Tonight I'm grateful for:

-Getting trash out for me and my neighbors
-Essential services (trash, electricity, water and the like)
-Enjoying cooking and making tasty, healthy recipes
-The pharmacy getting Cleo's eye drops refilled in the midst of strange times
-The sweet Cleo who has not fought me one single time and usually comes when called for the eye drops; my vet asked if I knew how lucky I was to have a cat like that (and yes, I do)
-Rosie and me playing lots of fetch today
-My soft, comfortable bed that's calling me now, and I can see kitty ears of little ones waiting for me as I type this from my home office

Goodnight all,
Stephanie

Thankful for: being able to deliver a package of TP to a beloved & elderly friend. She lives alone, and it is good to be able to keep in touch with her.

And for growing up with depression era parents, thrifty (sometimes too much so!), thoughtful, environmentalists before there was such a thing thought about. Take care of the earth, and the earth will take care of us... oh yes!

And thankful for puppy girls big smile when I came back from delivery. We are always so happy to see each other again.

Ann - I swear I smell that fresh baked bread at your house!!! Sounds SO good!!

On this Monday evening, I'm grateful for:

-Second "test ride" on my bike round the 'hood, 15 minutes this time and front tire is holding!
-Another bike ride happening shortly on my recumbent
-Finding my niche with my home steeps on tea; my current love is Republic of Tea Ginger Chocolate with a splash of skim milk (no added sugar)
-Ordering a cool looking whistling jade green tea kettle
-Recognizing I'm getting hurt feelings a bit too easily; almost always means not enough exercise for me and that holds true in this case (hence, the recumbent bike ride coming up)
-Clean sheets and clean kitty blankets on top of the bedspread ... aaaaah ... a warm shower before bed tonight to appreciate them even more
-A cup of hot tea and a good book ... about as good as it gets for now

Have a great evening all -
Stephanie

Thankful for: @KALIGIRL always love seeing your posts.

And thankful that Rosy loves children. She had a good time with the little girl next door, who, when Rosy demonstrated her spin, sat down in the dirt and did a spin too. LOL. Bet her Mom was amused at the dirty pants.

Thankful that so far, Instacart is ... working? We may even have toilet paper coming, you never know.

@SLASALLE the vets were going to send me and Bridie to see the vets at the vet school in Knoxville, TN because an eye thing was not clearing up and they were worried about her losing the sight in that eye. Lo and behold, I accidentally forgot to give her her eye meds, noted that the redness was clearing up, and thought, "Oh good!" did the drops, and the redness came back. So I stopped giving her the meds and her eye cleared up beautifully. This after two or three different meds and quite a few vet appointments.

When I went back to see them that last time, they were so pleased with the improvement until I told them that it was stopping the medication that helped... we talked about it and decided that there was something in the eye meds that she was reacting to. I have the same problem, just a sensitivity to the preservatives used in eye meds, I think. (Not saying that's what Cleo has, just an interesting side story). So I know the stress of having something not clearing up as quickly as preferred.

Thankful: we got most of our needed groceries, and were able to find some cottonelle wet wipes to help out a neighbor who was so low on TP that she was saving newspaper to use instead. Oh dear. So glad we could help her out. Hoping to find TP at the next shoppping visit.

Thankful also for the 2nd shot of the shingles vax, even tho I react badly to them. Much better the shot than the shingles.

Thankful for current beautiful weather... more sun than we've seen in days!

Kim - Thanks for the Cleo well wishes ... it's been a long haul on this eye thing, and I guess it will still be, but seems the worst is over

Tonight I'm grateful for:

-Working from home getting more manageable every day
-Dear friend used my garage code while I was working today and aired up my bike tires; I might get my first bike ride this week!
-Getting my weekly Trader Joe's shop in; so impressed with how they're handling everything AND I found all that I needed (and a few "wants" as treats) AND THEY HAD MORE HEIRLOOM ORANGES!! Woo Hoo! I ate my last one at lunch!
-These sweet kitties I live with, such love, companionship and entertainment
-The peace and calm I feel, despite all the madness happening in the world
-Always, my health
-NOT watching/listening to daily news; I get my information once daily from my company, who follows doctors and scientists

Have a great evening all -
Stephanie

So glad for Cleo's good news!

Thankful that: I finished a big grocery shopping before the governor's stay at home order was issued. We missed the panic and the rush to ransack the stores. People are really frightened. Poor people.

