You might need it drained. I just had to have mine drained and it feels better.
We are going to go check out a new pool ---maybe tomorrow ----to see if we think it would work for us. Fingers crossed.

I had swelling in my knee so I've been going to physical therapy. I will see the Rheumatologist tomorrow. I was able to go to my water aerobics and just move around at least.

So much energy this weekend since my body was not fighting constant pain. But I was a bit more painful yesterday---might have been the weather.

That's what I do when my knee is bothering me when I get in the water---if it hurts in the water, I go back to doing an exercise that doesn't hurt---that way I am still moving but not damaging it more.
I just got a shot in my knee and a shot in the opposite hip on Wednesday---I feel like a new person and waking normally now and even going up and down steps normally---but I do have to be careful on steps----it still twinges a bit when I put weight on it there but not when walking.

That's too bad about the pool you have been going to. I went to physical therapy yesterday because I'm having pain in my knees. I've been using my cane when i walk in the Mall. I went to my water aerobics today. I'm going to take it easy though.

Just found out that they are not going to let the public take classes at the pool at the therapy place---there is another option we are checking into but not sure if we want to go there---so I might be dropping off this team due to not being able to go anymore.

I'm sorry I haven't been to this team page in awhile. I've taken a break from the water aerobics, which has been good and bad. The GOOD part is that my arm and shoulder are not hurting 24/7, like they had been. The repetitive arm exercises were the culprit. Despite the lectures I got from others about making sure I exercised my arm so I wouldn't get frozen shoulder, it's actually been better for me NOT to use it during the aerobics classes. Reason being, it's my dominant arm and it gets regular daily use. The aerobics was just too over the top for what my shoulder can handle. The BAD news is that I need to get back to exercising the rest of me....period. I've been thinking about starting up walking again, since the weather here is perfect for that right now. Kinda cold for an outdoor pool, but, nice for walking & bike riding. When it gets nice enough for the pool, I will see about trying out the aerobics without doing the arm exercises.

It will, especially when you aren't feeling very good---so don't give up. I know I do so much better when I get in my 2 workouts each week and really feel it when I don't get in those workouts.
I couldn't go last Wednesday as I had shots in my hips that day----looking forward to being in the pool tonight.

I like to be up to my neck in the water. It makes for easier exercise movement, that way. Easier movement & little chance of aches and pains. I've decided that my arm & shoulder get enough everyday use that for me to rest it in the pool is a good thing. The repetitive arm exercises (with or without pool dumb-bells) was making my arm hurt 24/7. It ached all the time and hurt just from ordinary use. I will let that be my guide of what to do and not to do.

Definitely don't use those waterbells in the pool---they could aggrevate it ----but I would advice getting professional advice .
I don't do arm exercises in the shallow end---or anything in the shallow end---too often squats up there bother my knee a lot and I would rather be able to walk on land than do the exercises in the water and injure it worse. But I do enough knee exercise in the deep end where I don't put pressure on the joint doing them.

Thnx for the advice. After not doing ANY arm exercises at water aerobics, I got plenty of advice about making sure I didn't create a bigger prob and making myself get frozen shoulder. I left so confused. I've decided not to worry about it b/c I use my arm & shoulder all the time when not in the pool. It makes sense to me to let the arm relax a bit while in the water. The times it seems to hurt the worst, lately, is just that I can feel it when rain is on the way. emoticon

Yes, I did have to take a couple of weeks off from the pool but back in it for a while. Watch what you do in the pool and avoid the arm exercises or do them very slow to see if they hurt---if they hurt, switch to something else until they move on. I do that when my knee is bothering me
Weather here is yoyoing a lot---but I think it will be too hot all week and the ac will have to stay on---yesterday was lovely and we got a lot done cleaning off the front porch and all the outside furniture in the back---but now we can't enjoy it because of the heat---grrrrrr

No suggestions on anything other than ibuprofen, when needed. I've noticed my shoulder doesn't hurt 24/7 ever since I'd taken time off from the water aerobics classes. The good news is that now its warm again & I've been spending more time in the pool. Haven't been to aerobics, yet; but I make sure to get good exericse whenever I'm in the water. I'll start classes soon and see how it goes. Hoping for the best. (I'm much to young to feel this *&^% old! I think we could all say that, couldn't we???)

Hope all is well with you & you're back in the water again?

Glad it's not the rotator cuff but bummer about arthritis. Did doctor offer a cortisone shot?
I still can't get in the pool. Burn is healing but need to wait until next week so scab doesn't come off in the pool.

