I ran my first 5k today in 29:38. I was #10 out of 52 women in my age group! There was a total of 882 runners. I was #73 out of 468 women & #232 out of 882 overall. It was AWESOME!!!

I completed my first half marathon in 1:48:26 this Sunday, despite having packed one left Adidas shoe and one right Nike shoe in my overnight bag. Ladies, if you ever have a big race far from home remember to doublecheck that you have packed everything you need, ESPECIALLY your shoes!

Good job to everyone! I've done only 2 races so far, but they give me a ton of motivation. Just finished a 10K Trail Race on Saturday, which was actually closer to an 11K. My sister and I finished in 1:08:21! Very proud and still a little sore, but can't wait for another race. Keep it up, everybody!

Wow, you ladies are AWESOME! Cheers to you!

I ran Race for the Cure today (along with 19,000 other people!) I ran the whole way and finished in 36:00:04.

My mom and I used to walk it together, but she died in 2004 after a 10 1/2 year battle with breast cancer.

Now I run it for her!

Official Time on Saturday was 52:13! I beat my old 10K PR by about 1:20 so I'm pumped. With some more weight loss and training I bet I can do even better next time!

Competed in my first chip-timed race on Sunday. Portland Race for the Cure. Finished in 33 minutes. Now I have the bug...looking for my next race. Maybe something in October?

I finished my second half marathon yesterday, the ING Distance Run in Philadelphia. It was an incredible race, beautiful course, beautiful weather, it was great!

I managed to knock almost 6 minutes off my first half time, so I was extremely happy with it!

I ran my second ever 10K this morning in Greenwood, MS at the 300 oaks Road Race. Great course, lots of fun, perfect weather and I had a PR! My last time was 53:31 and this time I crossed under 53 (I think 52:30 ish?) Official times will be posted soon online but I'm really happy with how I ran!

I'm gonna take a few days to rest (working out sans running) and start training for the St. Jude's marathon on December 5th in Memphis.

I got a new personal best on Saturday. I ran the Layton Classic 5k in 34:37. My old PB was 37:51, so that was an awesome time for me. I'm so excited. I think I'm gonna plan on running a half in May.

Over the weekend, we finished Hood to Coast. It took our team 32 hrs 35 min to finish 197 miles. My 3 runs totalled 17 miles and I averaged about 11:14 pace. I cannot wait to do it again next year. :D

The Perfect 10-Miler. Even though the race started at 7:30am this morning it was HOT!!! It's 90 degrees here today plus humidity. The course had a few hills and inclines, nothing to major but today they seemed like mountains. I haven't ran 10 miles since my last half marathon back in June so I was quite proud of myself for getting through the whole thing without walking. I was aiming for 2 hours but came in a tad bit earlier with a time of 1:51:53. I'm really please with my results and now I know I can pick up the pace a bit on my next half marathon.

Amazing job ladies! I had a 5K last weekend and did it in 27:38..full of hills, but they really worked in my favor!

I have an 8 mile trail run this saturday and I am so nervous. I have never ran anything over 7, but I have been really working on slowing my pace down so that I can really tackle longer runs! I hope that the adrenaline and excitement of this race can carry me when my legs feel as though they are gonna fail!

Keep up the great work ladies!!! You are such inspirations!

Great JOB Kris and Robyn!!

I ran the Too Hot To Handle in Dallas today and it was a beautiful run around White Rock Lake BUT

I didn't handle the heat well at all. I kept a nice consistent pace through the first 5 miles, then mile 6 was ragged, and then it was just a grueling final few miles. The wind had turned and was just hot, not cooling. The sun was right on me, lots of hills going up and down. I'm proud of me for finishing what I started, but I won't underestimate the heat again....

Okay, it's not really a Race, but we did another benchmark run today, 15.5 miles. I'm happy to report 3:17:29! the last mile we chanted, "we can do this, yes we can" to keep our pace steady and to make it to the end without slowing.

Sandy - that's great! Way to! A hilly course - I'm in Columbus, OH - not too many of those here. Have fun!

I ran my 2nd 5k on 7/11. I beat my previous PB by 9 whole seconds with a time of 37:51. This course had a lot more hills so I guess that's not too bad. I've already signed up for my next 5k on 9/12. That course is REALLY hilly. I'd better start getting ready for that one!

10 K was this morning in the memphis area. Time-wise I didn't do great. Don't know my official time yet but i saw the clock at over 57 minutes when I crossed the finish line (I ran a 10K in April in 53 min and change). a bit disappointed in my performance but considering the conditions (HOT! and HILLY!) I think I did OK. Went shopping afterwards to cheer myself up and fitting into size two jeans at gap made me feel better ;) I have been shunning the scale for the last week or so but I hope I've dropped a pound or two with al of my training.

Next race? I'm not sure. I'll look for a 5K at the end of July/early August. There's a half marathon nearby in October and I'm definitely running the St. Jude's Marathon in Memphis on Dec 5th (long term goal).

I have been getting in shape and recently started training for a 5K. Tomorrow is the BIG day. I am nervous and excited at the same. I can't wait to get in and get down to business.