Thankful for another beautiful day. i can see spring coming. Thankful for the ability to make plans and to execute. And very thankful that we were able to help out the restaurants by ordering takeout.

All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of thing shall be well. Julian of Norwich.

-A super solid night of sleep, my best in a few days
-Working from home becoming more manageable
-The wonderful curry I made smelling up the house in such a good way
-Still having 2 Trader Joe's heirloom oranges
-Trying to hold off on a grocery trip until end of week

Tonight I'm grateful for:

-Continued cooking, eating well and still have plenty of supplies
-Midnight tonight starts 30-day "shelter in place," which I think is wise
-The outdoors!! It is not cancelled or off limits as long as you keep a good distance
-A great 45-minute walk, even if no sunshine, the fresh air works wonders for me
-My vet's office; Cleo has to be seen again to check her eye problem and they have a reasonable and doable plan
-My sweet, loving kitties; two of them got mani-pedis today and I think I'll have the vet get Cleo taken care of since I'm putting her through plenty with eye drops 2x daily for weeks now

Grateful that:

we know that for the next three weeks, we will be doing a stay-at-home executive order. It helps to know WHAT we are going to do rather than wondering and anticipating what might happen.

And really grateful that I got our grocery shopping done this morning, EARLY before the governor made her announcement and she did say, don't hoard.... there is no need, I do know that people will do it anyway. Probably.

Thankful that I finally "sourced" diced tomatoes. The cans are enormous, but we have diced tomatoes! Which we use in many recipes.

And really thankful to be home after all that fetching and carrying. Pickup is still work!

I hope all of you are well and healthy! I have been thinking of all of you often!

Today I am thankful for:

I donít have Covid 19! Itís pretty quiet here in Tennessee. With all my joint problems, I have had many problems doing my work in the past few years, but with all the isolating Iím glad to have a job out in quiet landscapes with just a few employees around.

I have Insurance and can still work. Iím so worried about those who donít and hope the federal response speeds up!

my neck procedure Friday!!! I have been waiting for 13 months for it. It was the first procedure delayed due to my weight and the last one the doctor started doing in his office without anesthesia.

my new Tabby Cat Discover card! My catís eyes are a bit darker green, but it looks just like the big guy! I saw a ladyís card that had tulips on it- gorgeous- asked her about it and when looking found the Cat Card!!! Luvvvvv it!

getting Grammarly connected to Google Pages where I write this!

Car Talk, Wait! Wait! Saturday morning ritual

Take care, Bob

Grateful for: Dad scored toilet paper while out today. We were not completely out, but not being able to go buy TP whenever we wanted was an interesting experience.... continual out of stock notes and now "pick up only in store" messages. Hard to maintain social distancing in those circs! But reminded of this.... we're lucky to have TP instead of using washcloths all the time. And fortunate that there are people who engineer TP and that there are factories out there still working on producing it.

And grateful for the interesting fact that a "local" (across the state) high school team had created a 3 ton pyramid of TP last summer and were now selling it off FOR THE SAME PRICE they paid for it. What an amazing blessing for that community. We have so many interesting stories going on around us.

And so many stories of people behaving with grace and kindness. So grateful for those bits of light in every day.

Kim and Rosy, a heart team

Tonight I'm grateful for:

-Getting through two VERY long days of work (16 hours, then 12 hours) to cover what needs to be done for my company and our shareholders
-Being so busy that I don't have time to dwell on what's happening
-Cassie, Cleo and Rosie being SO good when I've not had near the time to show them attention like I usually do
-Friends who check in and offer to bring me anything I need
-Stocking myself well; tonight I'm super grateful that I purchased one, single frozen dinner, because that's all I had energy for (I rarely buy frozen meals)
-My soft bed that is calling me NOW!

Goodnight all,

Tonight I'm grateful for:

-Trader Joe's having everything I needed/wanted except one thing I can easily do without
-They still had my heirloom oranges (yay!) and I was able to get plenty of fresh freggies
-Treating myself to ice cream today
-Family and dear friends that are chosen family
-One friend simply mentioning that she'd gone out for a walk with her dogs and felt much better; that's all it took ... off I went to the park
-Checking in with 2-3 elderly friends
-My warm, comfortable bed that is calling me very soon ... along with three kitties (as soon as I get Cleo's eye drops done!)

Trying to send each of you some calm in the midst of the storms ...