I think our community pool has had some heating issues lately, too. (I haven't been consistent in getting back to class.) I'm realizing that I need to change what I do for any of the arm exercises, as it hurts my shoulder regardless. I finally mentioned to DR, she took x-rays. My "bum shoulder" is arthritis and not rotater cuff problems. At least there's that. Any kind of extra movement aggravates it, tho. I need to be very careful.

Sounds wonderful. I miss having my walking buddy for Saturday mornings.
I decided that the chlorine water of the pool might not be good on my burn or my scrape so I stayed home last night---dh went and said it was good I didn't go---the pool wasn't as warm as usual due to a pump issue earlier that day and my body needed warm water to help soothe the soreness from my fall.

It's finally started warming up enough for a full water aerobics class, once again. We've gone a few times & was happy to bring my visiting friend along. Today, was too windy for it; and we ended up going somewhere where we could get some good walking in.

No, didn't see that---I don't believe anything he says anyhow--of course we are going to have 6 more weeks of winter---it is, afterall, winter! LOL
Too tired and too cold yesterday to go to the pool---got chilled yesterday in and out of the cold rain yesterday plus didn't sleep well on Sunday night--so I think I am finally caught up with that.

I finally got in the pool today. I've been sore, all week & could really tell (during aerobics) that I haven't been to class in a loooong time. Was a lil worried that that would mean I'd be even more sore. So far, I feel pretty good, tho.

I've heard all the bitter cold forecasts, and sympathized! It seems to warm up, some; then change it's mind & get COLD. Did you see the meme where the groundhog changed his mind?

Pool heater was not working properly yesterday---it was okay but not as warm as it should be and it seemed to be getting cooler as we were in it. We talked about the cold and most of us are not planning on going on Wednesday night because of that.
We won't be as cold as up there but we are going to have below zero wind chills here this week--yuck! But today will hit 50, then plummet tonight.
I had off yesterday---only teachers had to go in---so I have had 3 Mondays in a row off--I have enjoyed my 3 day weekends.
When you aren't used to the temps, it can feel really cold---hope it warms up a bit for you.

I hope you are staying warm & safe, out of the bitter cold. I've been following the MI forecasts. Scary stuff. Schools closed until Thurs, amongst other places. Gov called for state of emergency, b/c of bitter cold temps. We are even "cold" here in the south, but, not by northern standards. When I walked the dog in 40 degrees, yesterday, I repeated to myself "You can do this! You used to walk the dog in snow & ice." Sunday, it rained ALL day. Literally, ALL day.

Luckily my pool is indoors and they got our heater fixed and it is really working this time. The water feels wonderful, esp. with the cold weather we are having. Having lots of issues with my knees because of the frequent weather changes but the pool does help with that.

E-gads. Just when DH was going to start joining the water aerobics, we hear that the pool heater has been broken. (Outdoor pool in FL; but, this IS our winter....so, it's been too cold for water to be heating up on its own.....) I admit, I'm a chicken-little and won't be getting into the pool until the outdoor temps are a lot warmer. For now, I'm enjoying brisk dog walks.

At my Red Hats mtg, someone was telling me how she'd once found cute purple (tiny child sized) skirts. I thought she was going to say what a shame it was that it didn't come in adult sizes. But, nope! She said that she'd purchased the tiny skirts & used them as embellishments for one of her red hats. (I'm thinking she was able to gather it for ruffles....) She said, "I found them at one of those Dollar stores....." Ok. This is enough for me to make sure I check out the clothing section, next time I'm in one of those.

I'm glad you were able to get a good workout and a warm ride home.

This morning I met Trish and the kids for a little shopping at Dollar Tree. I got gift wrao and bows plus a couple of yard stakes.

LOL--I don't really mind the cold because I can get warm and wear sweaters, etc.
Good pool workout last night--did almost all the exercises---switched a couple but still kept moving. The water was nice and warm and dh heated up the truck before I came out so it wasn't bad to go.

The wind made it feel colder here yesterday and colder today---it's kind of funny that we have the same temps.

I hope you don't get any more cramps. I know they are painful.
Our temperatures are in the middle 40s which is cold for this area with possible freezes tonight.

We got a lot of rain yesterday, too.
Got to the pool last night---but had to get out after an hour as I got an ankle cramp that started to spread to my foot---ouch! It even came back in the middle of the night. too. Guess I didn't drink enough yesterday.

