also for the blue heeler.
I like the color blue and Buddy was the name of a dog my dad gave away. It broke my heart.

Tazinite.

When I got my rescue cat, it took her two weeks to get rid of the diarrhea. The vet told me to feed her plain yogurt - and that seemed to work. She is such a sweet indoor cat and doesn't even try to go outdoors. I think she remembers what her life was like before I got her, and she's content to stay safe indoors. She's just the sweetest cat and I've had her for 6 years now. We think she was 2 when I got her - and she nursed a litter of kittens that had been turned into this rescue home - which was a home, and the cats had run of the house.

I'm so glad you found this sweet dog - it sounds like he is slowly becoming part of your family. Let us know if/when he gets a name.

I think he is a blue heeler. Which mean high energy dog. Goes right along with our Mocha which is a german shorthair or visla cross. Now my husband is thinking of names. This is why I didn't want to bring him home. May the good Lord help us. I had strong willed dogs for a while. This one so far seems eager to please. My husband refuses to let me take him to the shelter. I do like him anyway, We had a cat find us once at a state park. Poor thing was starving and followed us 2 miles on our hike in the rain. Poor thing would have died if we left her there. She is the sweetest cat ever. It took over a month to get her to digest food without diarera.

Never give up.

Oh, I would just love to have this dog! I have a cat, and it sounds like this dog would get along fine with my cat - and I think my cat would love the company. I wish I lived in Iowa - I'd come get him. But, I've learned I can't "wish" for things that aren't possible - but I will be praying that someone who will really appreciate this dog (besides you) will find him. You truly are an angel. emoticon

I haven't found a home. There are so many unwanted dogs out there. I did bring him home. He is tied up outside. He is very gentle except for his jumping. I think that is because he is so lonely. And after you work with him he stops that. He is so wonderful. He was scared of the house so I know he would be terrified at the shelter. I will foster him maybe. I just don't know what to do. 2 of my dogs are very unhappy about him. Skeeter who is a little lateese total 10 lbs was biting him. This dog is medium size. He just took it. No agression at all. He will let the cats come up to his bowl and he backs off. He got his first meal and scarfed it down after I pushed my cats and dogs away. I told my husband I was taking food down. I looked for poop and the most there was was really dried up. 3 piles which showed me he wasn't eating. I didn't take food down the 2nd day I went cause I forgot and remembered my husband said to see if he was still there on Monday. So I gave him some sunflower seed that day. My husband said I could bring him home. I decided that was better than driving 15 miles to feed a dumped dog.

Never give up.

Nope. I used to volunteer at it. It is a horrible thing to see the dogs locked up in a 3 by 6 space all day. Most of the time the light are off so they won't bark. I hate shelter like this.

We are in south central Iowa. If anyone could help I would try and meet you.
I posted it on facebook and no replies. I have ask friends. Will try to find some good shelters. A life in a shelter is terrible too. He is a great dog. I am going to try some emails.

You've already have good information from other, the only thing I can add is to check with your friends, and ask them to check with their friends, and perhaps someone will be found. Word of mouth can be a very good thing. Also, are you on Facebook? If so, post it there.

I do believe rescue animals know we are their saviors and appreciate us. I have had several rescue animals, and all of them were so wonderful I won't consider any other kind anymore. There are so many animals that need a loving home that it just doesn't make sense to adopt any other. I do pray that this dog finds a good forever home. emoticon

There must be non kill rescue units in your area. If not contact one of the rescue units that specialize in one breed and see if they can help you locate a center or a home for this little animal. I am seeing more people taking rescue animals so there is a demand for them. I have a freind that has taken two in the last year. That is her limit, but she has sweethearts. Each different but both so loving. I swear they know she was their savior so they repay in every way. Keep and eye on the little one and let us know

Keep on track

Saturday my dh and I went by a old church. It is in the country in a neighborhood where I grew up. As we stoped a dog came out. Today I went and checked on it. It was still there. Nails were trimmed and water there. Collar was removed. Nice dog. My dogs got out by accident and it was friendly. I have 4 dogs. 2large and 2 small. We live in town. I don't see how I can take it in. Our shelter will lock it up in a tiny pen. Which will make it all hyper and nobody will ever see what a good dog it. is. Please send a prayer up for this sweet dog.

Never give up.
