I do 2 5-minute jogs up and down the pool during my aquafit exercising. My heart won't take any more right now.

I jog in the water daily, but I use a noodle and I suspend, cannot do that much impact on the knees, and I love suspending.

Just for today ..... it really is one day at a time

Just tried it this weekend. I love the idea, but there has to be a bottom that doesn't have too much slope.

Jogging is always a part of my water aerobics classes. We jog forwards and backwards across the pool at LA Fitness. Their pool is ony 4' 6" at it's deepest so we can go from end to end. We also jog in place between each exercise that we do.

I jog from the 5ft-8ft and back with the water weights in my hands.with both arms and legs moving. Right now though, the Y has the indoor pool closed for maintenance for 3 weeks. I've been forced to go to the fitness center and walk the treadmill and use other weight machines. Other places have indoor pools but are not open early enough for me (5:30 am). I really miss the pool since I have knee and back issues!!

I jog and run suspended in the deep end, no impact for these knees.

I actually do a sort of walk/run/bounce down pool type thing. I go forward and backward. I alternate that with a sidestep from one end to the other and sidestep opposite the other way, so it kinda looks like this..forward to one end, backward to the other...sidestep to the left all the way down..sidestep to the right all the way to the other end. I do this for anywhere from 30-50 minutes usually..I have done it for an hour if I'm not planning to finish with a swim...Lately I've started mixing it up on some days with the aerobics class going on at the same thing.I join in on the parts that I want to..lol and then go back to my walk

I had my very first class on Thursday evening, and we did some jogging. Forwards and backwards stuff.

As part of my water aerobics class, we jog in place for a minute as a recovery. When there are only a few people that show up, we will run in the shallow end (3 foot to 4 foot) of the pool & reverse direction to get water resistence.

I've been going to warm water physical therapy doing core exercises and cycling with a noodle, but have started trying to jog in the water. They use to have an underwater treadmill which was great but it broke. Has anyone tried kettleball in the water?
