SEAWITCHBLUE, don't avoid your meetings. Keep moving forward even if you are off. This is about YOU and there is nothing more important

I'm avoiding my Slimming World meetings until I think I've got back to my target weight.
So little activity during the last two months - don't know when I was even out of breath

Hi Carol
I am here everyday , and you are right, there is very little activity. I try to check in on all my teams daily and post. It keeps me focused on what I am trying to accomplish. I am one of those people who starts something and never finishes. That's one of the changes I want to make...set a goal and follow thru. I realize that we do not have thousands of members but I am sure we all have a lot of important things to say and ideas to share. emoticon

Hi all,
This site has been very quiet recently.
I've not been around cos a bad hip/back prevented me from sitting at computer for long.
I went through a busy time collecting point in the /games room regularly but no-one else has been playing there for ages.
Mebbe everyone is outside enjoying the summer emoticon

I am here and I can be here everyday if you'll join me. Looking forward to a day out with family today. Since I started my walking again I've also started getting out more and having fun. Being overweight also affects your social life and it becomes easier and easier to stay home and be "comfortable" rather than go out and be active. Here's to an active Sunday emoticon

I agree - where is everyone? Summer or winter we all need friends and support.

I would think summer would have more success in food control, with more fresh local produce available. Perhaps the slowness of the teams, is people are just more busy with entertaining, gardening and outdoor sports.

Spring and summer the participation usually drops, everybody is busy, busy! Then when members over indulge by fall they are flocking back. Christmas rolls around and oops over indulgence again! The New Year ushered in with resolutions, members start all over again. No wonder the diet world is booming!

I agree!
Its just you 'n' me in the Games Room!
I tried to encourage more to join us with a Huddle remark yesterday.
Perhaps more will turn up as a result of these letters.