Honestly, as much as the plumbers charge, they should have to come back and level and put down grass seed.
Back to work and back to the pool tonight.

I can see we need to spread the dirt around a bit more to level it out . We'll have to watch if new growth is grass or weeds though it's not easy telling the difference. emoticon

Enjoy the soup, it sounds yummy.

Hope they do a good job putting the yard back together after they were finished. I know what a mess that can be. Ours broke a few years ago---but inside the basement---but the piping was so old that the whole thing needed to be replaces and we went ahead and replaced the water line coming into the house, too. Not cheap but we should have no major problems with it for a long time. And this week we just got the last of the galvanized piping replaced under the house---thankfully not an issue for the plumber since we have a partially finished basement.
Going to make Turkey soup today.

When I walked out of the bedroom I grabbed another of my snowmen and lined it up with the rest.
The plumbers came back today and replaced the section of sewer pipe that broke yesterday. That was fun emoticon

My dh will be adding stuff for the next 2 weeks. He needs help for the high stuff and then he just figures on something else to put up---LOL My house collection is almost ready to be wired by my son. He's the pro at that---LOL---afterall, he does that kind of thing for a living.

Sounds like you had a nice day. It was very windy and cold here. My youngest son came and helped start the outside lighting---but they had to take breaks to warm up---he is coming back today to do some more---hopefully not as cold out there.
My sister gave me a great compliment yesterday---she said my dinner tasted just like Mommom's dinners.

We just finished dinner prepared by Trish, our youngest daughter. She did a great job with turkey, ham, collard greens, mashed potatoes, corn, plus a few other things. She has a pie in the oven now. I'm watching the tree branches swaying like crazy so hope it doesn't push us around too much on the way home. It's not a long drive but the Honda Fit is rather small.

I know what you mean, it doesn't feel like Christmas if it is too warm. Actually I didn't put out much Fall decor because it just didn't feel like Fall until November---so I don't have that much to put away before I decorate for Christmas. I put away all the family pictures yesterday and put up the new snowman I bought since it was the not stored away.
The turkey and sweet potatoes are cooking and I get a break for a bit before I need to do more.

Woke up today to temperatures in the 40s-that should make it easier to get in the spirit. I have a collection of snowmen and let the girls put out one whenever they're here. Today they're just staying home.

Dh should have mowed one year again before we put ours up. This year it was the bushes that had to be done. We usually have some of the lights up before Thanksgiving but our helpful son has not been available to help.
Glad to be off for the holiday---my knee did feel a lot better yesterday but I was very careful not to overdo it. We will see how it goes today.

I was feeling good yesterday morning but in the afternoon, when I went to get up, I almost went down---feels like a baker's cyst is forming on the back of my right knee. I iced it when I got home and I did go to the pool but only did straight leg exercises---but the warm water seems to have helped a lot---it does feel better at the moment ---but if it flares again today I will be calling the doctor.
Glad you got part of the yard done. Do you have to mow grass year round? Yuck!

I did pick up some more decor while out shopping yesterday---LOL---just cannot resist---I could have bought a lot more, too. Did get a lot more for gd---only having one makes it easier or worse---we do love to spoil her.
Looking forward to getting in the pool tonight--been over a week since I have been in.

Our teenage granddaughter loves that store.
We have time to get the decorations out. There are a couple stores I want to check out before I start. Of course I first have to check how many bulbs or strands work or don't.

I wouldn't mind starting some of that but dh's back is really bothering him and I am not asking him to bring up anything from the basement. But at least we got the front yard ready for the decorations yesterday with our gd's help. We went to Five Below and she was thrilled to find a llama for her reward for helping. I found some gifts for people at school, too, so it was a good trip.

Better to give a useful gift for the girls in that kind of situation. I hope she applies for help with those things and uses her money wisely.
I did have a busy day---reached 4 miles yesterday. Have gd all day and we plan on doing some outside work to prepare for Christmas lighting---hope to get that up soon but the helpful son is very busy right now---bummer! I hope he plans on coming over early on Thanksgiving to start that stuff--we always have some lights up before that day but doesn't look like that this year.

You're doing great. I didn't do much today but did take a little my Christmas decorations out of the closet then went to pick up a cake for Aaliyah's 3rd birthday. We also took a gift which was strange but they haven't had money to pay their bills so because both girls love oatmeal and applesauce I filled a box with them. Both girls loved it. Now it's time to finish sparking and get all the closet stuff off my bed so I can get in it tonight!
